Davian stood still in his place, staring sadly at the figure of the crying girl in front of his father's belly button. The corner of his heart trembled in pain. He cannot see this situation. He is not willing. In his ears, it resounded clearly the words spoken by his mother.

“When her father is dying, Alena would rather take care of you. You know, he was so worried about you that he put his own father's business aside. Alena loves you very much. You should treat him well. He's a very devoted son. You won't find a girl like her anywhere else.”

“Why don't you just go Alena?! Why don't you leave me and go see your father's face for the last time?” davian protested as soon as he knew it. Alena just looked down sad with tears getting louder. Not a word was said from his mouth.

Davian knew he shouldn't have vented his emotions on Alena. It's just that he didn't think it out. Isn't what he's been doing all this time because of his father? He even married for his father. Then why was it that when the last meeting came, Alena chose to stay by his side?

“Sorry.” In a heart-wrenching voice, Alena apologized.

“This is not the time to apologize, see now you must be sorry. You're sorry your dad—“ Davian stopped saying and sighed seeing Alena getting worse. He pulled Alena into his arms. She could no longer see Alena crying. The feeling of tightness after losing an important person could not just disappear and all Alena needed now was a pedestal. Alena needs someone to lean on. And Davian knows that's his job now.

Now, after the funeral was over Davian accompanied Alena who remained silent in front of her father's altar. No more tears. But the sad expression remained there. Davian brought a cup of tea to Alena because he saw her face start to pale.

“Minum. After this we go to eat,” take Davian. in fact, seeing the state of Alena now he feels very guilty. Had she not been sick, Alena might still have seen her father one last time.

Alena just shook her head. He had not even said a word since the funeral procession this morning. Davian felt Alena sulking at him. Did this girl secretly blame him for the death of the Father?

“Davian, this is your waffle.” Alena placed a plate of waffles with chocolate topping in front of Davian who was casually reading the morning newspaper. Secretly, Davian glanced at all sorts of activities of Alena to make sure the girl was not grieving or anything like that.

“I heard you started working today,” Davian heard it yesterday from her mother-in-law. Alena will continue her father's company. It was impossible to charge that task to Davian who was also busy taking care of his family company.

“Iya. Today I officially replace Father,” Alena sip her tea. He realized since then Davian continued to look at him fully inquiring. He slowly put down his tea cup and asked curiously.

“Why do you see me like that? Really, I'm fine,” explained Alena sure. Davian folded the newspaper in his hand and then kept it on the table. Because now Alena's attention is on him, he will not hesitate to ask again.

“Are you mad at me?” ask her in a low voice and a serious face. Alena nodded in surprise.

“Why should I be angry?”

“Or, you secretly blame me?” now Davian's voice sounded sad, like carrying a heavy burden.

Alena frowned confusedly. What exactly does Davian mean? He doesn't understand a thing.
