114.removing impurities

"Now to remove the dirt, put your hand on my hand and I will help you get rid of it" the old man ordered as he sat down in front of Adam and stretched out his palm.

Adam sat down and placed his hand on the palm of his master.

Closing his eyes, Adam focused on his energy as he felt his master pour energy into his body. However, that energy was not absorbed or stored in Adam's body and it was still under his master's control as he controlled the strands of energy that he was flowing into Adam's body.

Using that strand of energy, he went to several areas around Adam's body and would stop all the impurities and use the strands of energy to slowly pull the impurities out of Adam's body and expel them through his pores.

Adam who witnessed the subtle control his master had over his own Internal Energy and his ability to remove impurities, was shocked and amazed, was, but he can clearly see that it takes a lot of mental strength to do it and it still takes him 10 minutes to remove a bit of dirt.

The area where his master removed the dirt from removed some black dirt from Adam's pores which had a foul odor and Adam recognized it as the dirt he observed inside his aunt's body.

"Yes sir, but before I go to remove the dirt, at least can you tell me your name?" ask Adam who wants to know anything about his master.

"Alright, my name is Julius and you can call me lord Julius" replied his master.

He doesn't seem to be lying about his name, but Adam isn't sure if he's telling the truth and it's a common first name, so there was no point for him when trying to find out about his master's past and who he was.

With that, though, he knew there would be no shortcuts to remove the impurities within his body and he was glad he did not consume that many pills in their entirety and he did not rely on pills to recover most of the time.

Realizing that it is only able to remove impurities with its Internal Energy, Adam wondered if External Cultivators would be able to remove impurities with their External Energies or if there was another way for them to do so because External Energies could not be used like Inner Energies.

However, from what his master said, his master, impurities can also be removed through training and practice and External Cultivators most likely have a method to push their bodies past their limits to remove impurities over time.

Adam thought that it would be easier to remove impurities through the use of his Internal Energy than training, just like the External Cultivators had to do, had to do, because it would be faster and would not require him to experience physical pain through training. 

However, he soon realized that, that was not the case.

Adam started by circulating his Internal Energy throughout his body, following the energy pathways around his body that passed through all the meridians that were around his body. The cycle starts from his dantian and surrounds his body in the same way as the blood cycle starts from the heart. 

After he circulated his energy throughout his body several times and after getting used to it, Adam tried to control a small amount of his energy at a time.

He struggled to do so and his head started to ache a little as he focused his mind on his Internal Energy, trying to control it in the same way as he had seen his master do.

It took a while, but he managed to separate the small strands of energy as he saw his master do and was then able to proceed to the next step.

His internal energy was much denser than his master's energy, but he tried to do as he saw his master do, and controlled the small energy, taking it to a place where he could sense impurities.

His master only removed about 5% of the impurities in Adam's body and he had even more left to remove, but his master would always leave the things he wanted to teach Adam to know and understand for himself.

It would not only test Adam's abilities and perceptions, but would also make Adam more accustomed and skilled in their use after learning it himself.

After controlling his energy to where he found the impurities, Adam tried to push it slowly out of his body using energy, so that he could release it through his pores, just as he had seen his master do.

However, he realized it was not as easy and simple as his master made it and it would take a lot of time and practice before he could do it.

[If my master, who used to have unknown powers and has a lot of experience and knowledge he gained during his long life, takes 10 minutes to remove 5% of the impurities, he said, it will take me weeks to get rid of all the dirt] Adam thought to himself as he struggled to move the dirt in the slightest.

Adam felt his mind ache a little as he focused entirely on trying to remove the dirt and constantly repeated what he saw his master doing to remove the dirt earlier, however, he was unwilling to give up and kept trying to remove the impurities with his Inner Energy.

It took him an hour before he found a way to lock his energy into the impurities, then after he managed to take out a small amount of impurities with his Internal Energy, he had to push it out of his body through his pores.

Adam had studied the Energy Arm Technique and it was very helpful in the process as he had gotten used to controlling his Internal Energy and pushing it out of his body to form the Energy Arm.

Adam was not sure how long it would take him to be able to remove all the impurities in his body, but Adam did not stop until he had erased everything and would only stop the process of using the Ethereal Recovery Skill to recover it. His internal energy and relax his tense mind.

It took a full 3 days to complete the process and Adam was enveloped in a black mucus-like substance that had a very thick odor and was the result of the low-quality pills being consumed.

"You've finished in 3 days, pretty good. It usually takes a few weeks for someone at your cultivation level to remove impurities, but it seems that you even excel at Internal Energy control" said his master who was amazed by all the things Adam did.

Adam was a little surprised that his master knew right away when he was done, but compared to everything else his master was capable of, it was expected of an extraordinary, yet strange individual.

"Yes my master is done, but I really need to shower and change new clothes, so I have to go back to my house" Adam said.
