I HATE YOU, BUT

I HATE YOU, BUT
#10

“I'm at the airport, I'll be back to Jakarta in an hour. As for my news, I'm fine. At least Japan made my mood slightly improve.”

“Sgratitude.”

“How's your wedding? Of course you're happy with your husband, aren't you?”

Alena's stunned. Happy with husband? It's just an empty statement. But it was not spoken by his lips. Finally he just said,

“Of course. Next time you have to meet my husband.”

How could he utter such an irresponsible sentence? Davian meets his ex-girlfriend.

“Alright, I can't wait to see it.” That was Malvin's last sentence before they closed the conversation. At least something made him happy today. He thought that happiness would last a long time. But his prejudice was gone when he saw Jeane coming out of the elevator as the elevator door opened.

“Oh, mistress Fernandez,” Jeane said in a satirical tone. Alena tries to stay friendly even though she is reluctant to respond to Jeane.

“Are you here to visit your husband?” Alena smiled, though,

“Is there anything else besides that? Of course not. Then excuse me,” her feet have already stepped past Jeane. about to press the elevator button when she heard the girl's voice again.

“Davian doesn't love you, why don't you just leave it?”

Alena's round eyes widened. His hand which is now attached to the button ‘open’ vibrating elevator. He turned his head around to look at Jeane, who was now smiling, mocking him. Patience, patience, patience.

“No need to think about how the household life of others, Jeane. Me and Davian can deal with our problems without having to intervene from you,” Alena replied with a smile on her lips, inversely proportional to her heart that trembled in fear. Jeane was shocked. He could not believe that Alena would chimed in on his words. She had already opened her mouth to reply, but Alena interrupted first with her sentence.

“I wonder what you have in mind. Aren't you a woman too? Of course you know what it's like when the man you love loves loves another woman?” Alena began to tuck a little emotion into her tone. He immediately took a breath and exhaled several times to normalize the turmoil of his heart.

Tears almost spread in the eye, so Alena turned her body to press the elevator button again when Jeane again interrupted her body movements.

“You know where Davian went when you fought the other day?” Jeane said with a loud tone. Alena pegged in place, she did not dare to turn the body. Her ears were afraid to hear what Jeane was going to say. Jeane smiled cunningly at Alena's stiffness,

“Davian came to my place. And you know what we do?” he paused for a moment to see Alena's reaction. The girl gasped then faced Jeane with both eyes frowning in fear, confusion, anger, and curiosity.

“We sleep together.”

Like lightning striking directly from the sky, Alena was surprised instead of playing. His entire body was like being dropped from the 30th floor and fell directly onto the ground violently.

“We slept together,” Jeane repeated it and felt very satisfied because it managed to make Alena in heavy shock.

“You de—“

Platkk!!!

Jeane held her cheek reflexively as the stinging pain ran down her cheek. A few seconds before she finished her sentence, Alena's hand floated. His originally white cheeks were now slightly reddened. He looked at Alena. How dare this girl. He wanted to hide, really. It was just that Alena's current expression forced her to swallow back her sentence.

“For whatever reason, I know you love each other. But, should you tell me? Should I know?!” saying in a choked voice, Melt of tears began to adorn Alena's cheeks. His round eyes were reddened and his lips were trembling. His heart was wounded, very. As he said, he knew Davian and Jeane loved each other. But, but, should he hear that?

As soon as the clink of the elevator rang out and the door opened, Alena immediately turned around and entered the elevator, without looking at Jeane again.

All the way home, Alena was crying. He did not even care that there were more than five cars that honked a warning horn at him for driving at high speed. I don't know how much he's received, he doesn't care. Just by speeding like this, he could dampen a bit of his cry that burst out like waves breaking a reef.

Jeane's words seemed to confirm everything. Now he realized that his feelings were mere nonsense. Like a pencil with no sharpener. It won't be useful at all. He had to forget his feelings for Davian. That man did not love her. Should he choose the divorce path?
