The Grief of the Two Red Lines

The Grief of the Two Red Lines
Responsibilities

Brian stared at his vibrating phone on the dashboard of his car. The phone had been vibrating repeatedly but he just looked at the row of numbers that he marked as Rinanda numbers. He got caught with a number that was always noisy calling him.

Last night, Brian was staying in the car he parked at the hospital where Zaira worked. He doesn't know where his wife is. For some days Zaira did not return. But his clothes are still intact in his closet.

Brian could not sleep in his house. His memories with Zaira were very thick and always appeared in his mind. Seeing that the house was empty without Zaira's akfitas made her feel empty.

Brian last night had a dream on Zaira. The woman was walking with a man. Hands up and looks very happy.

Seeing that, Brian was displeased and furious. But somehow, the man who was with Zaira turned out to be her.

It was like seeing himself and Zaira playing around in a flower garden.

Brian yelled, trying to tell Zaira that the man he was with was a fake Brian. But it seems like Zaira is not listening to him. His wife kept laughing with the fake Brian.

Brian felt that Zaira was very happy with the fake Brian. The fake man gave her flowers, Zaira happily accepted them. The woman cried happily hugging Brian and kissing his cheek.

It happened in front of Brian's eyes who was heartbroken over what happened. The pain was so deep in his heart that he cried.

Brian jerks. He awakens and finds the tears he shed in the dream flowing into the real world. He held his heart, the pain in the dream somehow carried over when he woke up.

How can it be like that? Brian sighs. His dream really felt strange because it carried on until he woke up.

Brian saw Zaira's car get into the hospital parking lot. He immediately got out and headed for Zaira's car.

Zaira came out, and found Brian standing next to her. His face was dull and his appearance was messy making Zaira know that the man was not okay either.

Brian squeezed both of his hands with a face that was expecting something.

Brian looked at Zaira's face. As always, his wife was beautiful and fragrant. But still looks scratched sadness on Zaira's face.

"Bec.." Brian was eager to hold her. Seeing Zaira's sad face made her remember her dream.

"I'm.. I'm sorry, Ra. I know I was wrong. So wrong. Ra, gohome. I beg you." His voice was clear and begging Zaira who had looked at Brian with a calm face. Although his heart was not expecting the presence of Brian who made his mood deteriorate.

"I'm sorry, Ra. Sorry.." Brian repeatedly apologized, but did not make Zaira's heart move to forgive him. Not yet, the heartache that Zaira felt was still very much felt until she was very difficult to concentrate.

"Where do you live, Ra. Why not go home all of a sudden like that? A quiet house, Ra. I'm lonely."

Zaira did not answer. His encounter with Sivia strengthened his heart. She did not want to cry anymore for the man in front of her.

"I beg. Go home, Ra. Come on, let's talk about it."

Zaira glanced at her watch. He remembered there was a need this morning. In order to be quick, he answered so that Brian would not interfere with his days.

"All right, I'm going home".

"really? You going home? Do I want to pick you up?" Ask cheerfully. He felt he had managed to persuade Zaira.

"no need. I'll come in the afternoon. When it's over, I'll go in first." He then walked in without looking again.

"I'm coming home, to get my stuff". Murmured Zaira quietly while walking leaving Brian who was having fun because Zaira was finally going home.

Winda took the time to come to Rinnada's apartment. He just wanted to visit his son who is improving. Rinnada's mood is good. Seen from her who always smiled cheerfully.

Winda went into Rinnada's room to help her son get clean and she was shocked to see a pair of blue baby socks on top of Rinnada's glass.

"Rin.." Winda met Rinnada who was in the kitchen with the baby socks in his hand.

"What's this?" Rinnada turned and looked at the small object in his mother's grasp.

Rinnada was silent. He has not said anything to his mother.

"Mother, that." he seemed to be doubtful whether the Winda could accept it or not.

Linda could not guess. Because a little sock signifies something in his mind. But he did not want to assume it himself. He had to hear it from his son.

"I. pregnant, Mother".

Winda. He held his breath. "Pregnant?" Is not Rinanda's relationship over with Brian. Who is she pregnant with?

"Say. Who's pregnant with your child?" Shouted Winda with disappointment because Rinnada was unable to take care of himself.

Rinnada swallowed his saliva. She had never thought that far until Winda could not accept something happening to her son at this moment.

"I-i.. It's a-boy Brian". Speak it intermittently. Worry enveloped his heart.

Winda. He's stiff in his place. "Brian's son you say?" How could Brian do that to Rinnada when a few weeks ago he came to break up a relationship that was not good from the beginning.

"Did she know you were pregnant?" Ask without energy. He wants to fall. She doesn't think her son is pregnant with the doctor's husband who works one roof with her.

Rinnada nodded.

Linda closed her eyes tightly. The bitter reality that he had to swallow now was the future of his son that Brian had ruined. I don't know what's going to happen, especially if everyone in the hospital knows about her son's affair with the husband of the best doctor there.

"Did he take it?" But now, the most important thing is how Rinnada can live well in the future.

Rinanda was silent. Because he himself was trying to get Brian to turn to him. Lately, Brian even difficult to contact and he knows, Brian still begging his wife to forgive him.

"So, he doesn't want responsibility, yeah." His face began to show anger. After all, his son had been desecrated. It's mandatory for Brian to be held accountable. Moreover, Zaira could not have children with Brian.

"Follow me. We'll go see him. He has to take responsibility for what he's done to you." Winda moved from his place. He wanted to go to Brian's office and teach him a lesson so that he would know how to take responsibility.

"Mother, wait. No need to get there like that. I'll talk to myself. He'll be responsible." Rinnada said while holding up Winda's arm. He did not want his plan to wear off because of a speck of wrongdoing by his mother.

Winda sighed violently. "alright. Leave now. If you can't take responsibility from him, let me do it." Says Vinda with anger within her.

The only girl should have a good future with a good man. He won't let his daughter endure her suffering alone.
