Eps. 73 — A Girl
Zhou Yuan finally understood the workings of the Kusanagi Sword, it would absorb its inner power if it came out of its scabbard, and vice versa when it was inside, Kusanagi's sword would stop absorbing even if Zhou Yuan held the handle.
Zhou Yuan looked at the sword for several minutes, in the king's letter he said that it should be taken by him because it could not be used by anyone but the chosen one.
Zhou Yuan was not sure if he was among the chosen people but if he was among the people who could use it, then he was the right person.
According to Zhou Yuan, Kusanagi Sword was at the Cloud-class heirloom level or even more. What is certain is that even Cloud-class heirlooms will not be able to cut through the golden pillar in a single swing like this sword did.
Although there were swords that could, at least one had to drain a large amount of profound energy to do so.
Zhou Yuan kept the sword at his waist along with the heirloom his father had given him. Zhou Yuan intended not to use the Kusanagi Sword if the situation was not urgent.

Zhou Yuan did not directly leave the dead city but rather traced every resident building around him.
It took a very long time because the city was very large and had hundreds of houses. Zhou Yuan needed more time to walk through every building.
Other than home equipment or the like, there were no treasures or precious plants that Zhou Yuan needed in increasing his strength.
"It looks like the precious item here is indeed just this sword..." Zhou Yuan sighed, there was no other choice he immediately turned around intending to leave the city.
Zhou Yuan returned to the mouth of the cave and found the day was entering midnight. Zhou Yuan thought of taking a nap before continuing his journey.

Zhou Yuan slashed at a scorpion demon that was about to sting him while he was sitting cross-legged under a tree, replenishing its inner energy.
The tens-year-old demon was not strong enough to fight Zhou Yuan so in the first slash he was instantly killed in a single strike.
Three days passed after Zhou Yuan obtained the Kusanagi Sword, he chose not to directly return with Linxia but rather move on his own.
There were several reasons he acted so but the main reason was because Zhou Yuan did not want the girl to be in danger while with him considering that he was being hunted by a group.
When his search for the plant still did not find results Zhou Yuan also took advantage of his time to hunt stealth. Take the jewel that is inside the creature.
Now in one of his leather pockets there are almost a hundred more stealth gems that he got. Zhou Yuan also took some of the resource crops he encountered for his martial development.
Zhou Yuan then took the jewel on the scorpion's stealth body and put it into a leather pouch. Zhou Yuan was intending to continue gathering his inner power back until there was a shouting sound heard from afar.
"Please, whoever's there help me!" Shouted someone hysterically.
Zhou Yuan moved quickly to the source of the voice, it didn't take long until he arrived and found a girl who was being surrounded by two hundred-year-old wolf demons.
The girl's ability would not be able to defeat the wolf so she could only scream for help with all her might.
Zhou Yuan sighed then jumped towards the wolf that was about to pounce on the girl, the wolf mouth was ready to eat the girl's body whole but before he did, a
a powerful blow to his head sent him slamming far enough.
The other wolf did not stay silent to see his friend being attacked just like that, he raised his foot intending to claw the human but Zhou Yuan had already disappeared in his sight before the claw hit him.
The wolf tried to look for Zhou Yuan's whereabouts but did not manage to find him until suddenly an invisible force hit his head, the wolf knew nothing when his gaze suddenly darkened.
Zhou Yuan then pulled out his sword before stabbing his weapon towards the wolf's heart-heart. Kill him while taking the jewels inside.
"You okay?" Zhou Yuan reached out to the girl.
Zhou Yuan's voice made the girl realize from her daydream, she was barely breathing when Zhou Yuan was able to defeat the two wolves in a very short time.
"Thank you, I owe you." The girl received Zhou Yuan's helping hand, rising from her sitting position. "I didn't expect there to be a hundred-year-old demon in this competition, I almost lost my life. You help me, once again I thank you..."
Zhou Yuan nodded softly in response, he was actually thinking of another thing regarding the two wolf demons earlier, this was not the first time he had met a hundred year old demon in the bamboo mountain.
Zhou Yuan's only guess regarding the incident was that these demons were related to the hooded group, as they had previously fished the iron boar to enter this competition area.
"Where is your group, why are you here alone?" Zhou Yuan looked around, there was no one there except the girl.
"Ah, I lost them while I was in charge of gathering twigs, for too frantically meeting the wolves I parted ways with them."
Zhou Yuan raised his eyebrows, "Do you know where your group is now?"
The girl nodded. "I know, they're setting up a tent somewhere just to get there pretty far, I'm worried about meeting you..." The girl bit her lips and did not continue her words.
Zhou Yuan understood the girl's concern, "I'll go with you, there are things I should ask your group..."
