LET ME BE HAPPY

LET ME BE HAPPY
chapter 16

"Where is my phone?" muttered Devin while reaching into his pants pocket.

"Oh yeah, it's at the dinner table. Haaahhh, why do I forget about gini now." Devin patted his forehead slowly.

Devin turns his body around but he doesn't know that Adinda is right behind him.

"Openhhh!" pekik Adinda while rubbing her forehead against Devin's chin.

"Duh sorry, sorry Din. You're not the way to see." Devin reached out with a hand about to rub Adinda's forehead, but was immediately swept away by Adinda.

"So you're guilty of me?" Adinda pointed her index finger right in front of her own face.

"Bu-not so Din." Devin scratched his non-itchy nape.

"I am the way Dev. You're the one who suddenly stops and turns around." Adinda grunts annoyed. Devin could blame himself.

"Yes, I'm sorry I was wrong. I just wanted to grab my phone that was left at the dinner table" explained Devin.

"Now your phone!" Adinda put Devin's phone into her hand. Then he passed to the bed.

"It hurts Din?" tanya Devin saw Adinda grimacing while rubbing her forehead.

"You know what it is!" yang Adinda ketus.

"One more time I'm sorry Din" Devin said. He really did not know if Adinda was right behind him.

"We should go to bed soon, it's night." Devin went to the closet to pick up the blanket.

She frowned at the words she had just heard. Sleep ... should Adinda and Devin sleep together in one bed? They are legal to be husband and wife, but their relationship is confusing.

"So really we both sleep here?" Adinda squinted her eyes looking towards Devin. The annoyance he had felt had turned into a feeling of anxiety.

"Yes Din, but you're calm. We are roomed but not naked. I'll sleep on the couch." Devin pointed at the long sofa that was in his room.

It's not that Devin doesn't want to sleep in bed with Adinda. Remember that they often do it first as friends. But now the conditions are different. Devin was afraid of himself being caliph and could not help but pounce on Adinda.

Adinda breathed a sigh of relief. Adinda was afraid of Devin caliph and did more than they had done. Adinda blushed remembering the scene that made her seem hypnotized by the charm of a Devin.

On the other hand Adinda could not bear to let Devin lay herself on the sofa. It must have felt very uncomfortable. Especially having to do it for a year. However, it is also impossible if Adinda who has to sleep on the sofa right.

"Is it okay, Dev?" ask Adinda to make sure.

"it's ok Din. Or do you want us to sleep in bed? You must have been feeling addicted to what I did earlier, right? Or want more of it?" devin asked with a teasing grin.

"Relieve it!" pekik Adinda's. He turned his back on Devin. Covering himself with a blanket to the end of his head. Shame to remember her as enjoying what they both do.

Devin laughed as he took the pillow. Then he stepped onto the sofa and threw himself down.

 ---

"Din, I'll pick up the phone for a second." Devin pointed at the phone he was holding. Then walked away after seeing Adinda nod her head.

This afternoon they were shopping for kitchen needs in the mall. Adinda again pushed the trolley down the shelf where vegetables were lined up. Choose what vegetables will be the ingredients of the execution of the cook for a week.

"Aubergine, Cabbage, Carrot, Sawi. Hhmmm what else?" Adinda pick and sort vegetables. Then one by one put it into a grocery trolley.

"Lauk already, vegetables already. Now just look for fruits," murmured Adinda.

She turned her head to the right and left looking for Devin. But Devin didn't see the trunk of his nose. Actually he could have gone to the fruit booth first, but Adinda did not want Devin confused because she did not find Adinda was where Devin left her.

"All right, just for a second. I'd better sit down." My sister went to the waiting chair.

Adinda waited long enough but Devin never came back to him. Adinda just remembered the word for a while that Devin said could be all day. Adinda breathed heavily. Adinda feels that Devin is no longer the same as Devin.

Adinda decided to head to the fruit stand alone. Back pushed the trolley with a feeling of disappointment. Sometimes his head turned back. I wish Devin had followed his steps.

While in a different place. At a restaurant in the same mall. Devin was busy eating dishes at the table with Liona.

Liona accidentally saw Devin and Adinda at the meat booth. He contacted Devin to ask for an explanation. Ask him to accompany lunch together. Devin initially objected, but eventually he agreed because he did not want his woman to sulk.

Devin looked very happy. Even now Devin forgot about his purpose of coming to this place and with whom. With Liona he seemed to forget everything.

Devin had even forgotten one thing. He seemed to be chewing food. Sometimes laughter comes from both. Meanwhile, Adinda, he felt overwhelmed by the demo of worms who continued to hit the wall of his intestine.

Kruyuuukk.

"Please worms of the inhabitants of the intestine. Do not protest in the wrong time and place" murmured Adinda as she stroked her stomach.

"Devin is so evil. I knew I didn't have a wallet but instead left me for so long without a penny" Grumbled Adinda.

There was a laugh that felt close behind him. She turned her head to see who had dared to laugh at her.

"Mazur!" hiss Adinda.

"Who else is the guy who has a smile as sweet as sugar other than me Din?" Candra prided herself with a god-level confidence level.

Adinda twists lazy eyeball. Too bad he served a Candra. It's always like that. Although he admitted his presence slightly reduced his turmoil.

Candra just laughed while showing off her row of teeth that looked neat and charming. Then take over the trolley and push it.

"Eh uh, where are you going to Dra?" ask Adinda. He followed Candra's broad steps pushing her shopping trolley.

"You go to the cashier" replied Candra casually.

"Please calm Din. I paid for it" he continued when he saw the look on Adinda's face that looked objectionable.

"But I'm here with my husband Dra. So you don't have to pay for my groceries" Adinda refused. He was not happy to accept Candra's kindness.

"I just saw your husband eating both girls at the mall restaurant. I happened to be meeting with a client there. So why are you waiting for him. I paid for it" said Candra.

"You're not kidding me anymore, are you Dra?" Adinda squinted her eyes. It's not that easy Adinda believes in Candra's talk.

"If you don't believe me, we go there. All right to stop the worm demo in your stomach, but after I pay for all your groceries." Candra shoved Adinda's groceries to the cashier. Pay him then invite Adinda to prove his words.

Adinda followed Candra's steps while wondering in her heart. What is true Candra said or just the mode to invite her to lunch together.

The closer, the more nervous she looks. His feet entered the restaurant. Looking towards the table that Candra had pointed at and sure enough, her neutrals saw a scene that sliced through her heart.

"Devin!"
