6. New start

"What the hell is this" cried Adam as he jumped from the trash bag he was sleeping in.

Seeing where he was, he realized that he had returned to the real world and heaved a sigh of relief that he was still alive, but the memories being devoured alive were still left in his mind.

Slapping his own face and biting his tongue, he flooded his mind with pain to forget everything.

"The weird dream I had, there was a system, and I was transferred to another place and then I fought goblins and got gold and then I." he muttered before stopping, remembering how it ended.

Waking up, Adam felt his body full of energy and in much better condition than usual.

Adam used to have a thin body that was malnourished, but had a small stomach because he could never exercise and could only eat food as cheaply as possible.

But now, while moving her hands along her arms and stomach, she felt even more muscular and fat than before.

"Maybe it wasn't a dream" he told himself in amazement.

"But if it's not a dream, then it's really happening." he murmured.

The incident reoccurred in his mind as he felt his stomach churn, and a small amount of food in his body flowed upwards towards his mouth as he began to vomit.

Residents walking through the alley saw the young man in torn clothes, vomiting in the alley, shaking his head and having a look of disgust as they assumed he was a drunken homeless man.

Adam spewed out all the food in his body.

His head was throbbing as he stumbled backwards and fell to the ground.

The moment this was announced in his mind, he felt a surge of power in his mind and he also felt that everything had become clearer.

He felt that he could now think faster and clearer and felt that all his previous emotions and traumas that were weighing on his mind, no longer seemed to have any effect on him.

Adam felt like a burden had been lifted from his chest, but also felt insensitive, and it was as if he was no longer affected by anything.

"The system just spoke to me so everything was real" he realized.

When he heard this, he immediately understood and felt that everything in his mind was clearer and he no longer felt as if what had happened to him had a huge impact.

The young man with long black hair and an innocent and calm expression, walked out of the alley.

It was now 10am and the streets of Brooklyn were bustling and filled with people, while Adam weaved among the crowd who received dirty gazes due to his torn and smelly clothes.

Adam did not care about others and was more curious to know if everything that happened with the Underground Prison System was real.

[My system wants to turn all 670 of my gold coins into dollars] he said in his mind, hoping he could get some money.

Adam is happy and excited, but his Hunter mind keeps his emotions from affecting his mental state, and he wants to check at the ATM because he doesn't have a phone.

Looking at the 6720 dollars in his account, he gave a small smile.

Looking at himself Adam saw that he was wearing torn and dirty clothes, and now with an incredible system, where he could get thousands in his sleep, money was no longer a problem for him.

Looking around the busy streets of Brooklyn, he spotted the now-popular Maxwell Sportswear store owned by the billionaire Maxwell Family, but she could never shop from there because she always had to spend all her money on the rent and medical bills of aunts.

The store he saw looked new and very attractive to Adam who finally had enough money to buy himself comfortable clothes.

Crossing the street at the intersection, Adam walked into the store and as he was about to find clothes, the bald man's security guard stood in front of him blocking his way.

The high security guard wearing an all-black suit looked at the skinny young man with long black hair and old clothes that were torn and smelly.

"Leave the store immediately, only customers are allowed in and you obviously can't afford it" the man said aggressively.

Hearing and seeing this hovering above the guard's head, Adam was startled and realized that it made sense that even people had statistics.

Comparing him to his own, Adam had the advantage in speed and intelligence, but in terms of strength and HP, he lost.

"What do you see, get out before getting beaten up" the guard shouted to see the dirty young man staring at his head.

His loud voice caused a commotion and made a small crowd form.

Adam Hunter's mind that increased his fighting and survival instincts, and increased his thinking speed, allowed him to remain calm in every situation.

He did not care about the people watching and was ready to fight if necessary.

"I'm a customer so can you get away from me" Adam said with a calm expression, but a flash of anger in his eyes.

Adam throughout his life was always trampled and persecuted because of his poverty and low status because he always tried to help his Aunt.

Now with the Underground Prison System, he was unwilling to let his pride be trampled.

[This is my new beginning, I will not let me or my Aunt be trampled or mistreated again], he said as he glared at the guards.

"If you don't want to leave willingly, I should kick you out" the guard said with an arrogant expression, showing the crowd watching.
