LET ME BE HAPPY

LET ME BE HAPPY
chapter 67

A few days passed. There's nothing different. Everything is still the same as in previous days. Adinda had a day with her small family, while Devin returned to his usual activities.

But this morning it felt different. Adinda already looks beautiful in a dress she designed herself. Natural makeup, but does not reduce the level of beauty.

"My wife is so pretty" said Ivan. He approached Adinda who was scanning her appearance in front of a mirror. Hugged her from behind and inhaled the fragrance that came out from her halal woman.

"Thank you, my husband." The sister smiled at her husband.

"I'm sorry, honey, I can't drive" Ivan said.

"Yes, it's nothing. Your job is more important because it concerns the lives of others. Oh yeah, is it okay if Devin picks me up?" ask Adinda.

"Yes, my dear, but later after the operation is over, I will follow immediately" replied Ivan.

Today is the wedding day of one of Adinda's best friends, Sinta. Ivan could not take Adinda because there was already a schedule of operations that had become his responsibility. Be Devin who will pick up Adinda because today is the weekend. Every weekend Devin always took the time to visit his daughter.

"Thank you" said Adinda.

"Oh yeah, I'm leaving now, baby. Be careful, take good care of yourself. Give my regards to Vina's father." Ivan broke their arms.

My sister turned her body. Their eyes clashed. Ivan dipped bib*r Adinda at a glance. Had he not been in a hurry to go to the hospital, Ivan would not have wasted his chance.

"I deliver until the front," said Adinda. They went down with hands.

She stretched out her hand to her husband and kissed the back of his hand with reverence. Ivan kissed Adinda's forehead a glance before he left to go to the hospital.

"I'm leaving yeah, honey," said Ivan.

"Yes, be careful" replied Adinda.

Ivan got into his car. He waved to Adinda. The younger sister returned the hand of her husband. Slowly the car that Ivan was driving drove across the highway.

She was still standing in place until her husband's car went out of sight. She turned her body and stepped slowly. However, not until he reached the door did a luxury car enter his yard. She stopped her steps and turned back her body.

The luxury car stopped. Then the figure of a man who was so familiar to Adinda came down from the car. The man smiled and walked over to Adinda.

"Assalamualaikum, Din," said Devin when he arrived near Adinda.

"Waalaikumsalam, Dev," replied Adinda.

"Let's go in, Dev," Adinda said.

Adinda turned her body and stepped inside, while Devin was still silent where she stood. The aura of Adinda's beauty made her as if hypnotized. Devin was not even aware that Adinda was no longer in front of him.

"Where is Devin?" muttered Adinda when she realized that Devin was not following her.

The sister put her foot out again. Devin was still standing in his place. He came to Devin to bring him back in.

"Dev!" exclaim Adinda.

"Eh, i-iya Din." Devin immediately gasped in shock from his daydream.

"Ngapain is still here? Come in!" bring Adinda.

Devin scratched his non-itchy nape. Adinda's charms make her fail to focus. Devin exhaled softly to neutralize the pounding of his heart. Can Devin fight to bury his feelings to death? If just looking at Adinda alone has made her helpless.

Devin follows Adinda's steps towards the family room. Devin wanted to bring Adinda in his arms, but he had to be satisfied just by looking at the back of the woman he had once wasted.

"You're the same Vina first" he continued. Adinda pointed at Vina who was on the bench of oma Fani on the sofa. Then Adinda stepped towards her room after seeing Devin nod her head, while Devin himself stepped towards the place where his daughter was.

"Assalamualaikum, Oma," said Devin to Oma Fani who was sitting on the sofa while holding Vina.

"Waalaikumsalam," replied oma Fani.

Devin grabbed onto Oma Fani's hand and kissed the back of her hand in reverence. Oma Fani welcomes Devin. Indeed, in the past, Oma Fani did not like Devin because he had hurt his only grandchild. However, when Adinda explains everything, then ifa Fani will forgive Devin. Because after all, the Devin family is always there for Adinda and also her late daughter-in-law.

"Oma, can my Vina be fat?" devin Pinta.

"Of course." Oma Fani happily handed over Vina to be carried by her father.

Devin accepted it with pleasure. A week of not meeting his daughter made him really miss. Devin kissed the tiny baby cheeks that were getting fuller.

Shortly after, Adinda came down and approached Devin. Devin again handed Vina over to Oma Fani after seeing Adinda's arrival.

"Adin went straight to Oma, so it was not too late to go home. Adin titip Vina" said Adinda. He grabbed the hand of Oma Fani and kissed her.

"Devin said yes to Oma, too" said Devin. He did the same as Adinda did.

"Alright, you guys be careful" said oma Fani.

There was no conversation between the two during the trip. They both felt awkward to start the conversation.

In less than three hours, they have now reached the Sinta residence. Devin parked his car on the side of the road because Sinta's yard was used for the reception. After the car is parked perfectly, then Adinda went down and stepped into the reception place, while Devin remained waiting in his car.

"Adinda, you've finally come too" Alya said at the entrance.

"Yes, Al. Oh yeah, you been a long time?" ask Adinda.

"Just arrived, hehe, too" Alya replied with a grin.

"You are this." Adinda patted her friend's arm slowly.

"Eh Din, how come you're not with your husband anyway? Even with the same ex," pointed Alya at the car across the street. His soul began to thrash.

"Yes, my husband has an operation schedule, but later he will pick up," Adinda explained.

"Oh." Alya is just a ria.

"Yeah yuk, come in." Adinda took Alya's hand to the pelaminan.

"Congratulations, Sin. May it be a sad family, mawaddah, warohmah and hopefully lasting," said Adinda prayed.

"Thank you Din" replied Sinta.

Alya also did the same as Adinda. Then they came down to enjoy the dishes.

After more than an hour Adinda visited, she then resigned because she did not want to let Devin wait too long. Adinda reached into her phone and typed a message on her husband not to pick her up. Adinda is too focused on her phone to realize there is a car that is speeding towards her.

"Adinda, lookout!" exclaim Devin.

"Aakkhhh," cried Adinda.
