The Grief of the Two Red Lines
Brian's Proposal to Rinnada

The weather on Sunday is very clear. Like supporting the meeting of two people who are in this drunken romance. Go for a walk to the beach after the course aborts the time to meet them in one week.

One week ago, Rinnada and Brian didn't even meet. Only occasionally waving when accidentally passing in the hallway campus. That is why now they choose to meet on Sunday morning, to avenge the passionate longing.

Rinnada held back her hair that was whistled by the wind. Looking before him, the waves were chasing each other. He closed his eyes. Really, it's been a long time since he felt it.

All this time, he had only followed what his mother wanted. In fact, for just a family walk, they almost never do it again.

Brian came from behind. Hugging the body of his lover who enjoys the beach breeze. "You like it?" Whisper in Rinnada's ear.

Rinnada nodded. He turned his body, facing Brian. He put his hands around Brian's neck. "Thank you. You always make me happy". Say it while peeking at Brian's cheek.

His kisses in the back of the hug. "Come, do whatever you want to do here".

Rinnada took off her embrace. Pulling Brian's hand running on the beach. He would throw water at Brian. Run around and laugh, forgetting whatever their burdens are today.

After getting tired of playing, Rinnada lays his head on Brian's lap. His gaze from his chin to the end of his hair that was messy because of the wind. Ah. He loves this guy.

Rinnada touched Brian's chin which from earlier his breath was still up and down because of tired of running. His heart felt racing. He thought, will the happiness he feels today with Brian last until they die? Rinnada could not imagine, if one day Brian realized something, then left him.

"Aren't you tired?" Brian asked who lowered his face, looking at the face of Rinnada who was on his lap.

Rinnada shook his head. "I haven't felt this for a long time." He said while remembering his family. His older brother, Mother, Father, and younger brother.

"really?"

Rinnada nodded. "Mother is a very busy person after Dad died". Rinnada's view was far up in the sky. Remembering his father's face that formed above the sky that he looked at.

"Does your father own a chocolate company?"

"Ah. Is correct. How does Ian know?"

"You forgot again. When I gave you chocolate, I called you the other night. And you're the one who said you're tired of chocolate because your dad owns the company". Obviously Brian still remembers his memory when he called Rinnada.

Rinnada looked confused. But he continued his story. "I was 10 years old. Many say, Father died unnaturally. He was in a terrible accident but the police didn't handle him properly".

"Why is that?"

"Eitherway. From people's stories, Dad's accident was a single accident. There were no eyewitnesses at the time. But, just one day Dad died, the business and stock of Dad's company went down and bought by an unknown person. Father's right hand said, he deliberately sold so we didn't have to bother thinking about the company. But mother accuses Father's right hand of cheating."

Brian was listening.

"Eitherway. I also don't understand about stocks of all sorts. It's just that after that, Mother is like anti when she sees chocolate. No one else ate or bought it."

Brian stroked Rinnada's hair. Listening to the story of his girlfriend's family that had made him sad.

"Sister was busy studying to reach for a specialist. My mother is also a specialist. Mother worked hard so that sister could graduate well." He sighed.

"Who else is in your family?"

"Sister girl. But I'm not familiar".

"Not familiar?"

"Yes. He doesn't like me".

"Why is that?" Brian furrowed his brows.

"Because it's not like this". Ejek Rinnada while laughing. Plays his finger on Brian's nose.

Rinnada raised his head. Sit in front of Brian. Their distance is very close. Brian looked at her lovingly. The only woman to fill her happiness.

Seeing Rinnada who was just silently staring at him, made Brian ask.

"Why baby? Is something bothering you?"

Rinnada. He brought his face closer to the point of feeling Brian's breath. He raised his head, grabbed Brian's lips who had smiled at him. Finding that, Brian returned his kiss. Feel the soft lips of Rinnada.

Their breaths are stinged because of the unusually tight heart rate.

"Don't leave me". Rinnada said softly but sounded terrified from her tone and expression.

"Ri." Brian touched the girl's cheek. "I'm the one who should say that. I'm so scared if you're the one who left me".

Rinnada shook his head. "That's not gonna happen. Never will.." Rinnada raised his little finger. "Promise me. Don't leave me, no matter what happens".

Brian grabbed Rinnada's little pinkie and hooked it up with his pinky. "I, Brian Zaymusi, promise to continue to love Rinnada and will always be by his side. Wait, that can't happen". He felt there was a mistake in his promise.

"What's? Why is it impossible?" Ask Rinnada protest. Started to think Brian might be lying to her.

"What if I want to go to the bathroom? Do you want to stay beside me? How do I work? If I stay by your side, maybe we'll be beggars".

"Speak what are you? Who wants to be a beggar with you?" Ask Rinnada emotion.

"What's? Hey, I can't work if I have to be by your side. How can we eat? If you want to stay close to me, we can both be beggars". Brian said it doesn't make sense.

Bugs!

A punch landed on Brian's chest.

"Awww" The whimper was joking, because Rinnada's punch didn't actually hurt.

"I don't want to be a beggar. Especially with you". He said a protest to Brian who was joking. He wants to keep hearing Brian's sweet promise.

"Yes, yeah, haha. How could I let you live hard. I'm not gonna let that happen."

Brian cupped Rinnada's face with both hands.

"Look.." Brian stared fixedly at the girl in front of him who wore a veiled expression. "I won't be able to see you in trouble. I can't let that happen. So now, marry me first. I'll prove it when you're my wife."

Rinnada let go of Brian's hand cupping his cheek. "What kind of a proposal is that!" Said Rinnada putting on a sullen face.

"So, how? You accept me?"

"No!"

"Come on, accept me first. I'll prove it later". Persuade Brian

"Stop joking. I'm pissed off with you".

"Who's kidding? I seriously. I intend to come to your parents' house tomorrow".

"What?" Rinnada didn't know if Brian was joking or serious.

"Take me, quick." Urge Brian.

"Crab! It's crab!" Rinnada pointed towards the white crab that was walking sideways on the sand.

"Hey, answer me first". Brian held off Rinnada who was about to divert the conversation.

"Wait, I'm going after the animal!" Shouted Rinnada pointing at the crab that was already about to enter the waves.

Brian released his hand that held Rinnada. He smiled happily at Rinnada who was running after the animal. However it seems that he is unable to catch up to her, as the animal realizes the arrival of Rinnada and runs into the waves.

Seeing that, Rinnada looked back at Brian. 'this is because of Ian's brother, I think that's what his gaze means now and made Brian unable to hold back his laughter.
