The Curse of Love

The Curse of Love
Part 24 The Unexpected Arrival

Three months is not a short time. I continue to patiently wait.

That afternoon my three friends who were also neighbors first, came to visit my contract.

"She...How are you now?" Wati, Tini and Tuti held me in tears.

"We've heard your news, but to come here we have to wait for one and the other to get together first."

"Tuti is still in Surabaya at his father-in-law's house, so Wati is still in Jakarta taking care of his grandfather's legacy."

"Why is this your fate now, my friend?"

The most unyielding Wati sees my situation. The roof of the house is leaking with wooden walls that are rather drunk.

"Where are my three little spikes?" Ask Tuti.

"Dina's still in school. Juned and Syifa are playing with their friends, I said."

"Since Della's brother came and sold the mother's house, Sofwan and I also Dina had to move from one contract to another."

"Your brother's path is Nia."

"Having been gone a long time without news, Kamsiah's mother died she wasn't there, came-coming carrying a home certificate and sold it."

"Tuti is completely self-destructive and heartless, "the curse of Tuti.

"Actually you are siblings or not? why are your two different natures?"

"You are Wati, you are siblings, but you don't know where the evil and greedy nature goes from."

"So far from Nia, how did the story go until Sofwan bang became like this?"

"You sit down first, let me make you a drink."

"Eh yes...You don't have to bother..awhile!"

Tini got out of the house and got in the car."

"Dead..please help me dong..this weight..."

Wati rushed out of the house. They came in to bring me some groceries, a box of drinks and a snack for my kids.

"The three of you are so bothered. I feel bad" I said.

"Don't feel sorry for us Nia.we were friends since childhood, whatever your suffering we felt."

I can't bear to hold back my sobs from hearing Wati's words. While Tuti and Tini no longer spoke, holding back their cries.

"You've also rarely contacted us, if we hadn't called you."

"Every time we ask you how you're doing, you always answer that you're okay."

"I don't know for sure since when Sofwan was, because from getting married to Juned's pregnant, she's still fine."

"Does bang Sofwan have a history of mental disorders?"

"I don't know exactly Tin, because during our 5-year marriage, I didn't see any symptoms."

"Just after I became pregnant with Syifa, my husband started to change."

"You remember when I told you about Sofwan being a hit-and-run victim?"

"Yes, said my three friends compact."

"It was lucky that time it was just stuck, but the fatal head of Sofwan mas hit a rock on the sidewalk."

"That time there was a torn wound on top of an old wound on the back of his head."

"The doctor said at that time, there was an old scar stitch in the exact place where the head hit Sofwan mas."

"When I mentioned the scar, Sofwan didn't remember it at all."

"Just after that, he's been getting a lot of headaches."

"It lasted about a month until the wound on the back of his head was completely dry and healed."

"The pain in his head is no longer attacking, it's just that if there is a small thing that provokes his emotions, then his anger can be multiplied."

"You remind me I told you my hair on Sofwan's pot?"

"So I also told him that my neck had been strangled, when he was upset I scolded Dina?"

"We don't accept our best friend being treated like that." Wati growled in annoyance.

"Where is Sofwan's bang in the care, Nia?"

"That's Tin's problem, I can't reach his family at all."

"I'm also afraid of being driven out by his family, if I stay determined to go there."

"It is your fate, Nia, as if fate is ravaging your life, said Tuti."

"I never blame my destiny, Ti! All is arranged by the Almighty."

"We humans can only try and pray, the rest of God determines."

"Perhaps behind the ordeal that befell me, there are lessons I can take later."

"Remain assured that God will never give a trial that his servant cannot face."

"You are right Nia, God gave you trials because God loves you, one day God will avenge something better, so long as you sincerely live your destiny."

"I will be strong friends even more so there are three little angels with me."

"Those whom I have to guard and protect are the source of my strength."

"Thank you you guys are always with me, when it's like and sad, always support me."

I hugged the three of them full of joy and gratitude. It was a joy to have three best friends as good as them, and grateful there were still good friends who supported me as my own brother and my husband's family removed me from their lives.

"It's getting late, the three of us know you have to work again, we say yes Nia."

"Don't hesitate to contact us, "remember, our relationship is only limited to friends, but the blood of our friendship is thicker than siblings even."

"O yes Nia, I almost forgot to deliver the message."

"Wati reached into her jacket pocket and pulled out two envelopes."

"It's my mother's care for your son, if this one's from the three of us."

Without waiting for my approval, he had already slipped an envelope into my hand.

"I'm becoming more and more unwell with you, the impact of me and my children is just troublesome."

"If you feel bad, just love the cat, first and second to us, you're not a hassle."

After they came home, then my two little larons came to ask for money to buy snacks

"Do not buy snacks, Juned...This is a snack of the same drink from his friends mamak.

"Assyik.sorak both happy.

I watched my two children enjoy their food. Then I opened my hand which contained two envelopes from them.

I opened the envelope from Wati's parents first. It was about five hundred thousand rupiah and I opened the other envelope, it was about a million.

"Allah Allah, O Allah, for the fortune you have given us today, an unexpected windfall has come from my three friends."

"Mumak mamak much.." said Syifa while chewing the cake, where can it come from?

My youngest child is fluent in speaking and penetrating his words, in contrast to Juned who sometimes still did not clearly say something.

"So from Aunt Wati, Aunt Tuti and Aunt Tini, they were here but Syifa and Juned were playing."

The arrival of the three of them was unexpected, after all this time we did not communicate with each other.

I prefer to step back and stay away, because I feel inferior and ashamed of them.

I thought they would also stay away from me just like the others who always looked one eye at us.

Especially every afternoon my clothes full of mud splashes batter making red brick. Sometimes they pretend not to see.

Miris indeed, in the midst of economic difficulties and domestic tempests, we are like wasted. Without relatives to help, I crawled trying to get up from my slump.

Thank God God for sending good people to me. Like my friends.
