Brian was still in his place. He didn't even move for minutes. How could now a bad thing happen to him just after he started to put his hopes on the fetus that Rinnada conceived.
Aw, Rinnada. Whose child is that in her birth? Did he cheat Brian?
Brian now can not think how he is going forward, because now it is precisely he thinks of things that happened later that made Zaira tormented by it.
He considered Zaira his best wife, and his heart sizzled out the one thing that was most powerful, making Zaira's kindness seem to vanish. It's about pregnancy.
Although he did not care at first, in the end Rinnada was able to make his heart upside down, becoming someone who wanted to have a baby.
Brian crying. His shoulders were shaken by a sobbing that he could not stand.
Brian was not crying for himself who turned out to be unable to have children, but because he felt the sad things that Zaira passed lately because of his selfishness.
He bit his tongue. His words had offended Zaira, perfectly deserved Zaira was angry and slapped her.
Brian then nodded. He saw that Zaira was no longer in front of him. Then he got up and chased Zaira out of the house, but for free. That woman is no longer there. He was gone, and his things he had brought with him.
The deep wounds he inflicted on Zaira's heart that had been protecting her all this time.
Brian cursed himself and the stupidity that made his life now in a slump.
...*****...
Brian rang the bell of Rinnada's apartment many times without stopping, but the door was not open. He banged on the door, but there was no answer. Apparently, there was no one inside.
Brian was silent for a moment, trying to think of something else to do.
He then headed to Andre's apartment to ask for Zaira's address. He wanted to apologize and kneel down to Zaira for her mistake. After all, he was too guilty of what happened.
Brian rang the doorbell of Andre's apartment without pause, making Andre who fell asleep must be forced to wake up with annoyance.
"Who's coming and howling at this hour!" Andre got up from his sleep. He glanced at the wall clock. At 12 p.m.
Andre grumbled in annoyance. He walked around without a shirt and only wore his shorts.
He peeked out from the door slit, then opened the door and found Brian standing with a chaotic appearance. His face was as moist as if crying. Brian went in without being asked.
"What?" Andre's touch while furrowing his brows, he was still standing before his door. Andre is lazy to serve Brian who is not sane.
"Tell me Zaira's address". Say it with a breath of breath between holding back a cry or anger.
"I don't know". Tukas Andre's.
"You must not deceive me. You must know." Brian stood up and gripped both shoulders of Andre. "Quickly. Where's the address, you know and you don't have to hide it from me!"
Andre pushed Brian's defenseless body into the floor.
"Go home and start your new life with Rinnada. You don't bother Ziara. Let him live his life again".
Brian was lying there. She did not get up and instead cried covering her face with her arms.
"I was wrong, Dre. I regretted. I love Zaira more than anything". He sobbed, letting himself droop and drifting in the deepest regret. Her tears were shed nonstop.
Andre looked at Brian's increasingly alarming situation. He pityed his best friend, for his own folly had finally fallen into a deep abyss.
Andre extended his hand to Brian. "Wakeup. I'll help you one last time."
Brian gathered his strength and grabbed Andre's hand. He got up and stood facing his friend.
"You want to help?"
Andre nodded. "Proverbs did not return to Zaira".
Brian was disappointed. He then sighed. "Dre. Help me to be with Zaira again, I beg for the last time. I promise you I won't ask for anything after this." Brian clenched his hands together on his chest, pleading with Andre with a wet face.
Andre threw his face away with a rough sigh. Brian is really shameless. He didn't even understand that Zaira had given up and didn't want to be with him anymore.
Seeing Andre's reaction that refused indirectly, Brian pleaded again. "Then, I beg you. Just tell me the address. I wanted to beg her for forgiveness because she had covered up my flaws all along". Brian's voice sounded heavy.
"It turns out he told you, yes".
Andre nodded slowly. "You know by now, your wife's struggle covers your disgrace. Being insulted and considered unworthy as a wife to cover up your shortcomings".
"You know what, Dre?" Brian slips. He didn't even say what happened, Andre already knows?
"Yes. I knew from the beginning. His decision was unanimous to be quiet when he saw you still spread it when he had not told you the results. Isn't your wife amazing?"
Brian widened his eyes. "You know but you didn't tell me?"
"Zaira asked to keep her mouth shut. I've been trying to keep reminding you not to be sorry. Then you?"
Brian lowered. He admitted wrong. He was wrong until he felt that nothing of himself was worth defending.
"I'm a jerk". He murmured slowly, cursing himself.
"really. Already, go home there." Send Andre to Brian because he is getting sleepy again.
But apparently, Brian did not move out. He sat down on the sofa again.
"I'm sleeping, Dre".
Andre gawks and goes into his room leaving Brian alone there.
...*****...
Brian daydreams at his desk. Early this morning he was waiting for Zaira at the hospital. But it turns out he didn't come. The nurse said, Zaira is filling out a seminar somewhere.
His daydream was broken when he heard the knocking of the door. Then a thick man came in. Dress neatly and formally. Brian squinted his eyes, he knew the man.
"Ennata?"
"Well, you still know me." Ennata smiled and sat down on the sofa as Brian invited her.
Brian squeezed his finger. He wondered what caused Ennata to come all the way to see him.
"Are you okay?" Ennata saw Brian's slightly puffy face.
"Yes, that's it." Saying potluck. "Then, what's up here?" Ask curiously.
"I've heard your story. I know I'm not a good brother to my sister. I can't even change my mother."
Ennata's sentence was not understood by Brian. What was it with her until she said it?
"So, I'm just trying to tell you." Ennata took out a rather large box from his backpack.
"Sorry I'm late. But, it's better than nothing". Ennata handed the box to Brian who still did not understand Ennata's intentions.
"I can't linger. I'll take my leave first. Hope your life is better."
Ennata then left the room, escorted Brian to the front of the door.
Brian looked at the box with curiosity. Then he opened it.
Brian's eyes rounded when he found Rinnada's stuff in there, as well as the items he had given to Rinnada.
"What does this mean? Why did he give me this?"
Brian then opened a folded sheet of paper.
He was shocked in disbelief when Rinnada's death letter was written there.
Seriate....
