The Grief of the Two Red Lines

The Grief of the Two Red Lines
Tombs

"Oh, yeah. But it's okay, Mom. I'll go find him myself. Thanks for the information, ma'am." Andre said then slightly bowed his body.

"Attent. You better go with Yuna. He's, like, on holiday". Tini said smilingly glancing at Yuna.

"What?"

"Ah, it's okay, Mom. I can do it myself." Push Andre down subtly.

"Don't do that, Yuna is a kind child who diligently helps. She'll be sad if you don't accept her kindness." Temptation again.

"I'm not sad... Aww!" She was strangled when Tini hit Yuna's foot slowly with her cane.

"It's okay, Andre. So you can quickly find what you're looking for right now. Yuna will help you. Isn't that right, Yuna?" Tini's smile widened until her eyes closed.

Yuna looked at the old woman's face in front of her. "Baiklaaahh." said Yuna half forced. He then went into his house to prepare.

"Actually I'm fine, ma'am, if I'm alone". Said Andre who saw Yuna's compulsion.

"Yuna will help you. Just chill. He knows the quick way there." Tini said to Andre who he judged polite and kind. They then chatted briefly waiting for Yuna to prepare.

~

Andre and Yuna walked into a large burial area.

Andre gawked at the row of tombs before him. Right said Tini. He must have found it hard to find the tomb he was looking for alone.

"Well, I'll check over here and you're over there, brother". Without an answer from Andre the girl stepped into the row of tombs to her right.

"Who was his name?" Yuna asked while looking at the name of the tomb that was there.

"Rinnada or Dinnara".

Andre started looking. When viewed from the row of years, it looks like he has to be a little backward because based on the story of Tini, the incident is still in the same year when he and Brian fled the city.

Andre was silent for a moment. What if Brian blames her for the death of one of the twin girls. Didn't it happen just as Andre forced her out of this city? Andre's mind started to rage.

"Have you met?" The sound of Yuna's cry spread out her daydream.

"Not yet" he replied a little loudly. Andre started to look again.

They searched for a while and then they found it.

"Here, I'll see you." Yuna waved her hand towards Andre who immediately ran slowly towards Yuna.

His chest rumbled, his blood rushing. The sweat on his forehead began to fall. He approached the tomb where Yuna was standing.

Andre swallowed his saliva. Without him noticing his body trembling. Slowly he glanced at the name on the tombstone.

"Ah.he.." Andre's knee is squeezing. It felt like he wanted to collapse, but Andre still held his footing.

"Are you okay?" Yuna held onto Andre's arm which seemed to have been badly hit.

"It's okay. I'm done. Come on, I'll take you home". Andre immediately stepped out quickly. The feeling is mixed. It felt like he was eager to yell at the recent circumstances that got him involved.

Yuna looked at the man's departure. He was still standing next to the tomb that he himself did not recognize.

"Is this woman his lover?" Mumbled Yuna, then walked after Andre who had already moved away.

~

Andre and Yuna stayed quite a while in the car. They were immersed in their thoughts. Andre's face looked in great shock. Sometimes he bit the nail on his right hand.

"What.. is he your lover, brother?" Yuna's voice made her turn straight away. He was barely aware there was someone else in his car.

"What's? Uh. Nope. He's a friend at my college". Answer Andre. Because there was no way he could tell at length the terrible story of his best friend.

"Did you live here?" Yuna asked deliberately looking for a topic for the sake of melting Andre's face from earlier looks frozen.

"Yes. I used to live in this city. How do you know?" Ask Andre who started melting.

"Look at you know the directions. I guess I shouldn't have come." Yuna replied again.

"No. You should come after I see the vast area of the tomb". Say it with a little joke.

"Haha I expected it."

They chatted casually until Andre pulled his car over in front of Yuna's house.

Andre got out of the car. He saw Tini was no longer in his place.

"Thank you for driving me". Said Yuna who was standing right at the gate.

"I should be thanking you. Thank you, yes. Now come on in." Andre said with a smile on his lips.

"good. Be careful on the road." Yuna opened the gate and entered leaving Andre still standing there.

He stared at the gate for a long time. For a moment he forgot his burden while chatting with Yuna earlier. And now, the burden was like slamming again on his shoulders.

****

Andre jerks. He immediately regained his senses from his long daydream when he heard a knock from the door of his room.

"Come in". His orders are to outsiders.

Zaira appeared from behind the door with her sad face. He sat down in front of Andre.

Zaira stayed long enough. So did Andre who was actually heavy with his search results yesterday.

"How, brother?" Zaira's voice raspy. He looks so fucked up.

Andre lowered his eyes. Look at his fingers clung to his chest.

"Before, did you know the story about Brian's past?" Ask Zaira who may not know who her ex-boyfriend was.

Zaira nodded slowly. He somehow didn't want to know that. Since he was aware, it would definitely hurt him let alone the woman of the past re-emerging to make Brian turn to him.

"Listen, Ra. It's something you should know."

Brian then tells the strange story Brian faced eight years ago. How he got acquainted until he separated from his lover.

Zaira's expression seemed ordinary. He was not even surprised when Andre told him about the terrifying twin Rinnada.

"Then do you know who's with Brian now?" Ask Andre who is still in shock with the name listed on the tombstone he was looking for yesterday.

Zaira was still with the same expression, she was not that targeted. For him, whether Rinnada or Dinnara are there at this time, Brian is still tempted.

"He is a Rinnada". Answer Andre limp.

Andre himself had been thinking that what came to Brian was Dinnara. Rinnada's behavior is inversely proportional to Dinnara's. Brian must know that. But I don't know what made that jerk not realize.

How did Rinnada change? Andre did see the style and manner of speech similar to Rinnada. But the practice is very different. I don't know what changed that woman to the point of destroying other people's households.

Zaira. Her own face is slightly lowered.

"Then what should I do?" He muttered softly but Andre could still hear that sad voice.

Seriate....
