Upon arrival at home, Davian ate the lunch Alena had made for him. The girl made back her favorite menu. Now his attention returned to Alena who was sitting pensively opposite him. He wondered what the girl was thinking. Ever since her father-in-law mentioned ‘man it’, Alena's expression started to change.
“Who does your Dad mean by ‘that guy’?”
Alena raised her head, with surprise she looked at the seemingly unconcerned Davian. Contrary to the content of his curious half-dead heart.
“Nobody.” Alena looked back at her half-empty dinner plate.
“It looks like ‘man it’ is so important to you.”
“Not really.” Davian clucked, exasperated.
“Seeing from your expression, it seems like my assumption is correct. Is that guy your ex-lover?” a little regret struck Davian when he realized Alena grasped tightly his spoon shortly after he said the word ‘former lover’.
“Oh, do you still love her to this day? Cih, really poor guy. Her boyfriend prefers other men over her.” Syndir Davian was satisfied.
The girl snarled. “Malvin is not the same as Jeane. At least he knew enough of himself to back out of my life after I said I was getting married.” His heart was like a flame hearing Davian's words. He was reminded of how unfortunate he was that Davian did not leave Jeane even though he was married.
This time Davian was provoked by the emotion of Alena's speech.
“Why did you bring Jeane?” he put his chopsticks hard on the table.
“I don't know. But the girl should know that you're married to me. There is no right for him to interfere in your affairs anymore.” Alena said with emotion even though her manner of speech still sounded smooth.
“Hak?” Davian raised his eyebrows sideways, then sneered.
“You're talking about rights with me?” he looked at Alena with emotion.
"YOU DON'T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT WHAT A RIGHT IS!!!!!!!” Davian suddenly shouted, sweeping all the dishes and glasses on the table until they fell and shattered on the floor. It made Alena shocked until her heart almost came out of her throat. He's strangling stifled. His eyes were almost in disbelief as he now saw Davian looking at him with fiery eyes, like an already angry Wolf and displaying its sharp fangs.
“Since childhood my rights have been taken away by my own parents!! Have they ever asked me what I want or what I want? NAY!! Did they ever give me the right to choose any girl to marry? NAY!! And did you know that my parents never treated Jeane well even though she tried her hardest to convince both of my parents? NO!!! We've committed to love each other, and get married but all my dreams are ruined because of your arrival and now you're talking about rights?” Davian took a breath at the end of his shout.
Alena could not say anything because she saw the misfortune, sadness, despair, and heartache clearly on Davian's face. He was sure the words Davian had just spoken were the deepest of his heart. He always saw Davian as carrying such a heavy burden. Apparently this was the reason why he always found a tired look from the look of Davian's eyes.
His eyes are back in the fog. To avoid Davian's eyes, he got up and knelt down to clean up the shards of shard strewn across the floor. Davian got up and looked at Alena with hatred.
“I hate you, Alena Kezia.” Said and left.
Alena widened her eyes, surprised by Davian's words just now. His hand shook as he cleared up the shards of the shard. His ears catch the sound of a door slam and he believes Davian is leaving their apartment. Finally, the tears he held with all his might spilled. He doesn't know if it feels like this when he finds out he's marrying a man who doesn't love him. His heart shattered, like shards of shard strewn around him.
He just did not know, that this second, he realized he had fallen in love with Davian Fernandez.
