LET ME BE HAPPY

LET ME BE HAPPY
chapter 17

Although it feels tight but Adinda tried her hardest to stay strong. His status of being just a wife on paper made him unable to do anything about it. However, his heart still hurt when he saw the man who was her husband holding hands with other women while laughing happily. While he was forgotten.

He breathed in the air and exhaled slowly. Then Adinda stepped towards the place where Devin was, while Candra still faithfully followed him. Adinda did not think of Devin's attitude that can be said arbitrarily against him.

Devin was unaware of Adinda's presence due to her position turning her back to Adinda. Devin was still having a good chat with Liona. With Liona it felt like the world belonged to both.

"Devin!" adinda exclaims when right behind Devin's back.

Instantly Devin took off his hand with Liona. Devin turned his head and found Adinda now right in front of him. Devin moved from his seat. Her net was clashing with Adinda who was looking at her disappointedly.

"Oh my god, why can I forget the same sister," said Devin. He was worried that Adinda would misunderstand. Especially now that Devin is with Liona.

Devin turned to look towards the back of Adinda. His eyes squinted at the man who yesterday made his heart feel coarse.

"Why are you with her?" devin asked while pointing at Candra with a sharp look.

"I should have asked you Dev. What are you doing here with him?" Adinda throws back Devin's question with a finger pointing towards Liona.

"It's only natural that I'm here with Devin. Loe forgot who I was to Devin? Do I need to remind you?" timpal Liona with his cynical smile.

Adinda twists lazy eyeball. Without needing to explain again Adinda already knows who Liona is, all Adinda needs is an explanation Devin forgot her existence.

Devin clenched his hands tightly until his knuckles turned white. His jaw hardened seeing Adinda looking familiar with other men.

"Reply answer why Din? You're here with me and why now you're with him!" Devin raised the volume of his voice. I can't believe it's like seeing Adinda with other men.

"Had known I was here with you, but why am I staying. He said it was only for a moment, but in fact it was almost an hour," replied Adinda annoyed.

Devin scooped his face rough. Looking around, there seemed to be many pairs of eyes paying attention to their debates.

"Do you know what this is?" Adinda raised a crackle in her hand that contained her groceries.

"Shop a full trolley without holding a penny, what do you want to pay for? Good thing Candra came and paid for everything." Adinda pissed not playing. She should have been angry about waiting too long. This is why it's the opposite.

"Why don't you wait for me Din? Why ask her for help?" Devin tried to suppress his anger. Talking as normal as possible so as not to invite the attention of many people.

"I've been waiting for you for almost an hour Dev, but you haven't come back. How much longer do I have to wait for you Dev? Two hours, three hours or even all day?" adinda said annoyed.

It feels like Adinda really wants to eat people if this is the story. The worm in his stomach continued to thrash, but Devin was completely insensitive.

"It's not so Din, but I-"

Kruyuuukk....

"You heard it yourself, didn't you, Dev? Even the worms in my stomach have been protesting from earlier, while you here even enjoy food while bribing very friendly." My sister is of course embarrassed. However, more than that, his anger and disappointment were greater.

"Better we find another table Din. Keep ordering food." Candra opened her voice after remaining silent.

She turned her body around without a word. Followed the steps of Candra who was looking for an empty table for them to occupy. Adinda was very disappointed in Devin.

Devin was about to move in after Adinda, but was immediately restrained by Liona. Liona felt extremely satisfied to see the free spectacle directly before her eyes. However, Liona also had to be more vigilant. Because it seems like Devin is so attentive to Adinda.

"Sit here Dev. Why do you follow them? Are you jealous if Adinda walks with another guy?" ask Liona.

Urung Devin stepped up to approach Adinda. Devin took a long breath. Devin sits himself back in front of Liona. Let it be for now that he let Adinda calm down first.

"It's not so dear. I am not jealous of them at all. I only felt annoyed that Adinda was contradicting my words and dared to argue with me in front of others. I don't want this to happen until it's heard by my parents. They're going to be very disappointed and I don't want that to happen" Devin explained at length.

Actually, Devin also felt unsure whether he was jealous or not to see Adinda's closeness with other men, which he knew, he only felt very upset with Adinda.

"Good then." Liona smiled sweetly towards Devin. In his heart he cheered happily because Devin was so in love with him

Drrtt....

Liona reached into the phone in her bag. See the name of the sender of the message. Liona was a little surprised, but before long she normalized the look on her face. Liona doesn't want Devin to suspect anything. Open the message and start reading it. His smile came out instantly.

"Dev, I have to go. There's an important meeting." Liona put her phone back in the bag.

Devin just nodded with a smile. Actually Devin still wants to linger with Liona, but Devin also feels happy to leave Liona. Because it means, he can accompany Adinda freely.

He saw the back of Liona who had stepped away. After not being seen again, he turned to look at Adinda who seemed to have finished eating her food. Devin immediately approached Adinda.

"Have Din finished?" devin asked after he got to where Adinda was.

"Heem." Adinda just cleared her throat.

"We're going home now. Mama's waiting for us" said Devin.

"I'm sorry, my wife has to go home now. Please send us your account number. Later I transfer to reimburse the fee you have spent for my wife today." Devin doesn't want to owe Candra anything.

"Oh sorry, Bro. I'm sincere if it's for Adinda." Candra looked at Adinda with her sweet smile.

"Thank you Dra. Then I say goodbye first," said Adinda.

Seeing Devin's expression that seemed to be holding back anger, Adinda's hustle moved from her seat. Hold Devin's hand to leave immediately. My sister doesn't want any more debate.
