Dave stared at the girl's departure with a confused look and then turned to Alvin who was still staring at the paperbag in his hand.
"What's wrong with that girl. Why did he leave when I came?" oceh Dave, a little offended by the girl's attitude.
Dave turned his head back to Alvin and looked at his silent-looking best friend. He patted Alvin on the shoulder.
"What's this?" ask Dave curious. "Did I miss something exciting here?"
Alvin looked up, looked at Dave and then shook his shoulders relaxed.
"Nothing is exciting. He just came to give me this and left." said Alvin lifting the parcel in his hand.
Dave's view goes down on the paperbag in Alvin's hands.
"What's that?" tanyakanya.
"So, I haven't seen either" said Alvin, opening the parcel and looking inside. Alvin then took the goods out of the paperbag which turned out to contain a small box. He furrowed his brows as he looked at the small box in his hand. "This, not…"
"That's a watch."
"true."
Dave hurriedly grabbed the box and noticed the small box.
"It's a well-known brand and I'm sure it must be very expensive." Dave then looked at Alvin with a questioning look. "For what the girl gave you such an expensive item."
Alvin shakes. "I don't know."
Dave looked at Alvin fixedly, his forehead wrinkled. He wondered how Alvin didn't know why anyone would give him a gift. And no kidding, it's expensive stuff, as far as Dave knows.
"Do you know that girl?"
"No, I don't know."
Dave stared in disbelief, "You're sure, Alvin. It's an expensive watch, you know? How can someone who doesn't even know you be willing to give you this."
"I'm not lying. I don't know who he is, Dave."
"You sure?"
"A hundred percent."
Dave returns the box to Alvin in surprise. "Isn't this weird."
"What's so weird?"
"I mean, if it wasn't expensive, I wouldn't be suspicious."
"No, no, this is definitely not a prank gift, Vin. I told you earlier. It's an expensive gift. No one will give a gift worth millions of dollars just for fun. I think he was going to give it to you in the first place."
"What do you mean?"
Dave looked at Alvin.
"He likes you."
"Huh?"
"I'm pretty sure he'll like you. That's why he gave you this gift."
"Ck, who likes who."
"You just think about it. Why would an unknown girl give you a present?" dave said, but he immediately chuckled at him. "Yes, but I shouldn't have been surprised in the first place, huh. You are Alvin. The girls can even buy you a yacht."
"What are you talking about. You're overreacting, Dave. Stop saying nonsense things like this. Don't keep talking."
"I'm not making it up" Dave smiled. He couldn't help but laugh when he saw Alvin's face. That young man was indeed easily embarrassed when tempted like this.
"What I said is true. Here I am talking about reality. You used to get gifts from girls, right? You can even get rich just by accepting their gifts." Dave said. "But everyone stopped giving you gifts when Karina was angry. Ah, I think you might get a lot of expensive stuff from girls if you're not dating Karina."
Alvin's face suddenly changed when Dave began to discuss his ex-lover.
"Why are you even talking about Karina?"
"Didn't Karina always forbid you from receiving things from girls. She jealous. He even forbade you from talking to girls because he didn't want any of them to tease you."
"What should I talk about now?"
"Should! I'm-i'm"
"Don't piss me off, Dave!"
Seeing Alvin who put on a serious look, Dave just grinned. "Yes, yes."
Alvin shook his head, inexhaustible with the attitude of his best friend. At times like this he can still talk about Karina.
"There is no need to talk about things that have passed. Instead of you talking all the more we better stop this conversation and I'll just leave" Alvin said as he pushed through the library door, intending to go back in and leave Dave alone
"Where are you going?" Dave held his best friend's shoulder.
"Library." replied Alvin pointing to the library. "There's a book I should be looking for there for next week's assignment."
