"Monika" said the girl with a small smile.

Alvin frowned, "Sorry?"

The girl looked at Alvin for a few seconds before sighing and stepping closer to Alvin. He brought his face closer to Alvin's ear and whispered

"I'm Monika. So I want you to call me Monika" the girl explained.

Alvin nodded in understanding. "Good."

"You mind if I ask you to close the door?" monika pointed at the door behind Alvin with her chin.

"Ah, no miss. I don't mind."

"Please close the door!" monika's orders again. "I don't want people passing by and looking. Well, you know, it's a matter of privacy."

"All right, miss."

Alvin nodded then quickly closed the door behind him. He then turned back, looking at Monika, waiting for the order that might be given again by the girl.

"I came alone today. It turned out to be very boring. So I'm looking for a friend. And I think I'd like to have a chat with you." Monika spoke while smiling sideways.

Alvin was surprised.

How not to be surprised when someone suddenly says they want to talk to you? That's weird, isn't it? Ah, or is it just a regular thing here?

"What do you want?" ask Alvin to make sure.

"Chat. Chatting you. Both of us, you and me." insisted the girl. "Are my words unclear to you?"

"Ah, no. But I-"

"I used to do it with the waiter here. I'll even tip if they're willing to accompany me for a chat." said the girl cut off Alvin's words

"There's a tip?"

"Hm."

"For a chat?" Alvin seemed interested as Monika uttered a 'tip'.

Alvin began to take Monika's remarks seriously. How not, at this time he is in need of extra money to pay the cost of living a day.

Previously, Alvin did know if there were any tips while working here. He also gets a lot of tips from Evelyn and her friends that Alvin already uses to pay his semester bills.

Several times Alvin also got tips from other visitors.

"By the way you haven't introduced yourself." said Monika breaking Alvin's daydream.

"I'm Alvin, miss." replied Alvin a little awkwardly.

Monika then stepped towards the sofa that was in the middle of the room. He dropped his bag on the table and sat himself on the couch.

Monika crossed her arms in front of her chest, while her eyes watched Alvin from head to toe.

"Come here!" monika orders again while patting the sofa next to her.

Alvin did not directly obey what Monika told him. He looked at the girl with doubt. Why do we have to talk at such close distances?

Monika watched Alvin who was standing still. He raised his eyebrows, astonished by the handsome young man's behavior.

"Alvin." cried Monika.

"Yes, Miss?" Alvin stuttered.

"But miss, I-I"

"Alvin, I brought you here to be my conversation partner, not the doorman. Come here!"

Alvin was silent again. The young man seemed to be wondering what decision he would make. He did not know why, his heart hesitated in this room.

"Come on Alvin, I'm getting tired of telling you. I'm just asking you to sit next to me. So, can't we just waste our time and enjoy our time here?"

Alvin stood restlessly in his position. He tried to control his facial expression before then nodding his head with an awkward smile.

"Well, miss." she started to step closer to Monika.

Alvin sits himself next to Monika. He sat up straight, making Monika chuckle.

Isn't this young man funny. He was posing like he was going to take pictures for an identity card.

"Hey, why do you look so stiff. Come closer!" Monika smiled then pulled Alvin's arm, forcing the young man to sit closer to her, right next to her.

Alvin smiled awkwardly. The place Monika was referring to was too close. More like a stick. How could he agree to that?

"I'm here, miss." Alvin refused in the end.

Monika looked wryly. "Didn't you like being close to me?"

"I just. I'm not used to being alone with such a close distance."

"Is that so?" Monika rewinded her face, her eyebrows slightly furrowed, looking surprised by the young man's confession. "Why really? Have you never dated before?"

"Earlier. Of course I have."

"Want to?"

"Yes, but we're not boyfriends. That's obviously disrespectful. And also I've never been alone at this close distance."

"Wow, are you serious?" Monika's eyebrows seemed to be shrinking. He laughed amusedly. Information like this was even more shocking to him. "What about the kiss?"

Hearing the word kiss, both cheeks Alvin suddenly heated up. He has only ever done that to one person.

Evely.

Only Evelyn's kiss could remember her entire life.

Alvin hurriedly shook his head, I don't know what he meant, nor did he understand himself. Why does he only remember Evelyn?

"Never?" guess Monika.

Alvin smiled a little. What does he have to answer? There's no way Alvin would confess the kiss Evelyn gave him, right?

For Alvin, kissing is actually something you should do with the person you like. That's what Alvin thought.

Monika remained silent for a few seconds before then staring at Alvin.

"Do you want to know what it's like to kiss?" whispered Monika with her naughty face.

"Huh?" Alvin seemed to furrow his brows, puzzled by the question.
