I HATE YOU, BUT

I HATE YOU, BUT
#44

“I'm not hiding anything!!” shout Alena. Davian was surprised to see his wife looked so tormented. Like someone who carries a heavy burden alone.

“I will definitely tell you about it but not at this time. So please.” Alena clenched her hands together in front of her chest, just like the one who asked for a wish.

“Please don't force me to tell you a story before I'm ready.” Davian is not easy to tear. The more Alena asks Davian to stop forcing her to tell stories, the more her suspicions increase.

“Why can't I know? Give me a reasonable reason why I shouldn't ask you to tell me a story?! What do you think I am? I'm your husband, Alena. I deserve to know anything about your problems. Maybe I can help you find a solution to that problem.” Alena shook her head quickly, she turned her back to Davian.

“You won't be able to help me solve this problem.” Mumbles weakly. Yes, Davian will not be able to provide a solution to the problem with Malvin because he has nothing to do with it at all.

Davian nodded firmly, now he understood more and more why Alena continues to act strange lately.

“I know, you do still love Malvin.” he murmured. He turned away after feeling that there was no point in arguing with Alena anymore.

Alena turned her head quickly towards Davian who grabbed her coat and walked towards the door. The picture of Davian leaving with a face full of anger gushed back. The dark memories of the beginning of her marriage as a shadow again obscured Alena's view. He blinked his eyes many times and realized his world was beginning to twitch.

“Davian.” Alena was actually shouting loudly. But what came out of his mouth was a very small word. His head exploded and a few seconds later he fell unconscious.

•••

Alena woke up after her nose smelled a pungent smell of medicine. His eyes were squinting scanning where he was right now. Apparently a hospital room. He held his pulsating head. He vaguely remembered the incident before he fainted. He shouted at Davian who was walking away and after that his gaze darkened.

“You're aware?”

His gaze now shifted to the figure of Davian who entered the room. Her face implied a tremendous relief seeing Alena was already humanized. He pulled the chair next to the bed and checked Alena's temperature. Thank goodness the temperature is back to normal.

“Davian, sorry.” Alena muttered when she realized that they were fighting when she fainted. He was wrong to not be honest with Davian. It was unexpected that Davian actually held his hand with sparkling eyes.

“You, cunning girl. Always knew how to make me stop being mad at you.” he said, shaking his head.

“What does it mean?” Alena doesn't understand what Davian means. He only knows one thing, Davian is not angry with him anymore.

“Thank you for giving me the little angel, Alena,” muttered and then looked straight at Alena.

“You're pregnant, baby.”

Whahuh? alena's eyes widened in surprise hearing that.

The joy that Alena had never felt before now overflowed like a spring that found its way out. All happiness can not be dammed anymore, even to make Alena shed tears haru. Her gaze fell on her husband who smiled meaningfully, without any cues she immediately rushed to hug Davian even though his body was still weak and powerless.

“I will be a mother.I can't believe this.” she whispered in a vibrating voice mixed with sobs. Davian smiled knot. With a slow movement her hand returned Alena's embrace.

“This is not a dream, believe me.”

Davian asked Alena to rest after her harrowing cry subsided. He held the blanket up to shoulder level so that Alena would not get cold. In silence Alena responded to everything Davian did with mixed feelings. He was happy, but on the other hand he felt guilty. Something had been hidden from her husband all this time and that was the reason why they were fighting. Alena should explain everything now. The time has come for Davian to know the secret between himself and Malvin.

“Davian...” call Alena with her hoarse voice. Davian turned his head, with a quick movement he walked over to his wife. He thinks Alena might need something.

“There's anything you need? Just say.”

Alena shakes. He reached out to pull Davian to sit on the chair next to his bed. Davian. He stared fixedly at his wife while tightly grasping Alena's weak hand.

“There's something I want to tell you,” said Alena slowly. Davian blinked his eyes many times. Suddenly he remembered the reason why they had quarreled. Is it possible that Alena will tell you something about that? The real story that happened at the hospital? Davian's guess is true because the next word that was said from Alena's lips made her body freeze.

“This is a secret about me and Malvin.”.
