Evelyn had just cleansed her body after she finished exercising. She came out of the bathroom with a towel wrapped around her wet long hair.
He poured water into the glass and drowned it out just as the door of his room was knocked by the waiter.
"Come in." Evelyn's orders put the glass back on the nightstand.
A servant then entered and directly bowed his head, saluting Evelyn.
"Sorry to disturb you."
"What's wrong?" evelyn asked while ruining her hair with a dry towel.
"There's a guest waiting for you downstairs."
Evelyn furrowed her brows and turned to the servant. "Guests?"
"Yes, right lady."
"There's a guest for me. Early in the morning like this?"
"Yes, miss." The servant nodded as he looked at Evelyn confusedly. "Yes, miss. I asked her if there was an appointment with you, but she said she didn't need an appointment to see you."
Evelyn was getting confused. I don't think he had an appointment with anyone this morning. But whoever Evelyn is will still see her.
"Tell him to wait. I'll be down in five minutes. I need to dry my hair first."
"Well miss." The waiter nodded.
Moments later, Evelyn came out of her room. He is now down the stairs of his house that leads to the living room.
To be honest Evelyn was feeling a bit annoyed. His whole life no guest had ever come to see him this early. Obviously he was very disturbed because he also had his own routine in the morning like this.
"Who is the guest. Just disturb." Evelyn scolded while looking at someone who was in the living room of her house.
The guest who was a man seemed to be sitting leaning on the living room sofa while crossing his legs.
Evelyn stopped her steps down the stairs when she saw who the guests were. He who had been upset from the beginning seemed even more upset when he saw the man.
"…Daniel?"
At that moment the guest looked over.
It was indeed Daniel, Evelyn's best friend who currently seemed to grin, like without sin.
"Hi, Evelyn." said Daniel with a smile.
Eveeltn.
Lookit. The bodoh man can still smile without even knowing that he is interrupting Evelyn's time.
Without returning her best friend's smile, Evelyn resumed her steps down the stairs. He approached Daniel with his arms folded in front of his chest.
While Daniel was sitting, he stretched out his arms to hug Evelyn.
"What's this?" namel Evelyn brushed off Daniel's hand.
Daniel who understood the attitude of the girl was just a whimper. "What?" tanyakanya.
"What are you doing here?"
"Your house hasn't changed yet." Daniel looked at Evelyn's building.
Feeling her question ignored, Evelyn simply rolled her eyes lazily.
"I asked you Daniel. What business are you doing coming to my house this early?" evelyn asked curtly, the look on her face even looked unfriendly even though they were indeed close friends.
Daniel chuckled, "Hey, why are you so angry? It's still morning. Why does it seem like your head is hot. You pissed at something?"
"Ck, of course I'm upset. Do you know what time it is?"
Daniel smiled, ignoring the sharp words of his best friend. "It's seven past twenty" he replied.
"Want to?"
"Can I sit down again?" daniel sat himself down on the sofa. "This woman of yours feels more comfortable than mine at home."
Evelyn's eyes were squeaking sharply. Still staring at Daniel who was currently relaxing on the sofa.
"Well, I thought you could at least offer me a cup of coffee or warm tea, maybe" Daniel said.
"Ck, you think my house is a cafe?" evelyn said ketus, but still looks to signal the waiter to make a drink for Daniel. "So, what did you come here for?"
"Meet you. I miss you."
Evelyn snorted, "Don't joke, we just met last night."
"Indeed." replied Daniel shaking his shoulder casually. "I just want to see you again. What's the problem."
Evelyn sat on the sofa, looking at Daniel as if he had just done something strange. "You're a hobby of pleasantries, Daniel."
"Really, I did come to visit your house. I told you that, didn't I?"
"And you think I believe?"
Daniel chuckled again.
The young man then pointed at some of Evelyn's house servants who were busy cleaning the antiques. "Are they new servants, by the way?"
Evelyn looked at the servant that Daniel was referring to then nodded, "Yes, some of them are just working here"
"Well, your servant doesn't even know who I am."
"You haven't been here in a long time. Only the senior servants know you. Never mind, you better tell me the truth. Why did you come this morning? You need to borrow money from me, huh?"
"You think I'm a poor man?"
"Yes, therefore I am astonished. You said you came here just to greet me. Who would believe that shit. So, can you tell me what you want and get the hell out of my house."
"Is this how you treat guests?"
"You're not even a guest, Daniel." Evelyn shook her head in disbelief. "And also, didn't you say you wanted to greet me? You've met me, haven't you? Then you can leave now."
Daniel chuckled, "Why are you in such a hurry, anyway? My drink hasn't even been served. Your waiter is so slow."
"I was in a hurry." Evelyn pointed out the clock on her wrist, "I have to go to college soon. I need time to get ready and you've wasted my time coming here so early."
"If that's the case, you can go in to get ready and I'm waiting here!"
"You crazy?"
"Lumayan." Daniel chuckled, making Evelyn have to roll her eyes lazily.
The drink was finally brought in by the waiter, making Daniel smile and sipping the drink served by the waiter for him.
After downing his drink, Daniel glanced at Evelyn for a moment then put the glass he held back onto the table.
"So, did you drive him home last night?" ask Daniel.
Daniel's question was successful in making Evelyn frown confused?
"Give me who you mean?"
"Alvin. Who else is it?"
"Huh?"
"Don't pretend. Aren't you at your father's club until morning? You didn't get out of there, did you?"
Evelyn widened her eyes, looking at Daniel in surprise.
"You!" evelyn said, pointing at the face of her close friend. "Don't tell me you were tailing me last night."
Daniel sniffed his shoulders. "No. I'm not a less-worked person like you."
"Lying." Evelyn said.
"I'm not lying."
"Then how do you know I'm at the club until morning."
"So it's true?"
Silent.
Daniel didn't say anything more. The man seemed to be smiling faintly, looking straight at his best friend's face leisurely.
"So you're following me?" accuse Evelyn again.
"I told you, no."
"Then how do you know?"
"I didn't go home overnight. I went to my friend's house. And when I got home, I saw your car still parked in the nightclub area." Daniel explained.
This time Evelyn was silent.
"So it's true that you're at the club until morning. Are you waiting for him?"
"No."
"Want to."
"It's none of your business." Evelyn said then flicked her hand, "Here you go, I don't want to discuss this. Now I'm getting ready for college."
"Do you want me to take you?" bargain Daniel.
"Take me to college?"
"Yes." Yeah."
"You want to?" Evelyn looked at Daniel in disbelief. Since when was Daniel willing to take her anywhere.
"certain." Daniel shrugged his shoulders. "After all, didn't I offer just now?"
Evelyn nodded, "Then be well. I'll be ready now."
