In the midst of the chaos of the battlefield, the army of angels came like waves. Those around the Ice Mountain stared at the place with an incomprehensible feeling, not fear, but a feeling that approached awe, difficult for anyone to understand.
“What the fuck is ... His team is too much.”
“Yes. It looked even more numerous than the Spartan army. If they still have more, there seems to be twice the number of humans.”
“Are we going to survive this war? Even if I am willing to die, can victory be achieved?”
“It .. looks impossible. Not to mention the presence of demons, the victory is further.”
Expectations seemed to be extinguished, when understanding the current battlefield conditions they knew that there was no great chance for humans to win. Indeed, the existence of Hero Creator and the weapons he brought were able to reverse the state of war.
Human combat power increased greatly thanks to him, but until when will it continue? There is a limit to where the power of Hero Creator can help. The rest depends on how each one lives it.
“Don't ditch hope!”
Shouts full of determination from an old-sounding voice. Turning around they found the person whose every strand of whitened hair spoke. He is Alexei who amassed his powers to try to save Hero Ray.
“Hope still exists. No matter what the situation, don't you realize that the Heroes still put our hopes and prayers on their shoulders?”
Everyone was silent to his words. The Heroes did not escape though, they certainly knew that fighting here would make them suffer and lose their lives, the news of the crippling Hero Petra had spread.
It encourages the anger of the people and the fighting spirit not to let it go to waste. Surely everyone who was here instead of giving up, they just lost hope of winning.
Rather than die under the rule of another race, they would rather die on the battlefield and have tried to make peace for them.
Heroes do not give up, although small victories chance in fact they still stand tall on the front line. Then what are they worried about? Was their determination shaken just by the sight of such a crazy number of troops? No, it's not that.
“The world is crazy, nothing can make it worse. At a turning point in time that will determine the future, hope cannot be destroyed. Until the end, never stop hoping. The human hope is endless!”
All the soldiers immediately withdrew their thoughts. Brandishing weapons, bluffing teeth also smiled, hearts smoldering and the darkness of the fear of death was wiped out.
“Man will surely die, because this world always demands a farewell. My colleagues, show your determination, prove that there is hope!”
Saying that Alexei immediately focused on Ray who was frozen in the middle of the Eternal Ice Mountain. He will never stop wishing, nor will he let everyone lose hope.
‘This strength depends on many expectations. The stronger they have, the more likely I am to pull Hero Ray out of the inner world. He had no idea what was going on there, which must have been Hero Ray fighting Regulus.
‘This is not a fight of his, I will also fight!’ Alexei convinced himself and wanted to prove that the old generation should not be underestimated.
***
In a place that no one else could reach, a world that was completely gray. Noiseless, colorless, no life. There was only a picture of a place filled with ice. Without cold air, without ever shivering.
A frozen place that had no impact whatsoever, stared here and there but found no one's whereabouts. Without life, without presence.
“Where is this?” Ray said flatly, his gaze wandering to look for anything that could be a clue.
Disappointment does not come long because there is only ice as far as the eye can see. A world without colors, sounds, and life is terrifying. Ray tried to find a way out and walked for some time, but found nothing.
He continued through and looked at the same place as if circling around at one point. The last memory he had was a fierce fight with Regulus. The reason why he arrived at this place was still gray in his memory.
“Sial! If this happens just like that, then the chances are only one—”
—Regulus brought me here, he thought.
If so, Regulus must be here, somewhere Ray has to find. Before further researching this place and searching, Ray identified things on him.
“Index is still running but I am unable to open storage. Hero Weapons and my real weapons are still together.”
Ray is grateful that although the deviation is inaccessible for unknown reasons, at least the two important weapons are still together. It would be bad if he lost his weapon. Ray was so bad about magic that in the event of a fight he could only rely on his bare hands.
He began to sit down and rest himself rather than walking aimlessly and just circling around. Holding the ice underneath, there was no coldness whatsoever. He just felt like he was holding onto something hard, it felt like he was holding onto hardened dust.
“No warm or cold. Does this thing not have any temperature?” Ray tries to destroy it with the Hero's weapon.
Although it causes damage but the rest there is nothing special that can be a clue. Ray thought of launching an attack at home to lure Regulus out, but the real risk was that he would be exhausted before the fight.
‘My feeling is not pleasant if it takes too long here. Even if it doesn't have any impact on me, I'm quite worried, once out of this place, time has already passed long enough.’
If he had been in this place for a year, it was not impossible that a hundred years had already passed and Ragnarok had ended. Ray was afraid of such a thing, in a new world, whether destroyed or not, he would be alone.
“I'd better try it first.” Ray sat cross-legged and took a quiet breath.
With a world without sound it is very easy for Ray to blend with nature. Immediately with just his consciousness he was able to sense the surrounding area. A picture of white stripes appeared in his mind. These lines are the shape of the object in this place.
Ray discovers that everything is magic and that nothing is real. It's easier that whatever Ray sees is something created by magic.
‘This place is like a square room but it will never be able for me to reach its end. Every time I approach the end of this room, I'll go back to the center.’
The reason he had kept going around in circles since earlier was because it was indeed impossible to leave here. The way the displacement works is the same as the spatial gate is everywhere and will bring back to the middle.
“Not wrong anymore, this is a trap of Space and Time.”
Ray did know that space magic still existed. Natalia's Teleportation and Spatial belong to space magic, but time magic is hard to believe. He only knew two people who might use it.
Lucifer and Hero Creator, Amatsumi Rigel. While facing each other in front of the Gate of the Underworld, Lucifer used an ability that allowed him to move from one place to another. From the outside it looked like he had incredible speed or was able to teleport, but in reality Lucifer was able to move in a slow time zone.
This is revealed when Rigel dismantles it using his powers and thwart Lucifer's attempt to kill other Heroes. It's an unbelievable story but it's harder to imagine Rigel lying about it.
‘I'm not stupid to be trapped by a trap. But the other case if there is a situation that makes me unable to move. Like ... I tried to decapitate Regulus, and at that time he used a force that trapped you both in this space.’
It is probably similar to the Territory which also includes space magic. But there is a very clear difference between the two. Territory Magic was still possible to get in and out easily but this place made getting out impossible. In addition, the Territory still has the same time as the way of the world, in contrast to this strange room.
Ray decides to blend in deeper and look for other oddities of this room, for now it's best to call it Sub-dimensional.
By diving deeper, Ray will be able to see things he cannot see from the outside. Within a short time the scenery that appeared within his mind changed into completely white colors.
He looked at the white light around him and found one light that had another color. The light was right below him, deep in the ground. Light with a vivid purple color.
‘Then there is only one answer.’ Ray opened his eyes and found a way to get out.
“No matter how powerful or powerful the magic is, there will definitely be a source of power.”
Magic doesn't just exist. Like someone trying to light a fire without magic. They need to collect dry foliage and swipe rocks or smash iron to create sparks to ignite them.
Any phenomenon including magic requires origins and is no exception to this Sub-dimensional. The purplish light was definitely the reason for the existence of this strange room. Ray had no doubts about it but the problem was its location deep inside.
“My expertise is cutting and not digging. Had Aland been here, it wouldn't have been hard to dig it.”
The location was very far underground and so submerged. Although Ray can achieve it but it will take time and a lot of effort to do it.
Before making the decision to dig, Ray thought of destroying the Sub-dimension but it would also be useless and perhaps his attack would be on itself.
Ray held his chin and remembered what he could do. Accessing Index and diving into the many skills he could not fully remember, Ray discovered something unique.
“This ... is indeed a powerful skill to attack, I keep hiding it as a trump, but can this do it?”
Ray was skeptical of the skills he had discovered. Indeed its power was extremely great and did not drain much energy, as it was perfectly suited to be stored until the very last moment. He did not know whether using it now was wise or not, but if he wanted to get out then every means should be tried.
“I have to do it.” Ray stood up and took out his two swords, in a short time he exerted all his strength and jumped high into the sky.
He was free-falling, using a dagger made from Hydra's fangs in an oblique and outstretched position, while aligning the Hero's weapon with his face. Closing his eyes, Ray drained his strength, the Hero Dagger glowed bright white and as soon as Ray opened his eyes, the white light was replaced with golden.
“First —Destruction!” He used his dagger and caused a huge crack in the place where it landed. Soon he held out the Hero's Dagger, firmly stuck the tip into the white ice, “Dagger of Arion!”
The light is absorbed into the ground and forms a straight blade. The blade pierced through the white ground and finally split the shining crystal into a pool within the ground. The sub-dimensions began to split with the destruction of the crystal.
The pale world disappeared into complete white, before being replaced by pitch-black darkness. Ray reopened his eyes and found the afternoon sky. Thought he had returned, but he regained consciousness the fact that he was still trapped.
“I don't think you made it out of there.”
The giggling sound of amusement made Ray realize that the real way to get out of this endless room was to defeat its users. He looked around and found himself in the purple ice world. In front of him were hundreds of young children heading towards a chair of purple ice crystal, which was occupied by the Demon Pillar Regulus.
Ray shows a smile of anger and takes a strong swing, “I'll kill you and get out of here!”
“Try. This world is mine, no one can get out without my permission. Instead of going out, you should think about whether you are sure you can live in a world that goes my way.”
As if he had just gotten a challenge, Ray sent out four light slashes and restarted his fight.
