Chapter 18 Wrong People

Kirana walked out of the crowd. There was a sense of tightness in his heart. Meeting Aunty Rosa again is like tearing old wounds until they bleed again.

His steps led to the backyard of Mr. Richard's family home. His mouth again clucked in admiration at the surrounding situation. A beautiful garden with a swimming pool that is not so big, then there is a gazebo in the right corner, fruit trees and flower plants. Closer to the kitchen door was some kind of restroom for nothing.

Kirana continued her steps towards the swimming pool. The bluish ripples of water seemed to ask to be approached, but unfortunately Kirana could not swim. Even this girl was traumatized by the water because she almost drowned when she fell in the river near her grandparents' house while on vacation there. Luckily, there were people passing by after fishing nearby.

“Still afraid of Nana water ?” the voice shocked him and shattered his past memories.

“Of course ! Still a little,” Kirana laughed softly without turning her body. Only one man called her name Nana.

“Why do you always avoid me ?” shirih Steven got closer to Kirana, even his breath felt on Kirana's neck.

The girl took a few steps forward before turning her body, facing off against Steven.

“How many times have I told Steve I didn't avoid you. I moved because I joined papa, and I returned to Jakarta also because I joined papa.”

Kirana took a deep breath after speaking quite long and a bit of emotion.

“Then why did you cut off communication with me ?” Steven began to raise his tone.

“Handphoneku is broken and not replaced new.”

“Why so easy to lie ?”

“Who lied ?” kirana said with a bitter smile. “I'm not you who easily buy new items if the old one is already broken.”

“Nana ! Why even bouncy about the material.”

Kirana smiled with a forced smile.

“I do not have any debt with you until sought after right?” Kirana tried to talk casually.

“Not debt but lost,” ketus Steven.

“Maling ?” Kirana frowned. Emotions that have fallen suddenly rise again.

Kirana approached Steven and pushed the man's shoulder.

“I may not be able to, but there is not even one I steal people's property just for my satisfaction alone !”

Steven laughed and grabbed Kirana's fingers.

“Who said you were buying stuff ?” Steven brought his face closer to Kirana who was only as she should be.

“You are the thief of my heart,” Steven spoke softly half whispered. Kirana's fingers carried her to her chest.

“You've been making this heart beat unbecoming since I was in class 2 SMP.”

“Any,” grumbled Kirana while smiling mockingly.

“Any ? A guy likes a girl spelled out weird ?” Steven frowned.

“Of course it's weird. Grade 8 children love the same grade 4 Elementary School children,” Kirana sneered.

“Out of her adorable SD kid. Be fierce and tomboyish but his heart is like an angel.”

“Lebay, alay…. Make me instantly want to vomit,” Kirana thaws.

Steven laughed and ruffled Kirana's hair making the girl snatch. Kirana tried to let go of her hand and move away from Steven, but the man was clutching her even tighter.

“Don't hold my hair. Not enough one hour to prepare it,” Kirana's nagging with an annoyed face.

“Let me pay again to salon.”

“Ogah !”

“You haven't answered my question. Why did you avoid me when you met ? Even pretended not to know me.”

“I told you already, doctor Steven Pratama !” Kirana nodded with an anxious face. “I am his future wife Sebastian, it is appropriate that I take care of my future husband's heart.”

“Surely Sebastian really asked you to be his future wife for love ?” ledek Steven with a mocking smile.

“That's my business with Sebastian.”

Kirana clasped her hand until it finally slipped out of Steven's grasp.

“I want to go back inside,”

Kirana was about to pass Steven to get back inside the house. The man held his arm while Kirana was by his side.

“Sebastian still loves Shera very much. She is her first love and will probably be her last love as well.”

Kirana jerks. His heart felt pinched back.

“Shera her past, and I her future,” Kirana replied confidently while looking at Steven.

Stupid ! Stupid ! So confident of you, Ki ! Kirana cursed herself in her heart

“Didn't you get to see how Sebastian looks when he meets his ex-wife again?”

Kirana laughed softly. He tried to make his voice sound mediocre.

“You're weird Steve ! I was nowhere near where I might have seen the eyes of my future husband. But I'm sure that his gaze is because of his surprise, not love,” replied Kirana while laughing softly.

“I think you misinterpreted, Steve. Is your profession a psychiatrist until the master assesses people's behavior?” ledek Kirana's.

“Leave Sebastian and come back to me,” whispered Steven in Kirana's ear.

Their position was close enough that it was easy for Steven to speak in Kirana's ears.

Steven let go of his check and held both of Kirana's shoulders face to face with him.

“I love you Kirana, since long ago until now. You are the daughter who has always filled my heart from childhood until now. Leave Sebastian and be my life partner.”

Kirana looked up at Steven who was looking at her with a sad face. He was silent for a moment. It's not because of the dilemma to choose between Steven or Sebastian.

Kirana looked the other way. It was uncomfortable to look at Steven with a sad face like this. Somehow have to explain, since long ago until now Kirana has no more feelings for Steven. Steven was a friend to him.

What is this karma for him is for having rejected Steven's love and now Kirana feels Steven's position for being ignored by Sebastian.

“Steve..

Kirana did not continue her sentence because Steven had already covered Kirana's mouth with his index finger.

“I'll give you time to have a good talk with Sebastian. Just like before, I will faithfully wait for you.”

“Not so Steve,” protest Kirana fast. “Don't wait for me.”

Steven just laughed and rubbed Kirana's cheeks gently.

“I wait until you are aware of your own feelings.”

Kirana took a breath and threw it away violently. It should be how to explain to Steven that Kirana is already aware of his feelings. The name Sebastian is not Steven, although both bear the name Pratama.

“Steven !” A man called out to Steven from the balcony up nearby.

Both of them looked towards the call coming from. It was seen the man waving his hands asking Steven to approach him. Kirana immediately turned her head in the other direction because she did not know the man who called Steven.

“I go upstairs first. You are in ?”

Steven tried to grab Kirana but the girl immediately moved away.

“I still want to be here any minute.”

Steven just nodded with a smile and walked in.

Kirana walked back to the pool. He stood while staring at the water that was still moving following the wind.

“So you have the name Kirana ?” the unfamiliar voice again made him sigh.

Huufftt, Kirana sighed. Why it's like a doctor's consultation queue. Just as Steven had passed after a long talk, there was now a foreign voice speaking to him without a stale ado.

Kirana turned her body and was shocked to see that Shera was standing nearby.

“Ya I'm Kirana. Greetings to know Sister Shera.”

Kirana tried to be calm and speak in a casual tone.

Is she going to abuse me for hearing rumors that I'm her ex-husband's future wife ? Inner Kirana.

“What is your relationship with Steven ?” Without replying to Kirana's greeting, the woman in front of him asked back in a snarling voice.

Why is Steven being asked ? Not Mr Bas ? Inner Kirana

“We are old friends,” Kirana replied casually.

Shera grieved and laughed cynically.

“But it seems like your relationship is more than just friends.”

“We're little friends and always one school until Steven graduates High School. So yes it is natural that we look quite familiar.”

“You think you can lie to me ?” Shera approaching. Kirana could see the look of anger on Shera's face.

“I'm not lying,” Kirana is still trying to be relaxed.

“Basic female sok kecakepan,” said Shera with a cynical tone. “Not aware that you are exactly the Cinderella who met Mommy Amelia as your lucky fairy.”

Kirana was surprised to hear Shera's remark. His easy emotions up and down instantly jumped to level 8.

“Dear Miss Shera, do you feel rivaled because Aunt Amelia is now so good to me ? Or do you regret for canceling being the daughter-in-law of the Pratama family ?” Kirana approached and spoke in a cynical tone.

“You...” Shera already hung her hands in the air but Kirana swiftly held her back.

“I don't like my face being touched in a rough way.”

“You think you deserve to be contested by Sebastian and Steven !” Snappy Shera with emotion.

“I never put myself to be anyone's snatch. If that's what you see, I'm really flattered. But if you think of me as a rival, it is definitely Miss wrong person.”

Kirana deliberately passed Shera while nudging the woman's shoulder.

“Sway Steven ! Don't try to tease her again ! Won't you marry Sebastian ?” Shera exclaimed as Kirana was already two steps away from him.

Kirana stop. His heart was filled with question marks. Why has Shera been talking about Steven and not Sebastian ?

Kirana turned around and approached Shera back with a cynical smile.

“It wasn't me who approached Steven, but the man didn't want to get away from me and kept getting closer. It's even like a shadow that follows me wherever I go.”

Kirana deliberately uttered that sentence to provoke Shera's emotions. He just wanted to prove his point a little.

”Cannot !” Shera raised her tone. Her heart grew hotter seeing Kirana just smile, as if it was a mockery for her.

Shera clasped Kirana's wrist tightly and the girl tried to let go.

“Never will I let !” threaten Shera's.

Pull pulling the two women herding them closer towards the pool. And Kirana's efforts to escape from Shera even made her fall into the pool.

The sound of objects entering the pool made Steven who had just arrived at the upper balcony turn towards the pool. His eyes immediately widened to see Kirana's hand flailing.

The glued Shera standing by the pool was silent in surprise.

“Please Kirana ! He can't swim !” Shouted Steven from above the balcony.
