"I agree, I will be your master" decided the man.

"But I have some conditions" he added.

“I am willing to accept any terms as long as I am able to keep those terms” accepts Adam willingly.

"First of all this location and I as your master cannot be disclosed. Secondly, whatever I have taught, you cannot be taught to others without my permission and it should not be used frivolously. Third, you must ask my permission beforehand. Join any group or organization and you must always be honest with me and treat me with respect and loyalty" the man said.

Adam is shocked, his terms are easily met and it seems like he really has no intention of getting anything from Adam and just wants to secure his own safety and loyalty in the future.

"I agree to all the terms and swear full allegiance to you as my master" Adam said, bowing respectfully.

Although it was a strange act in modern times, Adam really wanted to honor the man before him and wanted to show his loyalty to him.

"Well it looks like you're real and very different from the others. It might not be too bad to take a student after being alone for so long" the man murmured to himself with a faint smile.

Gripping Adam's arm firmly, Adam felt as if he was naked under his grip and as if all of his secrets were revealed as he instinctively tried to break free from his grip.

{Ding, foreign energy has entered and scanned host} body warned his system.

"So you're only a Novice ranked 1 but can display abilities that rival those of a Novice ranked 3 and also it seems you train your body and chi, which is what you are good at, or as you said to me External and Internal cultivation" observed the man.

Adam was surprised but at the same time did not care too much and if he wanted his master to believe him, he had to trust his master.

Although it was no doubt to Adam that the system and the dungeon would remain secret.

"Yes it's true" Adam said.

"No wonder I feel you're unique, but for your age you're still too weak to be called talented" the man said instantly.

Adam did not dispute his statement, and decided not to reveal to him that he had just started gaining strength in just one week.

"When we start" asked Adam, eager to gain strength and see what the man was capable of teaching him.

"He, you think I can teach you what it is" the man sneered.

"You have to be willing to work hard and push yourself past your limits, otherwise there's no point in me teaching you" he said staring deep into Adam's current brown eyes.

"I am more than willing to do whatever it takes to gain strength" Adam said with a burning spirit in his eyes.

"good. We'll start with the simple. You will run up and down the mountain until the sun goes down nonstop" disconnect the master.

"But this is just past noon and there will be at least another 7 hours until sunset" Adam lamented.

Before he could even block or react, he was suddenly kicked in the stomach.

"That's a light kick and I'll hit you a little if you don't do what I say" the fat man said with an amused smile.

"Oh yeah, I forgot to mention the last condition. If you don't live up to my expectations, I'll have to push you with a punch and if you continue to not live up to my expectations, I'll have no choice but to kill you" the man added. as Adam stood up and set his breath.

A light kick from his master had rolled him up and it took him a few minutes to recover, but even though his master was being tough on him, Adam did not hold a grudge.

Instead he valued discipleship and swore to himself to make the most of his teacher's teachings.

[She would probably kill me if I did not live up to her expectations and her heart grew cold towards others after the students betrayed her. So I had to show him enough progress, but make sure not to reveal too much or anything related to the system. May I somehow be someone she truly loves, otherwise her half-hearted teachings will only take me so far] Adam thought to himself.

"Master, I appreciate the discipline and will immediately begin the task you have assigned for me" thanked Adam respectfully as he left the dojo to begin his master's duty after he recovered his breath.

Adam without wasting any more time started running through the trees surrounding the rural dojo and started running uphill and up the mountain behind the dojo.

"Maybe fate has been kind to me and given me the torchbearer before my light goes out" the man muttered to himself as he staggered to the corner of the dojo and lay on the ground.

He never expected himself to break the one oath he made to never accept a disciple or disciple, but he inevitably accepted Adam as some sort of half disciple.

His instinct tells him that Adam is special and unique and that his destiny is strong, and he is also impressed with Adam's respect, humility, and composure, but he is not yet fully convinced of Adam's talent.

"I guess I can bet on teaching him and if it kills me, I can't complain because I'm the one who's gonna make the same mistake twice after only defending for the first time" the old man said to himself as he relaxed and waited for Adam's return.
