The Dungeon System

The Dungeon System
40. Old fears

With two daggers in hand, Adam carefully walked into the rain forest, hearing all kinds of animal sounds in the distance.

Adam had the death sight to get as much as he could from the Underground Prison System and as fast as he could.

He no longer told himself that he had to slowly defeat the Dungeon over time, and the idea of finishing the Dungeon floor in one night was still on his mind.

Holding his dagger tightly, which had a visible crack after losing much of its durability, Adam weaved through the trees.

"I wonder what kind of beast I will meet first on the first floor" Adam muttered as he continued to scour his surroundings in search of the common threats found within the dungeon.

It was clear that the mysterious and heaven-defying Underground Prison System he had obtained was very similar to the game and had different stages with different leveled ferocious beasts with repetitive structures, from what Adam saw.

However, at the same time, Adam has discovered goblins and knows that the system is very random and can generate unexpected obstacles.

With that knowledge, Adam continued to be cautious as he traveled several hundred meters into the dense rainforest.

What surprised Adam was that he saw birds flying over his head, but it didn't seem like they were part of a stage.

"It's definitely a dungeon that's not just divided into stages and I have to be prepared for anything that can come up" Adam told himself.

As he did so he began to hear voices buying old memories, fear and vigilance.

There was a loud crackling and hissing sound that he could hear from the area in front of him.

"Obviously the first animal I had to face was the snake, the animal I feared the most" Adam muttered to himself.

Adam had a severe case of Ophidiophobia when he was young and would scream and sometimes even faint at the sight of snakes, even seeing him in movies and games made him feel uncomfortable.

It took a few seconds for him to regain his composure and as he thought about what he had gone through and his opponent with the Underground Prison System, he had been thinking about, a snake looks like a very small creature in comparison.

Strengthening his will, he walked forward towards what he thought was the first stage, as he instantly saw a huge yellow snake wrapped around a tree in the distance.

The single snake surprised him with its size that was several meters long and quite thick, but a snake in the distance did not threaten him too much.

However, he immediately regretted assuming that it was a single snake, though, when he looked at a few more snakes and found that they were revolving around the central area he was aiming for and he had to fight against the snake beast as what seemed to be the easiest. animals on the 2nd Floor.

Fortunately Adam knew that snakes were not animals that would cooperate, which gave him some certainty unlike when he had to fight against the Canidae group of animals.

Taking a closer look at the yellow snake as he approached it, Adam concluded that it was not a venomous snake, as he had expected, from his initial view and was actually a python.

The body structure, size, and shape of his head gave it to Adam, who had been researching constantly about animals for hunting preparations in the basement.

[If it's like this it's good and bad at the same time. It would no longer have any poison or poison that snakes could inject into my body and would be a great danger. However, it is much stronger, smarter, and has thicker, longer lasting scales] Adam said.

But he also knew that the dungeon was unpredictable and did not consider his observations to be fact until he fought against it head-on.

Wood Python

LVL 11S

HP: 250

Power: 23

Speed: 17

Intelligence: 19

Resistance: 23

His stats were extremely frightening to look at and had the level of strength to be able to rival a Boss Beast from the 1st Floor.

Looking at the beast, the only thing Adam could see was his speed.

However, his resistance and strength would be a huge problem and he knew that he could not let it wrap around him otherwise he would lose to the snake beast.

Moreover, his intelligence was also high and from what Adam assumed, it was not due to sensory abilities, but to his actual mental intelligence.

As he drew closer to the python, hoping to attack it when he was unprepared, the python suddenly opened its eyes and glared at Adam.

It glared straight at Adam and started hissing as it loosened its tight grip around the tree and crept down from the tree to the floor.

Looking at his long, thick body and bulging eyes, Adam was ready to fight as he switched the grip of his dagger into an inverted grip.

Double slash

Activating the skill and pouring an additional 2 MP into it, Adam slashed out with his two blades, launching an energy bar into the python 20 meters in front of him.

At such a close distance and so suddenly, Adam knew it was a definite blow, but still jumped back in case of a counterattack.

As the dust, caused by the energy blade, subsided, Adam saw the python still lying with two small bursts on its body.

His attack had just passed through the scales of an unharmed beast.

Looking at the python's HP, it had only dropped by about 20 HP, but even though the effect was minimal, Adam smiled and found a method to take out the python.

"If I use Dual Slash to pierce through their scales, I can take them out when they try to wrap around my body, All I have to do is with my dagger dig up the wounds I've caused and get them out in seconds against them" Adam's plan, Adam's, who confidently walked up to the python that was also creeping towards him.
