The End of a Taste

Kirana was accompanying her two children who had just finished bathing when her phone was heard many times the message sign came in. Even the last voice calls the phone and looks My Bee's name there.

“Morning already missed, Bee ?” ledek Kirana while answering Sebastian's phone call.

“What else are you ?” sebastian asked in a serious tone making Kirana frown her forehead.

“Again twins, they just finished shower.”

“You yourself have taken a shower ?”

“Shera accident earlier at Puncak area. He is now in the Pratama hospital. You can call your mom first and ask for help coming to the house to accompany the twins ? I'll have the office driver pick up mom. Mr. Tomo will pick you up soon.”

Kirana was stunned, as if in disbelief at the news delivered by Sebastian. Just two days ago they met at a dinner at Uncle Raymond's house.

It comes directly to Kirana's mind that this accident has something to do with Romi, the man who forced Shera to become her mistress.

Sebastian's waiting for Kirana in the Pratama Hospital lobby. Kirana rushed down when the car carried by Mr. Tomo had stopped perfectly in front of the lobby.

Kirana approached Sebastian who was still talking on the phone, there was no Dion who was accompanying her. Once he found his wife already embracing his arm, Sebastian ended his conversation.

“What is the condition severe, Bee ?” kirana asked worriedly.

“Shera wants to meet you,” Sebastian said as he clasped Kirana's hand that was still holding her arm.

“What is the condition this severe, Bee ?” kirana asked again as Sebastian led her to the ICU door.

“I'll be with you,” Sebastian said as they reached the front door of the room but not the ICU room.

There was Om Herman and Aunt Mira standing in front of the room, while Steven was still wearing his snell sat on Raven's side and took the boy to talk, next to them was Auntie Rosa. There was no Uncle Raymond there.

“Kirana.” Aunt Mira immediately approached Kirana and hugged her. Kirana sighed easing her worry, her hand returned Aunt Mira's embrace and rubbed her slowly.

“We wish the best for Shera, Auntie,” Kirana said to calm the crying Aunt Mira while hugging her.

“We go in first, darling,” Sebastian comes closer and invites Kirana into the room.

Om Herman approached and embraced his wife who was still very hit.

Sebastian frowned at the sight of Steven already standing behind him as he opened the door for Kirana.His gaze seemed to ask Steven why to come in with Sebastian and Kirana, but his cousin ignored Sebastian's gaze, instead directly tucked behind Kirana who entered first.

Sebastian could only snort in annoyance. Not the time he nagged Steven whose impression still wanted to stick to Kirana.

Kirana clasped Sebastian's fingers tightly to strengthen her who was so sad to see the current condition of Shera.

Sebastian was stunned to hear Steven's explanation. The memory of the events that had happened to him seemed to repeat itself and this time Steven was the one who occupied his position.

Kirana slowly touches Shera's arm. There were some small wounds to his left arm, such as being hit by broken glass. It was unexpected that the woman's eyes were open and had blinked a few times. Clear liquid started flowing from both corners of his eyes.

As if understanding with Shera's gaze, Kirana turned her head towards Steven.

“Can this oxygen mask be removed for a while ? Looks like something to say by Shera.”

Steven approaches Shera's bed while Sebastian is still standing next to Kirana watching Steven begin to open the oxygen cover on Shera's face.

“Sorry.” The two corners of Shera's eyes still shed tears and the one word she said without a sound did not even turn her head because her head was held back by a neck brace.

“All have forgiven you. Get well quickly and fight for Raven,”, Kirana said between her tears.

Shera only smiled faintly and re-opened her eyes. And once again he moved his lips saying an apology without a sound.

Only up to that struggle Shera because after that, his eyes again closed and did not reopen the long sound of a heart detector that made Kirana immediately cry.

Steven rang the emergency call, Sebastian asked Kirana away so that Steven was more free to do the needed action.

Shera, who was declared by doctors to be 4 weeks pregnant, died. Shera had a single accident in the Puncak area around 2am. The car that turned out to be driven by Romi entered the ravine and was only discovered by residents around 4 am this morning.

When found, Romi was dead and Shera was taken to a hospital in Bogor and transferred to Pratama hospital on the orders of Uncle Raymond.

Kirana was still crying in Sebastian's arms when the doctor declared the time of Shera's death while Steven just stood silently watching the woman who had the status of his wife was already stretched stiff and lifeless, it's a secret that Steven never knew.

Aunt Mira immediately fainted when she heard the doctor's statement that her only daughter died.

Steven rushes out, looking for Raven and holds her in his arms and gives her a warm hug for her son. There is no sadness for a husband who lost his wife, especially when he got the news that Shera was pregnant and the woman was not alone in the car.

Sebastian takes Kirana out. His beloved wife was still crying in his arms. No matter what Kirana's heart is made of, weeping over the woman who once tried to thwart her marriage to Sebastian in a truly despicable way.

“Mama,” Raven broke free from Steven's sling and rushed over to the crying Kirana.

“What evil Uncle equals Mama ?” Raven rubbed Kirana's hand and stared ferociously at Sebastian who immediately grumbled.

Kirana releases Sebastian's embrace and kneels, aligning her position with Raven's tiny body.

“No, Uncle Bas is not evil, even dear to Auntie,” Kirana stopped her crying and tried to smile.

“Keep why Mama cried ?”

Sebastian rolled his eyeballs and breathed angrily hearing Steven and Shera's son still calling his wife mama and Steven papa. Though Kirana herself had already gotten herself into auntie in front of Raven.

“Auntie sad because mommy Raven sleeps and won't wake up again.”

Raven frowned, her hands still rubbing Kirana's cheeks wet with tears.

“Mommy bobo day ?” asked Raven while frowning. “Mommy is sleepy so don't wake up again, Ma ?”

“Mommy bobo because you want to go see the stars and the moon in the sky,” Kirana said while trying to smile.

“It’s okay,” said Raven with a smile.

Kirana's heart was like pierced, sore, when she saw not a look of anxiety let alone sadness on Raven's face when she heard her mommy was asleep and probably would not be able to meet her again.

“There is still Papa,” Raven turned to Steven with a smile. “There is still Mama who will accompany Raven.”

Sebastian breathed a hold on his emotions. It felt like explaining at length that Kirana was not her mother, but Ronald and Roland's mother. Moreover, calling Kirana and Steven as his father and mother. It was impossible to explain in anger because Raven did not understand any more.

“Auntie Kirana, not mama,” Kirana said with a smile.

Kirana sighed and infiltrated Sebastian's arms while hugging her husband's waist.
