LET ME BE HAPPY

LET ME BE HAPPY
chapter 25

It has been three days Adinda was hospitalized and during that time Devin always faithfully accompanied her. His condition is starting to improve. In fact, this afternoon he was allowed to go home.

"I want to take care of the administration for a while Din," said Devin. Netraya looked at Adinda who was busy with her activities.

Adinda stopped her hand movements that were cleaning her personal belongings while in the hospital. He looked towards Devin who was looking at him. He smiled at the husband who had been willing to accompany and care for him with all his heart. In fact, Devin often ignores incoming calls from Liona, just to keep his feelings.

"Yes Dev" said Adinda. Then he went back to packing his things.

Just as Devin was coming out of Adinda's inpatient room, the door of the room was knocked by someone. The brother stopped his hand movements. Adinda looked at it briefly, then resumed her work that had paused.

"Who is it?" Adinda frowned in wonder. It's impossible if it's her husband. Because if it's Devin, he'll go straight in without knocking on the door first.

She turned to look at the door that was slowly opening. Candra was standing in the doorway with a big smile.

"Assalamualaikum Din," said Candra.

"Waalaikumsalam Dra" replied Adinda.

"Where is he?" ask Candra as she steps in closer to Adinda.

"Alhamdulillah Dra, I'm fine. In fact, I am now allowed to go home" replied Adinda as her hand pointed to the bag she just finished packing.

"Thank God, I'm sorry I just got a look. It's been busy" explained Candra.

"Yes, it's okay. Thank you Dra, you have taken the time to look at me" said Adinda, "Sit down Dra." Adinda stepped towards the sofa followed by Candra who was tailing behind her.

Adinda sat herself on the long sofa in the room, while Candra also sat herself on the same sofa next to Adinda, because there was only one long sofa.

Candra turns her head to the right and to the left. It seems he wants to know Devin's whereabouts. Because since he entered Adinda's hospital room, he had not met anyone but Adinda.

"Where's your husband Din?" ask Candra. The net is still busy scanning into every corner of the room.

"My husband? Oh, he's taking care of the administration" Adinda replied.

"Oh yes, I have something for you" said Candra as she reached into the pocket of her suit.

"What?" ask Adinda curious.

"Here you go, taraaaa. Sorry Din, I just brought this." Candra thrust a chocolate bar in her hand towards Adinda.

"Because I know, you prefer chocolate over flowers" he continued. Candra still clearly remembers what Adinda likes or doesn't.

"Thank you Dra." She smiled at Candra.

Shortly after, the door of the room opened. Devin stepped in with a sweet smile. However, a second later his smile faded when he saw Adinda sitting side by side with the man whose name had been blacklisted for Adinda to avoid.

"Din!" exclaim Devin.

"Yes, we can go home now" said Devin flatly. Devin snatched Adinda's bag that was loosened in the patient's cage and carried her out. For a moment he glanced sharply at Candra.

"Dra, I'm sorry, I'm saying goodbye first" Adinda told Candra. He felt bad for Candra.

"Yes, it's okay Din. Already there, follow your husband," cast Candra aside with a loud laugh.

"Thank you Dra, I'm sorry again. Then I go home first," said Adinda as she moved from her seat.

Gegas Adinda caught up with Devin who had already left her. Devin was waiting for him in front of the elevator. Adinda stepped closer to Devin.

Devin looked at Adinda who was walking hastily towards him. Devin feels guilty because of how Adinda's condition has just recovered. However, he also felt annoyed at Adinda for still giving Candra a gap to approach him. Though he had very firmly forbade Adinda to be close to other men, especially Candra. Is that as possessive as he is? However, Devin continues to avoid if his actions are said to be jealousy.

They entered the elevator together. There was no one in the elevator but the two of them. Adinda glanced at Devin, knowing that Devin was holding back her anger. It is better that he be silent because he does not want to argue, what else is his condition now still unstable.

Even in the car, they were both silent. No one starts talking during the trip. Devin drove his car at a moderate speed.

It did not feel like they had reached the basement of the apartment. Devin got down and turned around the car and opened the door for Adinda. Then automatically lock the car after making sure there is no one left behind. Devin stepped in with Adinda's bag that he was carrying in his hand, Adinda followed Devin's steps behind her. Adinda breathed a long breath. He doesn't like this awkwardness.

 ---

A few days passed Devin's attitude towards Adinda was still just as cold. Talk only as necessary. Adinda also felt accustomed to Devin's attitude that could change instantly.

Accustomed to doing activities, making Adinda feel bored just sitting in the apartment. He decided to visit the mother's grave. He hadn't visited since he was sick. Usually he will visit the mother's grave once a week.

As a good wife, Adinda must first ask permission from her husband if she wants to travel. Adinda repeatedly contacted Devin, but Devin never answered her call.

"Where the hell? Very busy times yes," murmured Adinda. He decided to send a message.

Then Adinda ordered a taxi online that would take her to the funeral. Shortly after, the taxi he ordered arrived. Adinda rushed into the taxi after making sure that the taxi was indeed the online taxi she booked.

Taxi slowly split the highway. My sister can't wait to meet her mother. Although now they are in a different dimension, but for Adinda everything is still the same. In fact, the longing that often comes to him will disappear if he visits the tomb of his beloved mother.

Soon the taxi he was driving slowly stopped at the cemetery. Adinda pays the taxi fare according to argo in the application.

Slowly his feet stepped into the cemetery after greeting. Adinda inhales the aroma of jasmine and frangipani that comes out from all directions. She smiled at every step of her foot.

"Who is he?" His feet stopped not far from the funeral.

Seen near the pusara of the mother, there is someone who is crouching while chanting dhikr and prayer. Although curious, but Adinda wait until the person is finished with her prayer.

He saw the man rubbing his hands on his face, indicating that he had finished praying. Only then did Adinda set her foot back near the grave of the mother.

"Sorry, who are you?"
