Hero Creator: The Last Hero

Hero Creator: The Last Hero
Ch. 87 — Magic Barrier

“Huh ... Finally finished too. But, there is no time to keep resting.” Hazama who was lying on the ground stared at the gripping red sky.

The fight in the Southwest bloc has ended but it is not the sense that this war is meeting its end. Both Rigel as the greatest power of man, the leader of the Devils Lucifer, and Michael's supreme Seraphim. None of them raised themselves and started the final battle.

Rigel had initially declared a declaration of war to them in an attempt to shorten the war. However, the other two leaders were not imbeciles who would come because of the challenge. They must have been quite daunted by Rigel's attack in the early rounds of the battle.

Full vigilance is inevitable and that is why this war will go on for a long time.

“Huh ... There is no time ... Break ...” Aland also agreed but was unable to speak properly because of his gasping breath.

There were many things they had to do as Heroes, allowing themselves to rest was not wise as the Legion soldiers struggled. Even Rigel who had to be kept until his time came was struggling to organize the death army that he personally commanded.

“Are you still able to move? Otherwise, I'll take you to Britannia for a break.” Hazama got up and looked at the sea of angels that were heading towards them.

He should have become worried because bad circumstances were about to arrive but other great powers were also coming towards them. There was no worry as they did not have to move in a hurry.

“Yes. I'll be back for a little rest ... How about you?” Aland still lay weakly and regulated his breathing.

Fatigue had been piling up on his body, although he had no curse power but using a hammer drained him of physical and magic power more than all the other Hero weapons. Hammer is actually great, if people with strange powers beyond ordinary humans like Rigel are able to use it to the maximum.

Depending on the user, a hammer weapon is capable of providing incredible destruction power. Had Aland not been too weak he could have used his previous strength just like breathing.

“I'll probably go help Ozaru, or go to the back line to protect them.”

Bellemere's forces are currently retreating to the rear line, where Ray is frozen. They needed to rest for some time as another wave of Legion soldiers, the Berserker headed for the battlefield.

Hazama doesn't know exactly how long the fight has been going, if the calculations aren't wrong then it should be night time. Humans are not great creatures who do not need rest. Although physically strong, the brain needs a chance to rest.

“Don't push yourself too hard. Your loss is a bigger blow than losing Marcel.”

It might be cruel to say it but the facts are true. Had Hazama fallen, mankind would not have had a chance to withstand the great attack that the opponent might have launched. Rigel may be able to handle it but he also has limits.

Easy to remove but difficult to use it so as not to waste it. If Hazama is holding him straight then the Full Counter he has is very useful because of fatigue not only from holding attacks but also for counterattacks.

“I know.” Hazama stood up and gave a helping hand to Aland who was still lying on the ground in a doldrums.

Taking a helping hand Aland stood up again despite staggering and almost falling. His head hurt with his body feeling so weak. However Aland was still able to cope with himself and he started to activate teleportation.

Hazama waits until Aland leaves and heads to another battlefield. But after a few minutes, Aland did not move. Hazama feels played or Aland tries to make a joke until she decides to ask.

“Do you think I would be that stupid to make a joke in this kind of situation?” Aland looked at Hazama with his troubles.

He still doesn't understand the situation. Aland was not joking, he had tried many times to access teleportation but instantly he constantly failed to use it on the grounds of magic interference or something like that.

Hazama is quite curious and tries to access it but the result is the same, she finally realizes the reason Aland did not leave by teleportation. Because neither Hazama nor Aland could travel by teleportation.

“It ... What does it mean?” Hazama is stunned that teleportation is no longer usable.

The case that they had experienced at one time was fighting with the Demon Pillar. But they were surprised because they did not realize that there was a barrier that had been created on the battlefield.

“The magic that disrupts teleportation, huh? It's very troublesome for us.” Aland felt cold sweat running down his back.

It was troublesome because other Heroes could not come to their aid. It took quite a long time running from the supervisor location to the battlefield. The other disadvantage was that those like the exhausted Aland would not be able to go to rest.

“What should we do?” Aland turned to look at Hazama who was also confused.

“This is troublesome indeed, but the problem is I wonder who is using this power. Could it be the angel side, or the devil?”

The main problem is that they do not know whether this magic is from enemies, or comrades. Worst of all, it's Lucifer's plan to exterminate the Heroes immediately.

“Whether it's demons or angels, they're both enemies. However, with this barrier is it possible to send soldiers to the battlefield?”

“That's the problem. I don't really understand the mechanics of the teleportation device Rigel created. As I recall he used some sort of coordinate point.”

There is no guarantee whether Rigel's teleportation is able to penetrate this magic or not. The worst was the last possibility, if it was unable to break through it then this wave of battle would be extremely bad.

They could no longer expect help from the other Legion soldiers as they took a very long time to reach the battlefield on foot. Even if it was not on foot, it would still take a full day to reach this place.

“We can only hope, this magic prevents anyone in it from teleporting but does not restrict people from outside the barrier to enter it.” Aland said as his body was laid by Hazama.

“Yes. But I don't know why I feel that Rigel has already thought about this kind of situation. During those peaceful times, he secretly deployed many people to build something secretly.” Hazama is not sure if his thinking is right or not but he believes Rigel has anticipation, “We can only hope he does something about this situation.”

“Yes. Please just be so.”

Aland and Hazama go towards the back line, they go through a great fight between Armageddon and the army of death.
