Alvin's eyes were round upon hearing Evelyn's question.

"W-what?"

"Are you interested in me or not?"

"Why do you ask that?"

"Well, I was just curious about that. I was wondering, why are you immediately willing to accompany me to lunch now?" Evelyn drew her face closer to Alvin.

Alvin retreated his body and lowered his head nervously. It felt half-deadly when stared at by a girl as beautiful as Evelyn at this close distance.

Evelyn smiled looking at Alvin who did not look shy from being stared at at close range.

"Well, I'm grateful that you're willing to accompany me. But I wonder what reason you accepted my invitation to lunch today."

"That's because the lady asked me directly. You seem intent on taking me. Besides, I happen to have time to accompany you as well. Of course I have no reason to refuse, right?"

Evelyn clucked. "That's not the answer I expected from you."

"Huh?"

Evelyn crossed her arms on the table looking like she wanted to have a serious talk with Alvin.

"Look, for someone who seems smart, you don't hesitate to go out with someone you've even known for a few days." Evelyn spoke her mind.

Alvin frowned. He did not understand what Evelyn was saying at this moment.

"I don't understand. What do you mean, Miss?" alvin was confused.

"So I mean, we've even met a few times. Then how could you easily come with me now. What reason. Do you trust me? Or are you interested in me?"

Evelyn's question was able to make Alvin blink his eyes and turn his gaze to the empty chicken porridge bowl before him. Instantly he became misbehaved because honestly, he did not know what to answer.

Suddenly, a reality hit Alvin hard.

Evelyn was right.

They just got to know each other, right? How could he like Evelyn like this? Who gave Alvin the right to feel attracted to the beautiful girl. If you think, he doesn't even have the right to like a girl as perfect as Evelyn.

"Yes, you are right. Actually, I just want to be polite on your call." replied Alvin as if.

Evelyn nodded. "yes too. As far as I know you, you're too polite."

Alvin frowned confusedly. Whether it was a compliment to Alvin or not.

"I was the one who forced you to have lunch with me earlier." Evelyn chuckled to herself.

"No problem, miss. Here, I am also the one who is willing to accompany you, right?!" Alvin said politely.

Yeah, Evelyn admitted that Alvin was too good. He realized how extraordinary the young man's heart was after seeing the incident where Alvin was humiliated by his former lover at the nightclub but he was not even angry at all.

Evelyn's nature is much different from that of the patient Alvin. Evelyn so imagined if one of her former lovers dared to humble herself like that Evelyn would not be able to accept it. He would definitely finish him off right then and there.

According to Evelyn, Alvin's ex-lover must get the right reply for his bad behavior.

Ah, didn't that stupid girl get her reward that night?

Do not forget that Evelyn has secretly helped avenge the actions of Alvin's ex-lover by pouring drinks on him.

"Actually I know why you didn't refuse my lunch and just agreed."

"Yes?" Alvin smiled confusedly.

"Of course it's because I'm beautiful and rich, right?" evelyn said proudly.

Alvin. He was a little surprised when he heard that confident sentence coming out of Evelyn's mouth.

"That's why, isn't it?"

"h-huh?"

Alvin did not dare to answer. To be honest, what Evelyn said was true. Evelyn is beautiful and rich.

It's fact.

No one can deny that.

"It seems to me, it's true that's the reason. You didn't reject my invitation because I'm beautiful and rich. So there's no way that I want to cheat let alone mess with you. You trusted me. Yeah, right?" evelyn said at length.

Alvin nodded awkwardly, "Less so. Besides, we had also met a few days before, right? At least we know each other."

Evelyn just smiled at Alvin's behavior which she thought was very funny.

"But listen! If the one who took you away was someone else. Besides me. Then you can't just take it for granted. That's very dangerous. You tau? So don't trust strangers as you do right now, let alone women."

"Why is that, miss?"

"You'll be doomed to meet another woman." whispered Evelyn. Evelyn does not want Alvin to meet a female crocodile. Like his friends who are male predatory female crocodiles.

"That's how it looks, all right, miss. I'll be more careful next time." Alvin just nodded.

To be honest, Alvin also did not know what to answer because after all in fact all this time he always believed in others. And so far no one has ever done anything bad to him.

While Evelyn was secretly smiling proudly to herself. This was his plan from the beginning. Befriend Alvin, then vilify other women. That's because he doesn't want Alvin to be close to any girl. Evelyn plans to keep Alvin away from the girls who will try to tease him.

For him, this is the only way. There is no other way to get close to Alvin without being distracted by the seductive girls.

"Are we done?" evelyn asked Alvin moments later.

"Ah, i-yes." Alvin nodded then got up when he saw the girl rise.

Alvin frowned when he saw Evelyn stepping towards the owner of the stall.

"Wait a minute, miss! Miss want what?"

Evelyn turned her head and lifted her purse, showing it to Alvin. "You pay. Especially her?"

"No, miss. I'll pay." said Alvin stepped up after Evelyn but it was too late because the girl had already paid.

"Father just take the change" Evelyn said kindly to the owner of the porridge stall after giving a piece of money a hundred thousand.

"I paid for it. Okay, let's go!" take Evelyn while reaching into her bag looking for car keys, ignoring Alvin who is still gawking while holding his wallet.
