Chapter 78 DNA Test

In accordance with the invitation of daddy Richard, nine o'clock in the morning already gathered Uncle Raymond and Auntie Rosa, Aunt Mira and Om Herman brought Raven and her babysitter, and of course Richard Pratama's family.

Unexpectedly, today Steven did not come alone, but also brought Kirana who initially refused to attend because she felt uninvited by father Richard.

Of course, his presence this morning has received approval from Sebastian who acts as if he does not care about the presence of Kirana. Daddy Richard and mommy Amelia were surprised to see Steven walk into the meeting room with Kirana. Another with Auntie Rosa who was not only surprised but also upset to see her son bring the girl he hated.

Shera who had been asked to attend by Aunt Mira apparently chose not to come, especially he already knew that the morning meeting wanted to discuss the issue of DNA test requests Steven and Raven.

Shera had a smile when Steven chose to take Kirana and not her who was legally the birth mother of Raven. He wanted to prevent his parents from bringing his son to the meeting this morning, but the pain was greater than his love for Raven, he let the two-year-old discover who his biological father was.

It all lies with Shera herself. But because up until now, Shera did not want to reveal who her son's biological father was, so we, me and Sebastian, took the initiative to find out through DNA tests, he said,” said daddy Richard while looking one by one who was present there.

“Then what does this have to do with our child ?” ask Auntie Rosa in a sniffy tone.

“There were a few conjectures linking Steven to Raven, so we agreed and on Steven's own willingness, to do DNA tests from Steven and Raven.” samples

“Cannot !” Auntie Rosa stood up while pounding the table. “There is no way Steven would do such a dirty thing to his cousin's future wife. You should all be able to present Shera right now, and hear her confession directly.”

“But Shera still does not want to tell who is Steven's biological father, Madam,” said Om Herman in a soft voice. “Even we have persuaded and advised him to attend this morning and speak frankly before the Lord and Madam all.”

“Then Shera must be sure that Steven is not the one who impregnates him,” said Auntie Rosa with a red face because she held back anger.

“There is no harm in doing a DNA test, Rosa,” said daddy Richard. “Wouldn't it be better if Steven could prove it legally about the truth.”

Uncle Raymond who just knew the topic of the problem discussed today saw several sighs, let alone see the reaction of his wife who was full of emotion.

“I agree with the proposal from Richard and Sebastian,” Uncle Raymond finally open the sound. “And you're Steven,” he turned to look at his son. “There is no reason for you to reject it. Whatever the DNA test results won't hurt you.”

“Why should agree to that crazy request, Pa !” auntie Rosa protested while looking at her husband with a frown.

Uncle Raymond remained silent and still stared intently at Steven.

“I don't mind, Pa. Uncle Richard's. But according to my conversation with Kirana, I will put forward the requirements before running this DNA test,” Steven said with a cynical smile staring Sebastian.

Kirana's husband-to-be still shows his relaxed attitude even though his heart rumbles to see the prideful attitude shown by Steven. Especially at this time, Kirana deliberately sat next to Steven in a position that is quite close. Although Kirana behaves normally while taking Raven to play, Sebastian is unable to resist being jealous.

“If Raven is not my son, then I will marry Kirana,” Steven said with a smile.

“Mama disagree !” auntie Rosa protesting standing next to Uncle Raymond. “Until any time Mama will not approve your marriage with that woman !”

Sebastian clenched both his hands under the table looking at the arrogance of Auntie Rosa who was reluctant to mention Kirana's name with her mouth.

Mommy Amelia was just as emotional, but she was still trying to hold her back so that everything could be resolved by bailk.

“With or without Mama's consent, I will marry Kirana,” Steven said with a soft laugh.

“And that means Sebastian has to let go of Kirana to be my wife. Isn't that Bas ?” steven asked with a mocking smile looking at his cousin.

Sebastian simply replied with a cynical smile.

“With or without my consent you guys stayed in touch all this time, right ? Even more intense when I was busy with my work ?” sahut Sebastian with a cynical face while looking at Steven and Kirana alternately.

Despite knowing that all this is a charade, Kirana cannot lie to her who feels pain because she has to be in this condition.

Aunty Mira and Om Herman were more silent listening to the conversation in front of them, as well as daddy Rcihard and mommy Amelia who had been both spectators and observers since.

“Then what if the DNA test results prove that Raven is your son ?” uncle Raymond asked as he looked at Steven.

His heart was slightly pinched at the arrogance that Steven was showing at the moment. He regretted being too busy with the hospital and his job as a doctor, to spend less time accompanying Steven. As a result, Uncle Raymond saw so many of Steven's traits that were similar to his wife's.

“I will certify Raven's status as my son but not marry Shera as my wife,” Steven replied steadily.

“I will still marry Kirana and only she will be my wife,” continued Steven while staring cynically at Sebastian .

Mommy Amelia looked dumbfounded at the words of her nephew.

Daddy Richard touched his wife's fingers to calm her down and rubbed Amelia's mommy's back to make her calmer.

“It looks like Auntie instantly caught my point ,” Steven said with a cocky smile.

“But I don't want !” Kirana opened her voice in a normal tone but full of decisiveness. “Whatever the DNA test results will be, I will not be willing to marry Steven.”

Aunt Mira immediately took over Raven to move into her lap so that Kirana could speak more freely.

“Can't Nana, you promised !” steven protested in an emotional tone.

“I never made any promises to you, Steve. All that was just your words as a condition of granting my request about the DNA test,” Kirana smiled looking at Steven who was getting emotional.

Steven pulled the phone out of his pants pocket making Kirana laugh slowly while shaking her head.

“Don't embarrass yourself in front of a lot of people, Steve. I am a person who always learns from past experiences and mistakes. So not only do you have the recording, but I'm the same. And here Mr. Richard has brought in two jurists, there is even Om Herman as well.  If you want, we can both provide proof.”

“Then I won't do a DNA test,” grumpily Steve while clenching both his hands. “I'm willing to do all this for you Kirana. FOR YOU !” snapped Steven while pointing at Kirana.

Sebastian, who was unable to hold back his emotions, walked around the table and approached Steven. He grabbed both collars of Steven's shirt.

“Although I am currently considering my relationship with Kirana, it does not mean that you can carelessly treat her. Because as long as there is no agreement between our families to cancel this marriage, Kirana is still my future wife. UNDERSTAND !” Sebastian replied with a snap in front of Steven's face at the end of his speech.

Sebastian takes off his grip and approaches Kirana. He pulled the girl's arm until Kirana woke up and staggered slightly, but Sebastian swiftly held her back. He brought Kirana to move seats opposite Steven and next to Amelia's mommy.

“Then today's meeting is useless,” Steven said with a cynical smile.

“I won't run any tests and won't admit this kid,” Steven pointed to a frightened looking Raven hugging Aunt Mira. “I will not admit this child as my flesh and blood.”

Without anyone expecting it, Uncle Raymond got up and kicked the table very hard. Even the heart specialist's face looked flushed and looked at Steven with a gaze full of anger.

Steven was surprised to see his reaction. During his twenty-five years as father Raymond's son, he had never seen his father angry with this condition.

“With or without your consent, you should do a DNA test with the child,” Uncle Raymond stared at Raven at a glance. “This command is no longer an option !”

“But Pa...” protested Auntie Rosa, while Steven was still unmoved in her place.

“If you refuse it, please get out of this hospital even from your parents' house. Papa will ask that your specialist practice license be revoked and work to your own ability.”

“Why is this all Steven's fault, Pa ?” steven protested but no longer in a high voice.

“You are a pediatrician, whose life is close to children. How can you carry out such a profession while you refuse to acknowledge a child who may be your biological child and defy your responsibilities as a father ?”

Steven was sitting limp on his stool while cupping his face with both palms.

“Do all the procedures that are supposed to be done, Chard,” Uncle Raymond said as he looked at his younger sibling sitting right opposite him.

Daddy Richard nodded and spoke to the two lawyers who were deliberately presented there.

Auntie Rosa was seen sitting lethargic in her chair with a sad face. During their marriage, only this time Auntie Rosa saw Uncle Raymond angry like that. Even at the beginning of their marriage, Uncle Raymond never did anything like this.

“Wait,” say mommy Amelia stopped daddy Richard who was talking to Uncle Raymond and the two lawyers.

“As long as the DNA test results come out, to be fair, neither Sebastian nor Steven can get close to Kirana,”.

“Then what about our wedding preparations, Mom ?” sebastian protest.

“No need Amelia,” says Uncle Raymond. “Whatever the results of Steven and Raven's DNA test, it won't change the situation if Kirana is Sebastian's future wife. Just continue their wedding preparations if it has been decided by the family.”

“But Pa..” protest Steven.

“This time papa made Steven's decision. This problem is still the responsibility of papa as a parent who should be able to educate you better.”

Uncle Raymond signaled to his sister to continue the DNA test process.

Steven looked lethargic sitting in his chair with his face down. Sebastian breathed a sigh of relief while clasping Kirana's fingers under the table.

The two looked at each other with a fluffy smile and a face that looked relieved because Steven's problem could be resolved.
