LET ME BE HAPPY

LET ME BE HAPPY
chapter 41

Adinda POV

Gradually my condition improved, although the trauma was still there, but at least I was no longer silent in the room. Like this morning, I can have breakfast with my family. There was a father, an oma, and also an opa. If the mother is still there, it must feel complete this happiness.

The various dishes served on the dining table felt so tempting my taste. I don't know why lately I've been so greedy, ah not greedy anymore, but it can be said to be very greedy. My appetite is also very good. Even in the middle of the night I often sneak into the kitchen like a thief, only to obey the will of the worms in my stomach that continue to wriggle.

"More, honey?" ask oma when I see my plate is not left.

I nodded with a shy smile. How not, I'm the only one here who has a heavy breakfast, while father, oma, and opa only have a breakfast of sandwich that is still half left.

He said they had a family event at nine, so had to leave room for his dinner. I didn't come because my condition wasn't stable. So, let's execute the food at this table in the spirit of four five.

My stomach felt full after two portions of the porters moved into my stomach. Why would I say that? For I, who am but a people who are a people without a single activity that I do, have consumed two plates of food that is quite a lot.

"We go first, honey. You just take a break" said the father.

"If you need anything, don't hesitate to ask for help" said oma.

I just nodded in response to their message, just a quiet opa here. However, I knew that opa loved me so much. My betrothed face was halved with my mother as a teenager, making opa continue to feel guilty for being late to realize that her favorite daughter-in-law was suffering because of the actions of her wife.

After their departure, I also returned to pursue my activities as usual, what else if not lying down. My body also seems to be getting bigger. I have been in this house for almost two months and all my activities have been eating and sleeping.

Eits wait! What did I say just now? It's been two months. Oh my God. I reached for the phone lying next to the pillow I was wearing. I checked the calendar on my phone. I shook my head in disbelief.

"All right, calm down. Not necessarily everything is as I thought." I sighed and exhaled slowly to calm my mind a little.

Not wanting to just guess, I ordered an online motorcycle taxi to take me to the pharmacy. Although the day feels hot because it is almost twelve o'clock in the afternoon, but I can not use the services of online taxi because soon father, oma, and opa will go home. Surely they will lecture me because I am wandering when my condition has not fully recovered. Shame to ask the workers in this house to buy something personal.

"Non Adinda, where are you going?" tanya bi Ningsing, one of the Art in this house, when passing by me in the living room.

"I just want to take a short walk Bi. For a long time this body has not been exposed to street dust" I replied.

"Then Bibi called Tono first, Non, to prepare a car to accompany Non Adinda streets," bargained bi Ningsing.

"No need Bi, I just ride. This has been a message because I just briefly go around," I refused while showing my cellphone.

Bi Ningsing nodded and resumed her work of wiping the window glass. I stepped out because the online motorcycle I ordered was waiting by the side of the road.

The motor is traveling at medium speed. Thankfully I got on the ojek. Otherwise, it will definitely get stuck in traffic. Although the distance between the house and the pharmacy is very close, but the streets here are never empty.

About ten minutes, the motorbike stopped at the pharmacy parking lot. I go inside to buy something I need. After getting the things I wanted, I returned home with the same motorcycle taxi driver.

"This is the fare sir, thank you for the ride" I said as I handed the blue note to the taxi driver in front of me.

"This is a lot of Neng, the cost is only ten thousand Neng," refused the ojeker father while wanting to give back the money I had given.

"Take it back sir. It is not good to refuse sustenance." I pushed the hand of the father who was about to return my money.

"Aamiin's." I assure her of her prayer. It feels like that money is nothing compared to all the assets I have today, but it could mean a lot to others. Thank you Lord for all the favors you have given me.

"Thank you again, Neng. Then I say goodbye first. Mari Neng," said the father.

"Together, Sir. Be careful on the road" I replied.

I turned my body around after the taxi-father passed from before me. However, just as I was about to enter through the gate, someone clasped my hand tightly.

"Din!"

Deg

The familiar voice caught my ear. My heart is beating fast. Could it be him? I'll give myself a look back. My face paled as the person I did not want to meet was standing before me.

"Deliver!" I threw Devin's hand that was still holding mine. The touch made my body shiver. Scene after scene of the incident swirled in my mind. In the past, this face I always missed, but now it looks so terrible in my eyes.

"Din, I'm sorry" he said.

I walked backwards as he tried to reach my hand. There was a hint of pity at his miserable-looking state. However, I do not want the events that have destroyed my pride as a woman to repeat themselves. He has no rights over me anymore.

"Go!" my yelling.

I turned my back and ran as fast as I could. Really, this chest feels throbbing pain when someone I love has incised a wound at the bottom of the heart.

I don't care about the screams that keep calling my name. I rushed into my room and locked the door. I'm afraid he's gonna barge into this room and do his barbaric deeds again.

I put myself on the bed and covered my whole body with a blanket. I was scared, very scared. Unknowingly I was sleeping between my fears.

Tok tok tok tok

The sound of knocking on the door kept me awake from my deep sleep. Scroll clock on the nightstand was still one hour, that means only about half an hour I slept.

"Darling, wakeup. It's lunch time" Ima shouted from outside my room door.

"Yes a minute, Oma. Adin wants to pray first." I smiled happily at the attention I was giving me. Who would have thought, the person who used to be the most disliked by the mother, is now the person who loves his grandson who is none other than the son-in-law he never expected first.

I go to the bathroom to make ablution. Then carry out my duties as a Muslim. When I finished, I rushed down to the dinner table for lunch. Lunch this time I'm alone, because the others have finished eating at family events. Oma was already in her room to rest, while father and opa went straight to the office.

After eating I rushed to the security post to meet Mr. Agus, the security who had helped me to block Devin who was going to pursue me. I asked him not to tell me about Devin's arrival to the others. I don't want any more business with him. Fortunately Mr. Agus still has not reported the incident to the house person.

The next day, as usual, I woke up to the sound of Adzan shubuh reverberating. I rushed to the bathroom and brought with me the things I bought yesterday.

I closed my eyes as I waited for the reaction from that small rectangular flat object. I slowly opened my eyes after a minute had passed. Throw my tears when the two red lines are now clearly visible in a testpack that I hold.

"I'm-I'm pregnant."
