The man before Adam was so unusual that it was shocking.
He is a gang leader and leads a group of rustic and rowdy thugs, all for their own benefit, while he is a devout and honest monk who only focuses on his own improvement.
He looked young and he looked like he was in his early twenties, but the way he acted was very strange and ancient, as if he was an old man from ancient China.
But Adam made use of the man's unusual temperament to his advantage, and as soon as the monk threw away his staff, Adam quickly attacked him.
But what surprised Adam was that despite the surprise attack, the monk was able to block his fists with his arms and body firmly.
Adam injured his fist while hitting the monk, and jumped backwards, making a distance between him and the monk.
[It must be a skill or the effect of his cultivation method, which allowed him to harden his body. Or he might have another way of hardening his body] Adam thought to himself.
"You attacked me before I was ready. What a despicable way of fighting" said the monk calmly.
"How old are you?" adam asked as he dashed towards him and launched the same fist as he did when he tried to sneak attack him.
"Ha, your attack won't work no matter how many times you try" the monk sneered as he prepared to block his fist.
But just as Adam was about to punch the monk, he suddenly crouched down and grabbed the monk's leg.
The monk stood in a sturdy horse position and his body would not be damaged by Adam's extremely thin fist, so Adam changed his battle plan.
Sweeping his legs from underneath, the monk fell backwards with great force as his back hit the ground.
Such a fall would instantly cripple ordinary people and might even cause them to suffer permanent damage, but the monk stood up because it was nothing because Adam made a distance between himself and the monk.
"You're fast and good at fighting. But you can't hurt my body" said the monk while cleaning his clothes.
Adam could clearly see and feel that the monk's energy was not beyond rank 1, but the defense of his body was incredible and it was as if he was a wall.
[I wonder how tall his defensive stat is] wondered at Adam on himself.
It was impossible for him to withstand bullets, but his body was many times harder than an ordinary person, even if his strength for a cultivator was only average.
Adam tried many tactics to take the monk down, but none of them worked and the monk did not appear to have suffered any damage.
"What do we do from here," asked Adam after attacking the monk for a few minutes, as they were deadlocked.
There were several weapons in the room, but they were all blunt weapons and Adam did not think it would increase his battle power, so he had nothing he could use against the monk.
"You are a worthy opponent and have pushed my hard form to its limit" the man said as he tripped over one knee.
In that one sentence, he had revealed that he was in a weakened state and was unable to maintain the hardened form any longer.
"You have two choices. Die and I'll take your way. Or submit to me and be my subordinate" Adam bargained.
Adam has an instinctive feeling that the strange man, who behaves like a monk, has tremendous potential, and his hardening ability is proof of that.
The man suddenly bowed to Adam.
"With this I humbly accept you as my master and will follow all your commands and do as you command" said the monk.
It's almost too good to be true.
[Whether I dream, or whether this system has anything to do with this] Adam thought to himself.
Adam comes to learn that nothing in life is free and easy, but what he has just experienced goes against the idea.
"Okay, get up, let's get out of here" Adam said as he pulled him up.
Adam had previously heard the siren approaching the area he was in, and it was most likely for him.
The monk was depleted and struggled to make a move, as Adam massively underestimated the weak state the monk was in.
While pulling the monk over his shoulder, he began to look for a way out.
"There. There is a private staircase leading to the back door of the building, from where we can go" the monk said as he raised his weak arm to point to a small door in a corner of the room that looked like a closet. .
Without thinking about it, Adam rushed towards the door and went inside to find a small ancient staircase made for emergency use.
Just as he closed the door behind him, he heard the steps on the stairs rising to the top floor and the voice of a woman.
"Stop, this is NYPD. Raise your hand" Angela shouted as she walked upstairs to find it empty.
Looking around, there were signs of people being there, but he had gone through the only entrance and there was no other possible way for someone to escape.
He could not help but shout in frustration after reaching the top and not finding anyone there after rushing up all the stairs.
All the guards stepped aside after seeing his gun and badge, and did not look for trouble as they all dispersed from the scene.
Most of them had no allegiance to the gang, and unlike Guild Leader Wolf Fang, the monk was also unconcerned with the gang because the men only followed after seeing its strength, in the hopes of being rich.
Meanwhile, Adam was coming down the small, narrow stairs with a small smile.
He had been very lucky all day and had not only evaded the police, but had managed to get many people to agree to meet at Elizabeth's chosen location and had gained powerful subordinates.
[It looks like I've finally seen stat points for above average luck in action. And I am the luckiest person after obtaining the Underground Prison System] Adam thought to himself happily, saying, as he asked the system a question to pass the time while descending the narrow dark staircase.
[The system for why the lucky stat and charisma were not displayed when I saw the status of a being with evil intentions or a beast in the basement] asked Adam.
{That's because the savage beast in the basement doesn't have the charisma or lucky stat to be seen by the host, and for the host to see it for humans, the host must open the Status Peering Feature to be able to see the full status of all humans} answered the system.
Adam already knew that it would be expensive and he had no chance to buy it, so he did not even ask for more information when he finally reached the bottom of the stairs.
He was also quite tired after a long day of work, and he only wanted to rest before he had to return to the dungeon.
At the base of the stairs, there was a door that had never been used since the building was built, and after being kicked many times, Adam was finally able to break it.
Adam took the bald monk rushing towards where he left Elizabeth, as he instructed the monk to hide his face as much as possible.
Despite the strange gaze he received, Adam ran as fast as his feet took him and finally reached the area where Elizabeth was waiting for him and when she saw him approaching, she could not help but scream in frustration.
Adam constantly causes trouble wherever he goes, and becomes more of a responsibility than an ally.
But he could see that his worth had helped him massively throughout the day, and swore to himself that he would repay him.
"Did you miss me?" adam asked cynically as he pushed the great monk into the car and got in next to him.
"Who is this" Elizabeth screamed as she was clamped in the back of a car by a large bald man wearing a traditional robe.
Adam shrugged, as the driver drove towards the next location.
While Adam and Elizabeth quarreled, the monk slept between them and the driver quickly drove to the location they had prepared to clean and removed evidence including the car.
Everything went almost perfectly despite the slight disturbance, and Adam was very lucky.
