Renata Regret

Not only was Sebastian happy, but Bara felt the same way. Kirana guesses that now Renata is after Bara, expecting the help of the man to solve his problems in the hospital.

Renata did not know that it was all a scenario compiled by Bara and had received approval from Sebastian as the leader of MegaCyber who handled the case.

Renata has been contacting him for a week via text or even direct phone calls. Just a matter of one finger Bara responded to Renata's phone call, it was only in a short time.

Until finally this afternoon, Bara received Renata's invitation to meet at one of the cafes located not far from the office that was being visited by Bara.

“What's the need until you force a meet like this ?” bara asked unceremoniously as the two of them were already sitting opposite to the glass of drink in front of them.

“I want to ask for help,” said Renata with a clear face. He no longer changes his calling no longer me elo.

“If the case in the hospital, I can't,” unknowingly Bara has also changed the name of himself is no longer you and me. “The problem of internal case settlement is the hospital authority, Sebastian company is only the second party appointed to manage its system.”

Bara was about to get out of his chair, but Renata's hand held him back, making Bara look straight at the woman.

“I beg you not to go now, Bara, please,” pinta Renata back.

Bara glanced at his watch, as if he had come to this place not to linger with Renata.

“Only fifteen minutes, Bara. I'm asking you for another fifteen minutes. I promise,” Renata again cupped both hands begging Bara.

Bara also positioned his seat to be comfortable again facing Renata. His eyes stared intently at Renata but no words came out of his mouth.

“I once liked one of the IT staff in the hospital. I continued to pursue him even though I had been rejected twice. Imagine as in the novels, it only takes patience to get the love of the man, even I was determined to enter the IT room that has limited access. I got caught on CCTV so I'm still suspected of being one of the hospital data breaches.

I've asked Ardi, the man's name, to explain to the investigation team that I came there just to see him, nothing more. But like getting wind to keep me away from her, Ardi let me and pretended not to know what I was doing all this time.

It occurred to me that you could help me Bara. Sorry if it occurred to me with your confession that I was special to you they would not suspect me anymore. I see that your position has influence there and is quite respected, so I'm sure your statement will be trusted and make me get away from this problem.”

“What's that not utilizing my feelings like in the past?” cynic Bara .

“Yes maybe so, Bara. Sorry for what I said earlier,” said Renata.

“Atau lest it turns out you are actually using Ardi to achieve your goal to damage hospital data ? Wasn't your family ever made difficult by Sebastian's family ? It is not impossible if you are hurt and use your position as a doctor to avenge Sebastian ?”

“But in reality you and Aunt Miranda are still trying to intimidate Kirana as Sebastian's wife. You've been trying to be an actor in their relationship.”

“I admit I was so envious to see Kirana become Sebastian's wife. Unlike Shera who is a graceful, beautiful woman and has a job as a lawyer who is quite popular, Kirana is just an ordinary girl who only wins young. I don't see the advantages of Kirana that seem worthy of being a rival to me. I was thinking Kirana could use black magic to get Sebastian.”

“Use shaman you mean ?” satirize Bara with a cynical smile. “Kirana is not such a woman. He's more honorable than Shera and yourself.”

Renata smiled bitterly and looked at Bara with a sad face. This man's heartache in front of her must have been so deep that there had never been a friendly tone that Renata had heard during their reunion after so many years.

“Yes, Kirana does have advantages that neither I nor Shera ever had. Sincerity and kindness. I've seen him a few times, whether he's alone or with Sebastian. Although her current position was a young Pratama mistress, yet I could see she was still so simple and humble. Friendly to the people in this hospital to many karywan here who know him as a kind young mistress.

From there I realized that the advantages that Sebastian had been looking for, not the beautiful women that he was so easy to get. “Good if your heart can still see the advantages of others,” taunted Bara with his cynical smile. “Kirana will never be compared to you.”

“What do you also never like Kirana ?” ledek Renata laughed softly, trying to open a conversation with Bara without her cynical tone.

“Kirana I have considered like my sister who has always stayed away from me. Kirana deserves a special place and affection in the hearts of many people,” firmly Bara without the slightest smile.

“Yes, your words are correct. And now it's my turn to apologize to you, Bara. I'm really sorry. My experience with Ardi seems to have put me in your position when we were in high school. Sorry if I hurt you so much too deeply,” Renata said with a sincere look, but Bara only screeched with a cynical smile.

“Sorrying and apologizing may be easy, but forgetting something that hurts is not easy. Moreover, the wound until it leaves a mark, even though it heals but the scar is still visible to make the victim will return to remember the incident that caused the scar.”

Renata just smiled bitterly and stirred up a lime squash drink in front of him. Again there was only regret in Renata's heart.

Renata lifted his face and looked at Bara who was also looking at him with a face full of hurt and hatred. The wound that Renata had incised many years ago seemed to be torn and sore again in the man's heart.

When High School first, actually Renata had liked Bara. The man was handsome and full of mystery though not as handsome as Sebastian. His silence and closed attitude makes Bara difficult to approach plus the economic conditions included in the lower classes in the school, making his female friends look less at the clever and handsome Bara. They are only good because they want to utilize the intelligence of Bara.

When close to Bara, Renata often felt a fine palpation in her heart. He knew that he was starting to be interested in Bara, but given the economic conditions of the Bara family which was far compared to his family until Renata was afraid that his life would be difficult, renata purposely hurts her and drives Bara away from her life. Renata doesn't want to get caught up in her feelings. With Sebastian ?  It felt like the man was just an obsession for Renata. After getting to know Bara it turns out that the man is as fun as Sebastian, even more friendly and mature.

“It's been more than fifteen minutes of time I gave you,” Bara got out of his chair.

“Bara,” Renata again held the man's arm making Bara look at him with a frown and dislike face.

“With all my heart I am truly sorry for all my past actions and sorry again if today my words again hurt you because of the impression I want to use you. But really, today I don't mean it like that. I really learned from Ardi and Kirana's experience. Both of them make me open my eyes to my behavior from the past until now. I'm sorry, Bara,” Renata smiled sincerely.

Bara was slightly stunned by the sight before him. His heart thumped slightly as he felt that the words and smiles given by Renata were so sincere, just like when the girl asked him to become a mentor for the first time.

“I will resign from the hospital if it is allowed or at least until I can prove that I am not part of the group trying to break into hospital data. Thank you for your time today, Bara.”

Renata let go of Bara's hand and returned smiling with all her heart. He did not want to hold the man for too long which turned out to revive the thump in his heart. Debar who had always been denied just because he thought Bara was not a man who deserved him.
