79. Hospital director

Adam without much thought came back out of the window and held the pipe, but he did not go down and wanted to hear who was coming into the office.

"What do you mean one of the comatose patients suddenly woke up out of nowhere" the hospital director exclaimed as he opened his study door.

"Come in and tell me everything that happened" he told the nurse who told him what had happened.

He wanted to argue back because his work hours had been completed, but he had heard about the hospital director being ruthless and being able to fire him, as well as what he had said.

They entered the office and she sat at her desk as the nurse sat on the chair opposite her.

"It's quite cold here" the hospital director said as he stood to close the window.

"I don't remember opening this many windows" the director murmured to himself.

Instantly Adam was worried he would be seen, but fortunately the director closed the window without looking outside, where he would see Adam hanging in a pipe near his window.

[Damn] thought Adam to himself as he put his ear as close as possible to the window and tried to hear.

They spoke quite loudly and Adam with his high Intelligence status, who also increased his senses, could still hear them speak.

"The woman who had been in a coma ward for over 2 years, Jannet Green, was on the verge of death as her body collapsed. But when her adopted son visited her, she suddenly woke up and was completely healthy with nothing wrong with him" she said.

"Did you see what happened before he woke up from his coma" the hospital director asked.

"His adopted son asked us to leave and we did, then he suddenly ran out and told us he was awake" the nurse replied.

"That's unusual, but it's good he can recover. You can take a day off and also a day off tomorrow. You've worked hard" the director's permission.

"Thank you very much" she thanked him respectfully as she left the director's office.

'The rumors about him being rude and tyrannical must be wrong' the nurse thought to herself as she left.

Adam had not heard anything proving his suspicions, but once the nurse left, the director's attitude changed completely.

"Dam. This could get me into a lot of trouble with the boss and I had to tell him immediately that one of the coma patients was awake" the director told himself angrily.

As soon as he hears that, Adam is interested in seeing who his boss is and discovers that the idea that his aunt will be comatose by the hospital for him to pay medical bills, is becoming increasingly likely.

The director turned the phone around and started talking on the phone to someone unknown to Adam, who could not hear well to hear the person talking on the phone.

"Boss there are hiccups in our cycle that trigger a coma. Usually, after 2 and a half years until at most 3 years, the patient dies and we find a new patient to fill the coma ward, but this time one of the patients manages to wake up" told him the director.

[This bastard and his boss were the cause of all my misery and wasted 3 years not only my aunt's life but mine's life] Adam thought to himself.

Adam neither asked nor deserved any hardship and even when he was young was a good soul, yet wherever he went, he was reminded of how cruel the world was.

"Yes, I will look at his identity and his family and if they find out anything or are a threat to our organization, I will get them killed" the director said.

The conversation with his boss lasted for a minute and the whole time he was respectful, while Adam who was listening from outside his window was filled with anger.

[I'm not sure if he's a cultivator or not. But he said 'I'll get them killed' instead of 'I'll kill them', so I can take it for granted] Adam thought to himself as he debated whether to kill him now or not.

Adam's anger and desire to kill defeated his prudence and without thinking of the consequences, Adam broke the window with his fist and jumped into the office.

Before the director could shout or react, Adam covered his mouth forcefully with his hand.

"You bastard bastard. You dare to play with innocent lives as if they were worthless. Tell me who your boss is" interrogated Adam, wanted to find out about the boss before killing the hospital director.

The director shook his head and refused to answer, but Adam could not help but smile.

"You're going to die today. But it can be quick and painless. Or slow and painful, painful" Adam said.

Grabbing the pen from the director's desk, Adam stuck it at the director's feet, and with the immense force Adam exerted behind the attack, he thrust the pen into his feet.

The director tried to scream for help and wailed in pain, but Adam closed his mouth and kept pressing the pen.

"Will you answer my question or not?" ask Adam.

Clenching his teeth to endure the pain, the director feared for his life and knew he would die at any cost.

If he revealed who was the boss, he would be killed and if not, he would be tortured.

He decides that if he is going to die, he will take his boss with him and ease his pain, but he doesn't know much about his boss.

"He was the owner of this hospital and criminal organizations and had many illegal activities through the hospital for human trafficking and organ sales. But I don't know his name or the name of his organization" the director said.

Adam recorded everything the director said and after continuously stabbing his leg, he believed that the director had nothing else to offer.

After getting all the information he got from the director, Adam could not help but laugh.

"Do you really think I'm going to let you go?" adam asked rhetorically as he laughed out loud.
