The Grief of the Two Red Lines

The Grief of the Two Red Lines
Ends (2)

Zaira gets the news that Papa Brian died, due to the pain he endured from long ago.

He quickly packed up the goods and left for Brian's hometown. Although the relationship ended with Brian, but not so with his Papa, Zaymusi was already considered a father by the Woman.

Just yesterday she had a video call with her ex-parent, introducing Yara to her. With a big smile he greeted Zaira's sleeping son. Not to forget Zaira apologized as often as possible, she was still afraid that her father-in-law's heart was hurt because of her divorce from Brian.

Then, getting news of suffering like this made him very sick. Though, he was intending to bring Yara to him. But he could not do that.

Brian was standing next to his father who was already lying breathless on the bed, the nurse had just taken off the infusion.

Even though last night his condition was very good, he even gave advice to Brian who had failed to build a household.

"You must not remain alone. After this, find a companion. Although guilty in the past, it does not mean you are forbidden to marry. It's just, you have to change for the better". Zaymusi said as she devoured the fruit Brian cut for her.

Zaymusi did not want to go far, preferring the nearest hospital so that he could be buried close to the grave of his wife whom he had asked to vacate. I don't know why, he seems to know the time is not long.

He patted his bowed child on the shoulder. "Don't be too late in grief. Arise up. You're going to have to fall for hurting Zaira, but that doesn't mean you stop there."

His father's words he keeps in his memory. Now she was crying, no one was there anymore.

Zayra, a month ago, officially divorced her. He chose to live in his old city, then now his father also followed his mother, making his heart that has not really healed must be scratched by new wounds again.

Brian asked to immediately bury Zaymusi next to his mother's grave, at his father's request.

Zaira had just arrived at the funeral, she was late because of the long distance. She wanted to see her father-in-law for the last time.

He saw Brian still sobbing near Zaymusi's navel. The place was almost deserted because of the people who started leaving the place.

"Bag.."

Zaira approached, Brian did not turn his head even though he clearly knew whose voice was calling.

Zaira touched her shoulder, she was also sad over the passing of her in-laws, of course she understood Brian's feelings.

Brian turned his head, his face was wet, his eyes were swollen.

"You coming?" He spoke to Zaira in a voice that was running out.

Zaira nodded.

Brian hugged Zaira.

The woman calmly patted Brian on the back gently. He also cried when Brian really sobbed in his arms. This time, Zaira let it happen.

"I'm sorry." whispered Brian in the middle of his prank. Guilt, sadness, and loss mixed in his heart.

"I'm really alone". He muttered in a soft voice. Zaira did not say, she just gently stroked Brian's back, the man who was experiencing difficult times in him, now really understand the meaning of a companion who should be in a state of joy and sorrow. Zaira, although not his wife anymore, even though he had been hurt many times, was still beside him even in times of grief.

...🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻...

3 Years later....

Zaira prepared, she was already wearing the best black dress with her high heels. He walked in the crowd, not a few who glanced at him walking leisurely inside the wedding building.

Zaira's smile expanded as she looked at Hani and Revi at the end of the space that was walking towards Zaira.

"You're so pretty". Praise Revi and Hani together.

Hani was carrying her one-year-old son, a girl she named Ghisa, according to the face of her very cute child.

"Mama" Yara called out to him from behind.

The little girl walked quickly towards Zaira while holding the balloon.

"Darling, who is this from?"

"Om dicana who is still.." Yara said innocently. The little girl is now growing up so beautiful, not even a few say they look alike.

Zaira looked at every corner, looking for Mbok Inah who was supposed to be guarding Yara.

"Hey, the bride has arrived.." Revi said enthusiastically.

Andre gallantly stood up by holding a beautiful woman in a white dress. Applause filled the room. Andre and Yuna looked very happy.

"Mazan.."

Zaira turned her head, looking at a man in a black suit and glasses, standing firmly before her.

"Om good.." Babe Yara suddenly. "Mama, this is Ara Bayon"

Zaira smiled, extending her hand to the person in front of her.

Brian greeted her with a smile. For three years they had not met and Brian saw his ex-wife was still very charming.

"Good.."

Brian looked down, looking at Yara who had been smiling at him since.

"You're definitely fine". He said to Zaira.

The woman just smiled broadly. There was no grudge against him. Brian taught her a great lesson about living without loneliness. Zaira really enjoyed her life.

"Sister Brian, is he married?" Ask Revi suddenly.

"No. I mean, not yet".

"Well, is there a plan to get married?"

"Of course, there is". He answered casually because he remembered the words of his father who could not remain aloof.

"Om good, mama's friend?" Ask Yara innocently.

Brian squatted down facing the little girl.

"really. Om is your mama's friend. What's your name, little girl?"

"Pearl". He answered with his cute face.

"Well, that's pretty. What mean?"

"Tupu-tupu small.."

They all laughed at Yara's funny reply.

"Smart girl." Brian rubbed Yara's head gently.

Brian stood up straight. "All right, I'll go there first". His voice pointed towards Andre at the guaranteeant.

She stepped away, Zaira looking at the back of the man who used to be her husband. Seen his tired face somehow because of what, the man did not look okay.

"Doctor, look what?"

Zaira turned to the source of the voice. "Sivia? He said not to come.."

Sivia laughing. "My lecturer didn't come, doctor. I, too, want to come to the party." Follow him cheerfully.

"Yaraa". Sivia carried Yara.

"Tante, where's dali.." asked Yara in a funny way.

Zaira smiled, her life is now much better since Yara was present in her life, also Sivia who has begun to dare to fight the suffering in her.

Now that she is continuing her schooling, Revi is helping her. Revi asks Sivia to continue her education and Revi proposes for her to become a mental doctor just like her.

Sivia, he didn't tell me his old name. For him it was the past and he liked the name Revi gave him.

Zaira then looked at Brian again. The man was chatting casually with his friend.

Zaira closed her eyes, breathing in the air that was congested from the crowd yet looked like fresh air to her.

Yeah, that's his life now. Although unaccompanied, Zaira really enjoys her happiness in the midst of her loved ones. Until anytime, he will not regret the decision that once had made him slumped. Now, he's much better.
