"So what is this formal event for?" adam asked as the elevator came down.

"Ah, this is just an auction that a lot of people will follow, and my father wants me to go to keep up appearances and meet others who can benefit me in the future" Cole replied indifferently.

From Cole's description, it was the worst kind of event that might be filled by arrogant and wealthy people who would upset Adam and look down on him for the way he dressed.

He begins to regret agreeing to go with Cole.

"Don't worry, it won't be long and no one will dare look down on you if you are under my protection" Cole reassured arrogantly, seeing Adam's sullen state.

Adam had no money to spend on the auction and was not a person of high status or popularity, so had no reason to be at the auction.

One thing that intrigued Adam, though, was Cole's real identity that we weren't sure of.

He knew that Cole's father was a busy businessman, but had never seen Cole show off much wealth, even though he didn't really care about money in their youth, implying that he might have access to a lot of wealth if he wanted to.

[System, how do I see his status] asked Adam in his mind.

[But what] screams Adam in his mind.

Hearing the cost, Adam was shocked and could not help but get frustrated about how much it cost.

Meanwhile, Cole notices Adam and is confused by his sudden change in expression.

"Are you okay, Adam. Is this the time?" cole asked mockingly while laughing out loud.

"Haha, that's funny" said Adam cynically.

The elevator eventually descends to the ground floor and as Adam leaves with Cole, they receive a respectful yet confused and curious look from the workers in the building.

"Who are you, actually" murmured Adam curiously.

"I'm Cole by day but by night I'm a superhero who defeats evil and .." Cole joked, before being stopped by Adam.

"Shut up" cut Adam, crazy to find out who Cole really is.

"So, what will be sold at this auction?" adam asked curiously after getting into Cole's car.

"Diamonds, treasures, antiques, all sorts of weird and valuable stuff that people love, but nothing I want" Cole replied as he turned on his luxury car engine.

Sitting in Adam's car, hearing a robotic voice from the system, which he doesn't want to hear anymore.

Adam becomes more agitated with the timing of the system and constantly reveals bad news and in a chaotic mood.

{And the host's prize for its achievement is still unopened} reminds the system.

"Fuck" cried Adam in his mind, annoyed at the system.

Instantly Adam's mood changes again and the system seems to be toying with him as Cole watches his friend constantly change the mood.

"Are you sure you're okay?" cole asked, this time more seriously.

"Yes don't worry Cole" assures Adam.

The mind of the hunter Adam became much more relaxed, but now Adam felt how much he needed it and how useful its effects were, not only in battle but also in daily life.

He could not keep his composure and remained calm, while talking to the system and answering questions, allowing too much expression and emotion to his friends, which he did not want to do.

He did not want his friends to understand and read his emotions and find out about the system, as it made him feel vulnerable and also made them engage in his pursuit of the power and danger that came with it.

Adam did not want to ask the system for help on how to make the Hunters mind have a greater influence on him, because it was annoying, so attempted to do so without the help of the system.

Surprisingly he had succeeded just by intending for it to happen, as he felt his emotionless and unaffected state of mind start to return and he felt his mind more clear and flow faster.

[This is how it should be and I will remain like this] Adam said to himself, feeling security by activating the Hunters mind.

Cole while driving closely observes Adam's continuous emotional changes and can't help but be amused and curious.

"Don't worry bro, if you want to confess to Sarah I'll help you" Cole teased, melting the mood.

"Shut up and focus on driving" Adam argued.

Adam finds a balance between his own influence and the influence of the hunter's mind that is equally important in life, but needs to be balanced or he will not be able to live a normal life and be calm and careful.

While Adam finds his balance and analyzes more of his weaknesses, Cole continues to drive towards their goal.
