"We've arrived" Karina said, stopping her car at the campus parking lot.

"Yes, thank you for the ride" said Alvin hurriedly opened his car but was detained by Karina.

"I can take you home later in the afternoon" Karina said.

Alvin jerked Karina's hand, "I thank you. But I guess I'll just go with Dave."

After that, Alvin and Karina get off the car belonging to Karina. Alvin could see many students looking towards them with astonished gazes.

Alvin understands.

Everyone knows that Alvin and Karina broke up a while ago. That's why they must be surprised to see their togetherness. But Alvin has no obligation to clarify anything to them.

And just then, Alvin saw Steve who was initially chatting with some friends near the parking area, also looking at them.

Ah, not them, more precisely Steve was staring at him with his sharp gaze.

"Steve must have misunderstood." muttered Alvin turned his face the other way, not wanting to see the man.

Steve must think he's teasing Karina right now. The young man always misunderstood him.

Alvin could see Steve rising up from his position and quickly stepped up, closing in on Karina.

Karina smiled, "Hi, Steve."

"Why did you come along with this bodhoo youth?" steve said he was embracing Karina's shoulder.

Karina looked at Steve and then turned again to Alvin who was standing with his head lowered, the young man looked awkward in his position.

"I have to go. Thank you for the ride." said Alvin quickly stepping his feet away from the place.

Given that some time ago Steve also asked him to stay away from Karina, making him not want to deal longer with large-bodied men like Steve.

Steve heard Alvin's words but he just kept quiet while raising his eyebrows. Steve didn't seem to want to respond after hearing Alvin speak. He doesn't care about that now. He was more interested in seeing Karina's face.

His girlfriend was just silent while staring at Alvin's departure. And to be honest, Karina's gaze made Steve's heart burn with jealousy.

Karina herself was still staring at Alvin's departure in silence. The girl did not seem to hear the question Steve asked her a moment ago.

Steve sighed, trying to control his current emotions. Though honestly his heart was so hot.

"Darling?"

"Why not answer?"

"Answer what?" Karina looked at Steve with a confused look.

"I've been talking to you since, haven't you heard my question?"

Karina rubbed her face, "Geez, sorry, honey. I wasn't focused."

Steve smiled smirkingly. He knew the reason Karina was so out of focus with him was because she was Alvin. It's really annoying for Steve, seeing his girlfriend still has a taste for his ex-girlfriend.

"I asked, why did Alvin come to campus with you?"

"Ah that problem. I, I mean Alvin, the motorcycle tyre was leaking, so I-"

"You gave him a ride, did you?" guess Steve.

Karina nodded her head slowly.

"Yes, that kind of thing." Karina then turned to Steve, staring unwell at her lover. "I just want to help him. You don't matter, do you, honey?"

Steve was silent for a moment. The young man stared at Alvin's back sharply. His hands seemed to be clenching strongly.

As he remembered yesterday he had told Alvin to stay away from Karina, whatever the reason. Nor does he care whether anyone approaches first.

"Darling?" call Karina to realize Steve won't answer.

"Yes?"

"You don't matter, do you?"

"Oh, yeah. Sure do. I have no problem at all." said Steve smiling. "But don't you hate him?"

"I just realized I don't hate him at all. I even regretted doing that to her."

"Is that so?"

"Yes, I think I also need to apologize to her for my mistake" Karina smiled.

Steve smiled back. But without Karina realizing it, the smile on Steve's face turned into an annoyed look.
