Chapter 70 Kirana Challenge

With a face of sumringah, Steven invites Kirana to enter a restaurant that is quite luxurious. Kirana just kept quiet and followed all of Steven's will to please her according to the demands of daddy Richard.

The place chosen by the young doctor looks very romantic, but it does not affect the heart of Kirana who misses Sebastian more than a dinner like this.

“How, Na ? You like this place ?” asked Steven with an enthusiastic face.

“Lumayan,” replied Kirana with a faint smile.

“I can often invite you here if you like the atmosphere and the food.”

“It would be even more fun if you brought your girlfriend here and I brought my future husband, Steve. Doubel date,” says Kirana kalem.

Steven's expression that had been sparkling turned flat and a smile disappeared from his face. He looked out for breath and looked the other way.

Their conversation was interrupted as the waiter delivered their food and beverage orders. Steven looked more silent and his face turned flat, unlike the first they entered.

“How do you do as a doctor, Steve ?” kirana asked in between their meals.

“As usual, nothing special,” said Steve with a lazy face. He did not look at Kirana while answering the girl's question.

“May I know why you chose to take a child specialist ? Not other specialists who may in terms of material more tempting income ?”

“Do you see the profession of a doctor only in terms of material, Nana ? That's why you prefer Sebastian over me ?”  the look on Steven's face that changed suddenly became fierce and his voice raised, making Kirana startled.

“I don't mean so Steve. Not because of material. But I didn't expect that a Steven I knew would pick a child specialist. Though your own papa if not one is a heart specialist.”

“You really want to know why I chose a child specialist ?” Steven looked at Kirana more gently, not as angry as before. “That's all because of you.”

“What does this have to do with me?” Kirana knitted her two eyebrows.

“Because you like children. I've often noticed how you used to help look after Kendra, help your mama with the 1st grade kids, and everything you do is well recorded in my memory. I hope my world will be the same as yours, and that we will be together often. Even I was really expecting to have a lot of children with you.”

Steven tried to grab Kirana's fingers on the table, but before being touched by the man, Kirana moved him under the table.

“You can still realize your dream of having a family with many children, Steve, even if not with me. I'm sure that someone as good as you will get a good wife and love you very much.”

Steven just fell silent and sighed heavily. He moved his empty dinner plate. A waiter approached and raised an empty plate belonging to Steven and Kirana.

“I can ask you something, Steve ?”

Steven just nodded in response. His hand played the tip of his right ear. Kirana smiled, Steven's habits did not change and it was because of that habit that made Kirana's mind open.

“What is your relationship with Shera ?”

Steve looked up and looked at Kirana while frowning.

“What does your question mean, Nana ? Is Shera the one who made you refuse to accept my love?”

“Not Steve,” Kirana smile. “Shera's problem has nothing to do with how we both feel. But everything has to do with Raven.”

“Raven ?” Steven was getting confused with his forehead still wrinkled. “What is the relationship of Shera's son with me ?”

“That's what I want to ask you tonight,” Kirana said with a slow laugh.

“You mean the son of Shera is my son too?” there was a dislike in Steven's words.

“What is impossible ?’ Kirana raised both eyebrows.

“Cannot be !” protest Steven with a loud tone. “I have never been in contact with any woman, not even a paid woman. I want to give myself completely just for you, Kirana Gunawan.”

“Thank you for all your intentions it's Steve. But the destiny of man no one knows. These days I just remembered the first time I met Raven. The habit is rubbing the ear tips when being agitated just like you did just now. Habits that are impossible to imitate by a child who has never met you before. And Raven's eyes are very similar to yours, the Pratama boys.

At first I thought that Raven might be Sebastian's son, but DNA tests proved that the fetus Shera conceived was not Sebastian's flesh. And in the Pratama family, there are still other men who do have a relationship with Shera.”

“Cannot Nana !” Steven's jaw started to harden. Although the sentence was spoken in a slow tone, but Steven really confirmed every word.

“I won't believe it until you're willing to do a DNA test, Steve,” challenge Kirana with a faint smile. “For that long I will stick with my stance that Raven is your son and Shera.”

“Then what if I can prove that Raven is not my son ?” steven asked with a grin on his face.

“Means I will throw my mind off Raven's status as your son,” Kirana replied casually while laughing softly.

“Only it?” Steven squinted his eyes.

“What else do you want ? As long as instead of asking me to leave Sebastian and cancel our wedding, your request can I consider.”

“You're sure Sebastian will help you fulfill my request if it proves that Raven isn't my son?”

“Yakinu. I'm pretty sure Sebastian will agree to my request as long as it's not the two things I mentioned. After all, we already love each other, so as long as it is for the good of both of us, Sebastian will definitely support me, as well as the other way around.”

“I will think,” Steven said as he leaned his body into the chair.

“Think carefully Steve. Pity that Raven is your real son. All this time I've seen Shera pay less attention to the boy. Maybe because he felt annoyed because his biological father did not want to take responsibility,” Kirana said while looking at Steven with a serious face.

“Don't look at me like that. I'm sure Raven't been my son. To let you know Nana, Steven” stuck his body to the table and advanced his face closer to Kirana.

“I have never had intercourse with any woman, even in a state of intoxication and unconsciousness,” Steven said with a confident smile.

“May no one trap you to make you have a child from Shera,” Kirana said while laughing softly.

“After all, the matter of Raven not having papa is none of my business. It was all wrong Shera who did not want to be frank who would impregnate him,” looks a cynical smile on Steven's face.

Kirana just smiled. It is true what Steven said. Had Shera been willing to speak frankly about the man who planted the seed in her womb, it would probably not have been the drama of the annulment of the marriage with Sebastian and now Raven would have grown up to be a happy child with full parents.

But if Steven is so sure he never planted his seeds on Shera, how the two-year-old boy could have the eyes of a Primary and Steven's habits that Raven also has.

Both Steven and Kirana were more silent until finally Steven mobi arrived in front of Kirana's house.

“Thank you for the deal tonight, Steve. I hope to get a positive answer after you think about it again,” Kirana said before getting off the car.

“I wouldn't delay it if you agreed to my request, Nana. If the DNA test results prove Raven isn't my son, you're willing to be my wife.”

Kirana just laughed and shook her head.

“Goodnight Steven,” he said after being outside the car and bending his body until his face was right outside the window. “Be careful on the road.”

Steven just smiled as he nodded. He did not wait for Kirana to enter as usual. His heart was a little messed up by Kirana's words about the trap that made him plant his seed in Shera's womb.

Steven's memory floated up to a meeting with his high school friends about three years ago. Shera was there that night.

The next morning Steven woke up in a hotel room but he was still wearing trousers, although his shirt and shirt were no longer attached to his body. When he asked some of the male friends who were present that night, they said Steven was drunk. Shera and Gaby, their high school friends, take Steven home. But they were taken where they didn't know either.

Steven himself forgot to ask Shera because of the busy schedule of his koas in the hospital and Shera himself was busy with the preparation of his marriage with Sebastian.

And if pulled back with Raven's current pregnancy and age, it's all very possible. But didn't Shera already accept Sebastian's proposal and they were preparing for the happy day ?

Steven hit the steering wheel while shouting in the car. He hoped that his heart would be calmer because he could spend time with Kirana. But tonight, his mind just got messed up by Kirana's request.
