"Cole, are you a cultivator" asked Adam.

"No, I'm too lazy to do that and I don't know how either" Cole replied indifferently.

"So, how do you know so much" asked Adam, trying to gauge anything about Cole's identity.

"Every person who has any influence in this city knows about cultivation including everyone in this auction. That's why gang boss Wolf Fang is so dangerous and that's why I warned you to avoid conflict with his son because he should be almost like that. Rank 2 or maybe even have reached Rank 2" Cole replied, telling Adam about the state of the city, but also avoiding his questions.

Cole, despite describing the wolf fangs as a powerful gang, seemed to care for them in the slightest, leaving Adam wondering what those powerful cultivators were like.

"Can I be a cultivator?" adam asked, wanting to see if Cole had the ability to make him a cultivator if he wanted to become a cultivator.

"You can become a cultivator, but you need methods and resources to do so, which unfortunately I don't have" Cole replied honestly.

Adam pretends to be pouting and a little disappointed, not wanting to show Cole that he is already pursuing strength in his own unique way.

Adam could feel an interest in the items being sold, as he felt clumps of unexplained entities within, but none of them were anything of value in his eyes.

All the names he heard had bought an item were recorded by Adam and each of them came from all kinds of organizations he had never heard of.

Using Cole, who has knowledge of the forces in New York, Adam gains a rough idea of who they each are.

But none of them are as terrifying to him as the Maxwell Family who are literally everywhere in Brooklyn and amass wealth in the billions.

However, it was not their wealth that frightened him, but the idea that they had so much influence and power and what they were capable of with their wealth that frightened Adam.

The auction lasted another 2 hours, while hundreds of millions had been spent, but before it was finished there was the final exhibition saved until the end.

"I know this is what most of you have been waiting for and why most of you took the time to come here, so it's time for the final item" the woman announced.

"This is a sword formed by the master craftsman Angelo and has an enhanced effect on the body. He combined many precious materials and inserted runes into them which gave an enhancing effect to the user, and Angelo took weeks to find the resources and make them" the woman described, as she usually did, as she did, provide a brief description of the items purchased in a glass box surrounded by 5 large men.

"I'm sorry for the precaution, but this is what Angelo and us as Silver Moon Auction Houses should do as the seller requests to ensure product safety" the woman said.

Observing the silver blade that had a light blue color and was shaped like a sword with a black handle, Adam was not surprised by its power and was instead disappointed by what he saw.

The others at the auction were all amazed at the sword and observed it, wanting to buy it, but in Adam's eyes, it wasn't anything special.
