With a rude gesture Evelyn pulled the bowl of chicken porridge in front of her while her eyes stared intently at Daniel who was circulating his gaze, looking at the people who were enjoying their food in the chicken porridge shop.
"You're serious, lunch here?" daniel looked in disbelief. He kept staring around as they arrived and sat in the chicken porridge shop.
Alvin himself is currently going beside the tavern to receive a call from his college friend.
"Where do you think we're going to eat?" evelyn glanced cynically.
Daniel did not answer. The young man still stared at the area around the tavern in surprise then stared at the chicken porridge bowl before him.
"You eat this food, Eve." asked Daniel again pointing at the bowl with his eyes and turned to look at Evelyn.
"Of course I eat." Evelyn said.
"You're serious?"
"Why are you asking?"
Daniel stared in disbelief at his best friend. "When did you eat food like this?"
"Since some time ago."
"How come, Eve? Let alone to eat, come to a place like this you never have."
Evelyn screeced. "Why do you have to ask so many questions, anyway? Don't you like the food? If you don't like it, you can just go." Evelyn said coldly.
Evelyn is still very upset with Daniel because the young man forced her to come with him and interrupted his lunch with Alvin.
Evelyn let out a lazy breath. Remembering that made his heart feel even more upset. Because of Daniel, he and Alvin failed to eat alone today.
Honestly, Evelyn is no longer as enthusiastic as when inviting Alvin on campus. Daniel's presence here is not at all something that can be celebrated. He's disturbing.
"Nobody asked you to come with me, right? You're the one who wants to. So, just go if you don't want to eat this food."
"Just... What?"
"Well, at first I thought you were going to eat at that restaurant." Daniel explained lazily.
Evelyn scoffed sarcastically, "If you want to eat at a restaurant, you can just go and eat there."
"You kicked me out?"
Evelyn nodded. "Yes!"
This time Daniel looked at Evelyn cyn. "Why did you keep kicking me out, anyway?"
"Well, 'cause you interrupted my lunch and Alvin, you know? You can just leave if you don't like it so no one else can bother us both"
Daniel shook his shoulders relaxed.
"Not that I don't like this. It's just that I'm a little foreign. Were you no stranger when you first got here?"
Evelyn was silent. To be honest, he also felt foreign when he first came here. He even felt strange when this chicken porridge entered his mouth for the first time. But he prefers to keep it a secret.
Daniel then shrugged his shoulders. "Yes, it's kind of surprising to me, but it's actually pretty exciting too."
"What?"
"Should I preach to Ziva too? He would be surprised to see you come to a place like this." Daniel muttered out his phone and made Evelyn immediately snort.
Seeing Daniel typing something on his phone Evelyn hurriedly pulled Daniel's phone away. "Stop pranking me, Daniel. I know you're teasing me."
Daniel chuckled, "Not teasing you, I just feel for once in a while like this should be in share, Eve."
