"Your phone's been ringing ever since" said Ziva, who saw Evelyn not answering the phone after several rings.

They are currently enjoying dinner together. Like Evelyn promised Ziva that she would accompany him to dinner.

"This is from my father" Evelyn said after reading the name on her phone screen.

Evelyn then put her phone back on the table lazily.

Ziva looked at his best friend with a look of wonder. "Then why not lift it?"

"Just later."

"Hey, why is that?" ask Ziva. He looked at Evelyn suspiciously and placed his spoon on the plate. "What's the problem?"

"Nothing."

"You think I believe?"

Evelyn looked at Ziva, took a breath and exhaled slowly.

"My dad always talked about matchmaking when he called me" Evelyn explained.

Ziva almost choked on his food. "Your father will match you?"

"Yes. That's why I didn't want to pick up the phone from him first. I'm kind of sick of that conversation."

"Who?"

"Huh?"

"Who's he gonna set you up with?"

"Of course." Evelyn shook her shoulders indifferently. "But to be honest this is starting to bother me. He kept offering this and that kind of man to me."

Ziva looked at Evelyn. "There must be a reason he wanted to match you at this young age."

"There are many reasons to look for."

"Maybe that's one of the reasons because you're out late."

Evelyn screeced. "I've been doing that since I was seventeen. That's not a problem for my father."

"Totally so." Ziva mangosteen. "But that guy could be the right choice to be your husband, right?"

"How do you know?"

"Because of your father's own choice. There's no way she's going to get you a guy, is she?"

Evelyn laughed in wonder. "Of course, I don't like being organized with whom I'm going to live my life."

Ziva's lips are thin. He knew that no one would be able to manage his best friend in life.

"What are you saying. My father is not that kind of person. He won't take care of my personal affairs."

"Then is the matchmaking not a personal matter?"

Evelyn remained silent.

"Listen Eve, your father was silent when you were free all this time. But your father is just like any other parent. He didn't want to see his son too free to play with men."

Evelyn's face hardened.

To be honest, it's not a matter of getting married young. He is over twenty years old. He's an adult.

After all, getting married young will not affect anything in his life. No man would dare to forbid him from doing this or that.

But he still could not imagine marrying someone who was not his choice. It's his father's choice. And that made him dislike this plan.

Ever since she was a child, Evelyn has been used to choosing her life path. And he wants to stay that way. He will decide his own future.

"Given your nature, I'm sure your father must have tried very hard to find a good man for you" Ziva chuckled.

Evelyn just shook her head.

"You're as good as my father's chosen man. I still wouldn't believe it if someone else was looking for me. I have my own type of man, okay."

"What kind of man do you want to be your husband?"

Evelyn remained silent. Think carefully about the answer to that question. The man he wanted to be his life partner? It seems like only one person he wants.

Evelyn smiled.

"I have a better candidate to marry for my own choice. I'm going to marry her soon. I'll introduce him to my father before he even brings his chosen man."

Ziva raised his eyebrows. "Ck, what are you saying? Do you have a boyfriend? Who are you gonna marry?"

"I'm going to marry Alvin."

Ziva felt his ears would fall when he heard the idea of his best friend.

"What?"

Evelyn smiled.

"I'll think about it later. For now I will bring myself closer to Alvin first." Evelyn murmured.

Ziva gawking. For her, Evelyn's choice this time was her own suicide plan. Evelyn's dad wouldn't agree with Alvin, would he?"
