Brian lifts his stuff into the car with Andre.
"We go to the hospital first, yeah. I want to see Yara for a minute." Brian said, then closed the trunk of the car.
"Correct? You won't be home again, like that day." Ketus Andre's.
"You really saw me drive me out of this city. You should be happy if I stay here". Brian and Andre laughed.
"Yes, I'll take you. It's only an hour, yeah."
"okay." Brian got in the car and they headed to the hospital.
~
Brian took the time to buy a toy and whatever the little girl had told him. Until Andre shook his head, as if Brian was really the father of Yara.
Brian and Andre enter Yara's room and find Zaira, Revi, and Mbok Inah inside. Yara, who was having dinner in the sunangi by Mbok Inah on her bed, was immediately carefree when Brian came carrying a large rabbit doll, Barbie, and a butterfly-shaped balloon.
"Of Bian..." He shouted as he spread his arms happily looking at what Brian was carrying.
Brian laughed at the little girl's response. He then hugged her and gave it all to Yara's lap.
"Mama. look, Ma.." Yara pointed at everything Brian gave her cheerfully as if she had forgotten her feet in bandages.
"Yara likes?" Brian asked as he gently stroked the girl's head.
Yara quickly nodded, "so happy oommm.." she cried enthusiastically.
Seeing that, Zaira looked at Brian wistfully. How can Yara be serial, even though Zaira always tries to make Yara get what she wants even though the girl never says it.
But I don't know why the little girl even said her wish to Brian.
"Thank you, mas". Zaira and Brian just smiled.
"What's leaving tonight?" Ask again.
"Yes, I just stopped by for a second." Brian then sat next to Yara's bed who had been playing with Brian's gift.
The man gently stroked Yara's hair. "Yara, come home first, yeah."
"Well, come home, om. Om, balu until.."
"Om's job is waiting there. So Om has to hurry home. Yara's healing fast, yeah."
"Om back tomorrow, right?" Ask Yara.
Brian just smiled, he didn't answer the girl's question because he didn't know what to say.
"Yara, be nice with mama, yeah." Said Brian again and Yara nodded.
Andre approached Zaira and whispered to her. "Tell me what you're trying to say, 'cause Brian's not coming back here."
Zaira widened her eyes, 'not coming back?'
Andre came out first, he chose to wait in the car.
"Om, tomorrow comes again, yaa". Strangled Yara at Brian who was already standing from his place.
"Hm. anyway Yara healed first so she can play games again." He then kissed the top of the little girl's head.
He turned to Zaira. "Ra, I'll excuse you."
Zaira was staring, her heart and mind were at war after hearing what Andre said to her.
"Mbok, I'm saying goodbye. Rev, thank you so much, yeah. Excuse me." Pamit Brian then got a nod from the two men.
Brian walked up and out of Yara's room. He walked in the corridor with heavy steps. He hugged his ex-wife for the last time. He wanted to say goodbye properly, but did not know where to start and Zaira would definitely refuse. So, she was quite self-conscious, and continued her steps.
While Zaira was still daydreaming in her place.
Zaira looked at Revi, her lips were about to say something but was restrained.
"Go away, don't let anything get stuck in your heart."
Zaira just lowered her head, she clenched her hands together as there was a heavy feeling in her heart.
"Tell me, Ra. What is being detained for? You know better what's good for you, your life."
Hearing that, Zaira nodded then walked quickly out of the room to look for Brian.
"Hey, come on in. Why are you there?" Merely Andre who had seen Brian was staring at the hospital from afar.
Brian let out a sigh, and he opened the car door and was restrained there, looking again at the hospital for the last time and finding Zaira just came out of the door.
"Yan, hurry. You'll be late!" Said Andre and Brian just staring at Zaira who was getting closer.
"Bag.." Zaira stood not far from Brian who had been staring at her.
Zaira was a bit hesitant, she was trying to brave herself. "There's something I want to talk about. Is there still time?" Zaira asked stammeredly, hoping Brian would listen to her first before she left.
Brian nodded, closed the car door again and followed Zaira.
Zaira took him upstairs to the hospital, he sat on a long bench and Brian was next to him.
They stayed for quite a while, a few minutes, immersed in each other's thoughts.
"Ra, I'm sorry for you." Brian started the conversation. But Zaira was silent.
"I've made you hurt a lot. I'll keep apologizing even if I know it won't take away the scar in your heart." Brian looked in front of him, he did not dare to look at Zaira next to him.
Zaira was just listening to him, she wanted to talk but her tongue was heavy.
"I'm glad you finally found your happiness again. It'll ease my mind a little bit all this time." Connect Brian with a faint smile.
Brian ventured to look at Zaira beside him. "I'm not coming back."
Zaira turned to Brian upon hearing that and the woman's eyes began to tear up.
Brian noticed a change in Zaira's eyes that was like defying his tears to come out.
"I just want our relationship to be okay after this. I promise you, I will never disturb your happiness again. Zaira, if you allow me, I'd like to hug you one last time."
Zaira nodded slowly, and Brian immediately hugged her, gently stroking the woman's hair.
After three years he was finally able to hug Zaira's body again which he had longed for. And this will be his last hug.
"Blessed, Zaira. You deserve it so much." Said Brian with a look of sadness.
Hearing Brian's words, Zaira returned his embrace, even tightly, making Brian gasp. Zaira hugged him sobbing, Brian could feel tears piercing into the skin of his shoulder.
Brian let the woman cry, either because all this time he hurt Zaira's feelings too much, or he just wanted to cry it, I don't know, Brian just stroked Zaira's head gently, just, so that the woman is calmer.
Zaira wiped her tears and took off her embrace from Brian.
"Ra, what are you trying to say?" brian asked remembering that Zaira wanted to tell him something.
"I just want to say that you deserve to be happy." Zaira said in a raucous voice, then started to smile.
"Why not try to open the heart again, mas. You're a good man. I've been pondering about it for a long time. What you're doing is actually natural, wanting a child from a marriage". Zaira said, recalling past events, she realized that Brian was really guarding himself from the dirty deeds, the actions made by Dinnara to trap Brian.
"I've gone too far ahead without thinking carefully about what happened to our relationship, I did what my anger wanted, so that I was satisfied, even though the results were not so. Isn't that just a test for our relationship?" Zaira said with a bitter smile, recalling her struggle for three years of remaining in the ego, at war with a heart that yearns for Brian's presence again in her.
Brian looked at Zaira fixedly, Zaira said.. Does he regret the divorce between them?
Seriate...
