The Grief of the Two Red Lines

The Grief of the Two Red Lines
Extra9

"Zaira's depressed?"

Brian was confused, he did not expect Zaira to experience such a thing.

"I don't know."

Winda sighed, "I know you don't know anything because you left immediately after that. Zaira covered up her problem. If you want to know, see Dr. Revi. I'm sure he can help you."

Brian just kept quiet, he mused over Zaira's fate all along.

Winda clasped Brian's hand, "If you still love him, don't let go. Zaira just needs time to take you back. But I'm sure he's still slipping your name in his heart." Say it with teary eyes.

"You have to be happy, so I can live a quieter life". Winda wiped his tears. His feelings have never been calm every time he saw Zaira coming to poly soul to secure the burden on his heart.

"I don't know. Now my only wish is for him to be happy, even with other men." Brian solemnly said, his mind has now changed after listening to the words of the Winda today.

Gio comes to Zaira's house with Yara's favorite dolls and balloons.

The little girl looked very happy. Giopun invited Yara to play in the front yard, and Zaira sat looking at those who were playing throwing balloons.

The pleasure was in Brian's eyes. He watched his ex-wife from a distance. He was eager to approach but he was afraid that Zaira would be overwhelmed by his presence again.

Brian gasped, intending to see Revi to ask about Zaira.

A few hours after waiting, Brian was finally welcome in.

"Have you waited a long time?" Revi asked when he saw Brian come in.

He's nodding.

"Much more important patient." It's a sign that Brian isn't important.

Brian sat down in front of Revi.

"So can you help? What's stress?"

Brian shook his head. "I want to ask you a favor."

Revi did not reply, he waited for Brian to finish his sentence.

"I want to ask you the real Zaira".

Revi frowned. "The real news?"

"I knew Zaira wasn't okay after I left".

Revi sighed and leaned back in his chair. "Know where, brother? He's fine."

"I know from someone that he came here to relieve his depression".

Revi tapped his pen to the table.

"Then, if you know, what do you want?"

Brian was silent, he looked down because he did not know what to do.

"Not appearing before him again is a good path for Zaira, sis." Revi said straight to the point, even though he knew Zaira also wanted to meet and see Brian at Andre's wedding at that time.

Brian swallowed his saliva. Revi's words were indeed true, but still he could not resist the desire in his heart.

"Can I do something for him?" Ask Brian. "Besides getting away from her". Add it when Revi will make a sound.

Revi stared fixedly at Brian's face. "What does she really want? Isn't it clear that Zaira doesn't want her brother in her life anymore"

"I'll leave, after being absolutely sure Zaira doesn't keep her feelings for me anymore, I'll get breastfed if she chooses another man to marry." Answer with a bitter smile.

Revi saw the sincerity in Brian at this time. Highlight his eyes on Zaira at that time, it looks still very loving ex-wife.

Revi seemed to think, he tapped his finger on the table.

"Please help me just this once. I'd do anything if you gave me information about Zaira. Tell me so I know what to do in the future."

"Haaahs. It could break my ethics as a doctor!" He complained loudly. Then I looked at Brian.

"All right, I'm telling you. Yes, Zaira in the first few years did still love you. All this time, he's been trying his hardest to forget you. When he starts to forget you, you shamelessly come asking for it back. Hence, we all conspired to match her up with Gio."

Clearly Revi was at length and got eyes looking at him wryly.

"That was. Now it might be different. Yes, he comes here often to consult me. Just telling me the burden. Not more."

Brian was pensive again.

"Look it up, make sure of yourself with your big brother's eyes. If you are sure, go and never come back.

"I intend so. I'll leave after Zaira actually chooses that guy. I promise I won't stop her from choosing for her own happiness."

Revi let out a soft sigh, Brian looked extremely weak.

"I'm not having fun either. I was tormented at the thought of Zaira. Not for a second did he get out of my mind. Hence, when I saw him again I thought I could, it didn't."

"Then, it's all because of my brother".

"I know, the three-year sentence is not long compared to Zaira's torture because of me. Revi, help me."

Revi furrowed his brows.

"Help me to get back to her, I promise I won't hurt her again."

"Huh?" Revi laughed crisply.

"You destroy it yourself, so fix it yourself. I'm sure if you're sincere, kindness will come to you". Revi said as he stood up and opened his doctor's suit.

"I'm done and excuse me because there's something important to do". He said walking while holding his suit leaving Brian.

...*****...

Gio knocked on Zaira's door. He stopped by because there was something he wanted to ask the woman.

"Gio, are you coming?" Zaira smiled and let Gio sit in front of her.

Gio looked over here and there. Zaira's room is very simple and not much equipment.

"Gio, is there something?" Zaira asked while typing on her laptop.

"Mazan.."

"Yes?"

Zaira glanced at Gio at a glance as he was busy with his laptop.

"Have you been alone for a long time?"

Zaira rounded her eyes, Gio's question made Zaira stop her activities.

"I'm sorry, I asked like this."

"That's three years."

Gio slackened slowly. "What are you planning to marry?"

Zaira took a breath while closing her laptop. "There's not".

Gio nodded again, Zaira still had no intention of getting married. Not not not, just not yet.

"If you?"

Gio raised his eyebrows, Zaira instead asked back. Didn't he understand that Gio meant to ask because he wanted to get serious with her?

"I'm waiting for someone."

"Am I?"

Gio widened his eyes, Zaira was very blatant.

"Yeah. Sorry.."

Zaira laughed softly. "Come, at the age of us who want to reach head four, is it still playing around?"

Gio looked embarrassed. "I'll wait for you until you're ready".

Zaira propped up her chin, "really? You want to be with me? I'm a widow." He said while smiling.

"Why? Widows don't matter either, that's you." He said with a smile to see Zaira who was also cracking her lips while looking at him.
