Adinda POV.
Drrtt.
Rectangular flattened objects that ring incessantly. I noticed a row of numbers on the phone screen that seemed familiar to me. I shifted the green phone handle icon so as not to just guess about the identity of the caller.
"Assalamualaikum," I cried as the call connected.
"Girisham, Din!" yelled at the person across there who kept me still.
Tok to tok.
There was a knock on the door that made me gasp. I turned off the phone without saying a word.
"Darling!" oma Fani exclaimed from the open doorway.
"Yuk, down. Your husband is already waiting downstairs," asked Oma Fani to me.
I tried to smile even though my heart was still beating when I remembered the phone call just now. Do not let this disappoint everyone, especially the man who has now been titled my husband.
Oma Fani took my hand. We walked down the stairs slowly. Seen down there gathered our little family. Not much was present, just the nuclear family of me and Ivan's brother.
Oma sat me down beside Ivan. Our eyes clashed. Brother Ivan smiled and stretched out his hand to me, I immediately grabbed him and kissed the back of his hand with reverence. Then he kissed me long enough.
"Geez, Brother. Not here why, continue in the room gih! Pity your sister who is still left by her husband outside the city service" chirped Indah, sister of Ivan.
"I'm sorry, late singles" said Ivan who made everyone laugh.
I lowered my face in shame. I could enjoy the scene until I forget the existence of the people around me.
After Ivan and I signed our wedding papers, we all enjoyed the meal that was prepared. I feel happy to be able to get together with family members in this happy atmosphere. Although I cannot deny there is discomfort in the corner of the heart.
"Why?" sis Ivan asked as I looked at myself just staring at the food on my plate.
"Eh, that's okay" I said, "Oma, which Vina is it, Oma?" ask me on oma Fani to avoid this awkwardness.
"You take it easy, honey. Just now Oma saw, Vina was still sleeping. Don't worry, Vina's safe with bi Eli. Moreover, ASIPnya stock is still a lot," replied oma Fani.
I smiled with relief knowing my daughter was not as fussy as usual. I deliberately did not use the services of a baby sitter to help take care of my baby. I want to be like a mother who takes care of and takes care of her child alone. Everyone here loved Vina very much.
"Yes, now the food is eaten yes, dear," said brother Ivan as he stroked my shoulder.
I looked surprised at Ivan. Did I hear wrong what he said? I think it's too soon. However, there is no way that the call between us is just a name considering that I am now his wife.
"Well, how come you're even dumb? Big brother bribe huh?" I shook my head quickly and immediately slowly bribed the food on my plate to the toilet.
"It's a drink." Brother Ivan thrust a glass of water at me.
"Thank you." I immediately sipped the drink given by Brother Ivan to the toilet.
Ivan's brother was seen grabbing a tissue and facing me. He helped me wipe my mouth and cheeks. Rabb, how sweet is the treatment. The little attention that makes this heart rustle happy.
"Sister, iihh. Keep showing!" lovely Chirps.
Immediately I withdrew. I looked down with a face that was embarrassed. I mourn the self that is lulled without seeing the situation and conditions.
"You are yes. Let me just why. Than to see them smite. If you see them getting along like this, Mama's heart becomes cool," sidelines aunt Rita.
"Handestine, Ma. Ah, it's beautiful to be kangen mas Yongki like this. Mas Yongki, come back quickly." Everyone seemed to be laughing happily.
"Darling, Mother's child." I smiled at my increasingly adorable daughter.
"Cicit Oma is done**** yes?" oma Fani asked from the direction of the open door of my room.
"Here you go, Oma," I replied, putting my puffed baby in his crib.
"Then, it's the same Oma. It's in Oma's room, baby," said Oma Fani, holding my baby.
"Well, why sleep in Oma's room?" my question is not to understand.
"What the hell are you? Have you forgotten that you are now a newlywed? Let Vina sleep with Oma. You make a lot of great-grandchildren, Oma" teased oma Fani as she stepped out with her laugh.
"Ishh, what the hell," I decak.
A cell phone lying on the nightstand. I pressed the power button to activate my phone. From this morning I accidentally left the phone in a dead state to avoid a call from Devin.
Drrtt.
Sure enough, when the phone is activated immediately there is an incoming call. I tried to hold back the rumble in my chest when I saw the same row of numbers that contacted me this morning.
"Assalamualaikum," I said as the call connected.
"Valaydaikumsalam, Din. Thank God, they finally got connected. I tried to call you back, but your phone's off" said Devin.
"My phone's running out of power" I said. I had to lie when I disabled my phone.
"Din, I'm sorry for all the wrongs I've done to you. Sorry if I haven't seen you in a long time. Not that I want to avoid or stay away. I have been in the country S all this time. I'm coming home next week, Din. I hope we can restart this relationship from the beginning" said Devin, who made my chest feel tight.
"Do you know where my number is, Dev?" ask me, even though I know the answer.
"From my mom, sorry," he regretted.
"Yes" I replied briefly.
"Din, are you still angry?" ask Devin.
"No," I answered.
"Thank God, I'm coming home next week. Wait for me to come back. We started everything from the beginning. I'll fix all the mistakes I've made on you" Devin said.
"It's late, Dev. I'm going to bed. Assalamualaikum." I turned off my phone without waiting for a response from Devin.
I pressed this chest that felt tight. Although there is still a feeling in the deepest corner of the heart. But my status now belongs to someone. I don't want to give her false hopes that will make her even more hurt. I'll wait for his arrival. Not to give him hope, but to explain everything.
Too busy with my thoughts, until I didn't realize that there was someone else in this room. The sturdy arm that suddenly coiled around my stomach made me gasp in shock.
"What's up, hem?" ask brother Ivan.
"Since when has Brother been here?" Instead of answering her question, I asked her back.
"From now on, daydream anyway," replied Ivan as he turned my body.
"From now on, don't ever cry again" she said, wiping away tears on my cheek.
Yes Rabb, I am really sad. Don't you think Ivan knows everything? What am I supposed to do now?
