Eps. 179 — End of Battle
All attention was immediately drawn to the sky, both the academy attendants and the beast race troops were shocked to see a firebird flying through the air.
Douma with a high flying speed could easily eliminate his opponents in a single burst of fire, almost half of the eagle humans that were above the sky had already disappeared and turned into dust.
"Isn't that a Phoenix, how is he here?"
"No way, it shouldn't be real, I can't believe it's a real Phoenix?"
The battle in an instant instantly came to a halt, all eyes fixed on Douma who continued to burn his opponents in the sky.
No matter the eagle man flying at high speed in the air, they were all still dead by the fire bird.
Within minutes the army of eagle-man that filled the air had vanished completely, Douma's green flames were so terrifying that the eagle-man who was hit by the fire did not have time to exhale before he suddenly disappeared into dust.
After all the eagle man troops had been finished off by him, Douma immediately targeted the army of beast men on land.
Not only the troops of the beast race but the soldiers of the Sun Empire were also targeted by him.
The strength Douma showed made all who saw him look at her in horror including on the side of the academy attendants. It took them some time to realize Douma's target was his enemy's army.
Douma seemed unconcerned by the shattered buildings his massive body passed through, the Phoenix Bird immediately spouted fire back, burning the ground as well as an army of human beasts.
"You all go to the academy hall, Chairman Xiong has already given instructions for the disciples and officers to gather there immediately!" Exclaimed Elder Ling loudly.
Only the Elders knew the secret of Douma's existence in the academy, they already knew Douma's strength and they were sure, this Academy would likely be destroyed by the power of the Phoenix Bird.
The sound of bells ringing above the tower, the officers and students of the academy did not have time to see Douma's action, they quickly went to a safer place.
On the other hand, the army of the beast race and the warriors of the Sun Empire were already indifferent to this attacker, what their brains were thinking about now was to run as fast as they could.
Seeing their comrades die without a fight made the opposing forces so frightened.
They tried to escape but their efforts felt futile because Douma moved in the air, the eagle man who flew alone could be easily chased by the Phoenix bird let alone those on land.
"You want to run away, don't dream!" Douma snorted in annoyance, starting to increase his fire attacks to an even greater degree.
The souls killed by the green flames of Douma began to gather and be absorbed by the Phoenix Bird, which gradually made it even stronger.
Douma does already have a high strength now but it has not reached his maximum strength yet.
Besides being unable to go anywhere due to the seal that locked him up, Douma's strength had also been sealed to a certain stage. Douma takes the soul he killed to recover its power as it once did.
Quickly the flow of the battle changed, if initially the troops of the beast race were in a favorable position now the situation was reversed with those being chased.
The army of the beast race humans and the Sun Empire soldiers started running away from the Academy. In a short period of time, all the enemy troops had already left the battle area.
Douma was indeed quick to finish off his opponents but because of their large numbers so he could not kill them all.
Douma did not pursue them any further when it felt that the power he had gathered felt sufficient.
"I only promised to help save the academy, their business still alive is none of my business..." Douma looked at the enemy troops that were starting to leave, after which he flapped his wings and began to fly up into the high sky.
Not long after Douma was out of sight, the Phoenix Bird left the Academy mountains at the speed of light.

In the early days of Douma's appearance, the five squad leaders and Liu Zhangyang were already aware earlier than his troops.
They were certainly surprised by the appearance of the Phoenix Bird let alone looking like Douma was on the academy's side.
"Academy turned out to nurture monsters like this, I didn't expect?!"
Lizi Ao until stunned to see the firebird was especially the strength he showed, seeing his army die with such a short time made him realize that they were not the firebird's opponent.
"Why silence? If you want to continue this fight I can still serve you until the end!" Guan Ning tried to smile despite the current injuries filling his body.
Guan Ning was also surprised by Douma's appearance but his attention remained on his two opponents. Fighting two squad leaders simultaneously made him a less advantaged position especially after sustaining injuries.
Lizi Ao looked at Guan Ning coldly before taking Shang Hai by her side to leave the academy.
Lizi Ao has no way to overcome the Phoenix, he believes if the fight continues he can be the target of the firebird. Lizi Ao did not want to take any further risks, he and Shang Hai then left Guan Ning alone.
Guan Ning sighed after seeing the departure of his two opponents, if the fight continued then he could be injured more than this.
Guan Ning then sat down cross-legged before stopping the bleeding of his wounds with a deep energy. He looked around, after Lizi Ao and Shang Hai left, the other two squad leaders also went along, including Liu Zhangyang.
"You realize that after what you've done here, the Sun Empire will become an enemy to the three Empires?!" Quiusui gave a statement.
"No need to remind me, from the beginning I knew the worst risks." Liu Zhangyang smiled faintly. "I don't plan to have peace with you guys, I want war and territory."
Liu Zhangyang along with the leader of the gamma squad, Hua Sha, had already stopped fighting with Qiusui since the appearance of Douma.
Liu Zhangyang was obviously dissatisfied that it would end like this despite not revealing it directly, he was confident that he could finish off that Star Emperor if given enough time but the arrival of the Phoenix Bird interrupted his plan.
Hua Sha beside him also thought similar, if they continued the fight it would take a long time to injure let alone kill Quiusui.
"We will meet again, from this moment on the Sun Empire will declare war on the three Empires, you better prepare for my next attack..." Liu Zhangyang laughed before sheathing his sword and turning around.
"I thought you'd be disappointed that my plan now failed." Quiusui smiled cynically.
"From the beginning I didn't really expect this attack to be successful, although I must admit killing the emperors was not an easy thing to do."
After saying so, Liu Zhangyang stepped away followed by Hua Sha after. Both of them moved away the academy area.
