Alvin was scooping the food in the bowl in front of him and putting it in his mouth. And just then he heard Dave in front of him hissing and suddenly slamming his tablespoon on the table.
"Ah!al! I'm so upset." said Dave, clenching his hand and smashing it into the dining table.
Alvin just glanced at Dave but didn't answer anything. More precisely, I don't want to answer anything.
"Aren't you upset to see that, Vin?" said Dave with a tinge.
No answer from Alvin.
"Currently, I think that annoying girl must have done it on purpose. I'm sure that he wants to make your heart hot and jealous." Dave spoke again as he glanced at the table next to him.
Alvin who is currently still focused on enjoying the food in front of him just turned his head briefly in the direction that Dave meant. He just looked at his ex-girlfriend with a calm look.
Meanwhile, near their table is Karina who is currently engrossed in making out with a man Alvin still remembers clearly named Steve. The man was a senior student at their campus who encouraged him at the time. And he was the same man who had already become Karina's mistress.
"They look really shitty." Dave grumbled as he grumbled. "You're really not upset?"
"I feel fine." said Alvin calmly as he resumed his meal.
Alvin and Dave are currently enjoying their lunch in the campus cafeteria. At first they eat quietly until Karina comes with her lover and spoils the atmosphere.
The girl even deliberately chose to sit at one of the tables near the table where Alvin ate. And instead of eating, Karina had been making out near them to make Alvin jealous.
But Alvin himself since then just looks not concerned at all with the presence of the girl. Alvin just does not want to lose his appetite by thinking about the two lovebirds that are near them.
Seeing Alvin's composure, Dave just gawked and rancid. "How can you be this relaxed when you see your ex making out with another man right in front of your eyes. I just really wanted to splash this orange juice on their faces." said Dave raised his glass of juice with a look of annoyance.
"Just drink your juice, Dave." said Alvin calmly, then took the juice from Dave's hand and put it back on the table. "And if you get upset when you see them, it's not necessary to look, it's easy."
"How can I not see them. The sound of their laughter even sounded very loud here." Dave scolded.
"Would you like to wear my earphones?" alvin's bargain makes Dave gawk in disbelief.
"Look! You don't even feel upset or angry." said Dave then took back the spoon he had slammed earlier. He then pulled the plate closer and scooped and bribed the food into his mouth in an annoyed motion.
"I no longer have the right to be angry with him. He is no one to me now. There's no point in it anyway if we do that" Alvin said, scooping his food back into his mouth.
"Yes, but what I'm saying here is you guys didn't break up a while ago?"
"Really, then?"
"Then you said, huh? Then?" Dave looked at Alvin with a look of disbelief. He did not expect that Alvin was really relaxed in responding to this.
"Alvin, this is a problem for you." Dave insists.
"All right, tell me, where's the problem, Dave?"
"This is definitely a problem for you, Alvin. You guys just broke up, right? But look at this! How can Karina find your replacement even in such a fast time." Dave said with an annoyed expression on his face.
"Karina is beautiful, Dave. So it was certain that he could find my replacement quickly. That's a natural thing." said Alvin calmly. No one knew that there was actually pain in Alvin's chest when he said that line.
Dave just sneered and leaned closer to Alvin. Both of his eyes narrowed, staring at Alvin with a probing gaze. "I know there's something strange here. Karina cheated on you. It's clear."
Alvin smiled wryly while scooping his food. "We're here to eat. So quickly finish our food and get out of here."
Dave snarled and immediately fixed his sitting position and returned to scooping his food into his mouth.
"But Alvin... aren't you planning to find a replacement for Karina as well?"
Hearing that question, Alvin's eating motion instantly came to a halt. Alvin was silent for a while before finally answering.
"I haven't thought about it" replied Alvin.
"Yet?"
"Yes,"
"Why not?" Dave asked curiously.
"only hasn't. I really haven't thought about it."
"You should think about it, Alvin. You should show that crazy girl that you can be happy without her." Dave said, glancing at Karina again and slamming her spoon back.
Hearing Dave's words just now, Alvin looked down. He stared at the food in front of him in silence. The next second Alvin could only smile.
One thing Dave doesn't know, Alvin hasn't even thought about 'finding a new lover after Karina'.
To be honest, Alvin still chose to focus on recovering his heartache. Yeah, he shouldn't have to think about anything about women right now. Karina's actions had inflicted such a deep wound on her heart.
And the problem of 'seeking a replacement', Alvin even felt insecure to find a new lover again after Karina. Moreover, what Karina had told him back then was still ringing in her head. The moment Karina told me she was so poor to be her lover. Indirectly it undermines Alvin's self-esteem and also makes Alvin's confidence disappear just like that.
Alvin sighed softly, trying to calm himself down. "Let's be like this first, Dave. Right now I just want to live a normal life. Alone" said Alvin.
Dave could see how hurt his best friend was. Although Dave does not know exactly what happened between Alvin and his ex but one thing he can conclude. Karina must have done something so painful to Alvin.
"Yes, okay. I understand." said Dave.
But even so, whatever is your decision and also your choice later I will definitely still support you." said Dave smiled as he patted Alvin's shoulder.
"Yes, so that means from now on you don't have to get upset if you see her making out with another man. Because I'm even fine with everything he does." Alvin smiled.
Dave just rolled his eyes lazily.
"Even so I still want to flush the face of that unlucky girl@n with this juice" he continued, raising his drink.
