I HATE YOU, BUT

I HATE YOU, BUT
#23

Alena blinked her eyes several times to make sure she wasn't dreaming. And it seems to be true, the figure standing before him was Malvin. The ex-lover who got rid of in Alena's life. He forced his lips to move even though it was very difficult.

“How are you?” Alena found the voice coming out of her throat so slow and now she tried her hardest to smile.

Malvin returned Alena's forced smile. He walked a step closer to Alena. His hands were eager to move around embracing the girl he so adored. Covering the slender body of the girl with warmth from the circle of her hands. But once again the reality made him slam back to earth with a bang. The fact that the girl he missed so much was no longer his. It's not his right anymore. It means he belongs to another man. Throat's choked.

“I'm fine. How are you?”

“I'm also fine,” Alena blinked to realize the files she was holding were scattered on the sidewalk. God, Davian can go berserk when he sees a file that is more important than a billion dollars is dirty a little. then he quickly re-cleanses the files. Malvin squatted down to help her.

Alena accidentally touched Malvin's hand when she was about to grab one of the files. He flinched and hurriedly pulled his hand.

“Sorry,”

“Tak what. You work?” Malvin asked because he found financial statements among the files. They stood up again after taking all the files.

“Iya. But this file belongs to my husband.” As Malvin's nose changed, his jaw seemed to harden.

“You work in place of your father?” This time Alena's expression turned even more tense. He forgot, of course Malvin did not know about his father's death.

“My father, he's dead,”.

Deg.

Why did Malvin realize his heart was shaken when he heard Alena's father die? Maybe because he felt guilty because indirectly, he became a source of trouble for the Alena family. And he hasn't apologized.

“Sorry, I don't know.” Malvin said as they sat face to face in one of the cafes where they used to date.

“No problem. You weren't here when Dad died,” Malvin smiled,

“You really are a filial son. Some children may run away from responsibility when they have to carry out heavy tasks at a very young age,” he said amazed. Alena is a very rare girl.

“I have no other choice. I don't have a son who can continue the business. Although the rights of the successor of the company have not been fully handed over to me, I took over Dad's job for a while.”

“You can ask for my help. If your husband is too busy to help you, you can come to me whenever you ask. I'd be happy to extend my hand.” Alena fell silent, her mind clouded as Malvin began to offend Davian. Realizing Alena's residence, Malvin begins to assume various things.

“Are you happy?” ask in a low voice. Alena raised her head with a flabbergasted face. Does he seem unhappy?

“Didn't you promise to be happy while living with him? I'll only give up your marriage if you can be happy with your husband,”

“Many problems lately,” revealed Alena after a moment of silence. Yes, he does need a conversation partner and the only one he trusts is Malvin. He could not share any story with anyone else even if it was his mother.
