75.aunt dying

Without realizing it, Adam had gone through almost two days without food or water and it was a positive side effect of the Ethereal Recovery Skill, allowing his body to sustain itself with energy without the need for food.

But even though he did not need food to support his body, Adam remained hungry and enjoyed eating.

When he returned to reality, he could not ignore the hunger he felt, which he did not even notice all day, and felt a tight cramp in his empty stomach.

[I'm going to have a big meal with my aunt and I don't mind spending the gold on it] broke up Adam as he felt pain in his stomach yelling at him to eat something.

When he woke up, he saw from the sun that it was morning and his master was still sleeping.

[Should I wake him up or not] thought Adam inwardly as he carefully approached his sleeping master.

"What do you want, son," asked his master, who felt him approaching.

"My master wants to ask for a day off" Adam asked respectfully.

"If you want to go, you can. But I need a legitimate reason and need to know when you will return. I cannot dedicate my precious time to teaching a student, who does not want to do the same" the old man replied.

His answer made sense, and Adam was glad he was recognized as a disciple, even though he had not been fully accepted as a disciple.

"I had to go to my aunt in the hospital who was supposed to wake up today and I wanted to be there to hug her and spend the day with her" Adam said.

Adam begins to explain to his master the way he lives and is honest about many things, but changes his story a little.

He made it so that he discovered the cultivation method he had learned himself and did not mention anything about his system, but was honest about everything else.

"You mean telling me that in a week you can get as much power as you have" exclaimed the old man surprised by what Adam had told him.

"Yes" said Adam.

Looking at Adam's calm red eyes, he could tell that Adam was telling the truth, but he was more curious to see what method Adam had found and where he had found it.

"I'm sorry sir but I can't reveal it to you and have shown that I trust you by revealing it to you this much" Adam honestly replied.

Adam had lied enough and wanted to be honest with his master, and he had done it as much as he could, but he could not reveal anything related to that system.

"We all have our own secrets, but what I'm looking for is loyalty" his master said.

"You can go for a few days, but when you come back, you can bring a lot of food with you. I haven't eaten properly for decades. And also anything from this modern age that might interest me" the old man asserted.

"Yes, sir" received Adam as he turned to leave.

"A proud child, I will teach you to respect your senior when you return" the old man murmured as he returned to a sleep-like state.

Adam wore torn clothes that smelled of blood and sweat all around him, and knew that next time he needed to bring a set of clothes and food with him, when he was training with his master in the dojo.

He also needs to figure out a way that he can get away and home from the dojo quickly and easily, without needing to rely on anyone else to get him there.

[A motorcycle would be a good way to get to the dojo and also allow me to carry clothes and food in the storage compartment] Adam thought.

"I'll get one from Elizabeth, because I have to keep my gold, just in case I need to transfer it to the system points" decided Adam.

"But for now I have to go back to the city, which is about 40 miles away, on foot" Adam muttered to himself regretfully,

To get to the mountainous area where he is, which is only passed by pedestrians or those who look around, Adam had to travel almost 60 miles by taxi.

Fortunately by offering him almost all the money left over from what he borrowed from Cole, the taxi driver took him to his destination.

"There is no point regretting my choice now and the longer I wait, the longer my aunt stays in a vegetative state" Adam said as he began to run at a steady pace towards the city.

It was an hour and a half before he saw the city, but fortunately he saw a large truck passing by and managed to sneak back and hitch a ride into the city.

Adam no longer cared about people's opinions, and after finding out about cultivation, ordinary people did not seem to affect him in the slightest.

Checking his phone, Adam sees many missed calls from Cole and while in a remote mountainous area where his master's dojo is hidden, Adam has no signal.

Calling Cole's number, Adam was curious to see why he called her.

"Hello," Adam said on the phone as Cole picked him up.

"Where are you and wherever are you" Cole exclaimed.

"Something's wrong at the hospital. Your aunt's on the verge of death" told her Cole.

While Adam was training, Cole asked Sarah about where Adam's aunt was and found out about the hospital where he was staying.

However, when he went to visit her, her face was drained and her heartbeat slowed down.

"They said he didn't have much time left"
