Eps. 275 — Robbery Attack
Han Xiang then took his daughter into the house and met her mother, she was sitting on the bed, her physical condition deteriorated and her body was very thin like a bone wrapped in skin.
"Mother..." Han Lilis immediately ran over and hugged her mother.
"Lilis, you're back..." Her mother smiled gently and stroked her teenage daughter.
"How is Mom's condition now, it's improving? I've brought a lot of medicine for Mom."
Lan Nara, Han Lilis' mother smiled, "Mother's condition is healthier than before, it may soon be cured..."
Han Lilis became even more excited, Of course Lan Nara's statement was far from the truth, instead of improving her condition actually getting worse but because she did not want her daughter to be anxious so she lied.
Han Xiang held back his tears that were about to come out, he could not help but feel the sadness of seeing his daughter who was so excited and cheerful that she would lose her mother soon.
Han Lilis then asked for permission to go to clean her body, now the remaining ones in the room were Lan Nara and Han Xiang.
"Are you crying my husband?" Lan Nara looked at her husband warmly.
Han Xiang approached then kissed his wife's forehead long enough, "I'm sorry I can't heal you, I'm a bad husband..."
"You don't have to blame anyone, I understand you've been working hard for the last few months, I love you..." Lan Nara stroked her husband's cheek, "I just want to ask you, when I'm leaving, you should take good care of Lilis."
Han Xiang nodded slowly, trying to stay strong in front of his wife and child.
Han Xiang wanted to be with his wife for longer when one of the guards on duty came rushing over like seeing a ghost.
"Chairman, there's an attack at the gate, they're among the humans who want to attack our settlement!" Said the guard with intermittent breathing, in panic he ignored Han Xiang and Lan Nara who had made out earlier.
Han Xiang's face turned ugly, "How could they find this place, shouldn't anyone be able to see it?!"
"I don't know the Chief, they brought some dogs and it looks like they're here because of that dog."
Han Xiang bit his lips, "How many in total are they?"
"That's... We don't know but seeing from the sheer number of them, I suspect there are more of our officers!"
Han Xiang's expression worsened, he did not expect that this situation would happen to him when his wife was seriously ill.
"My husband..." Lan Nara became anxious.
"Don't worry, me and the other guards will drive them out of here, there's nothing you need to worry about..." Han Xiang calmed his wife down but in his heart he was unsure of her words.
Despite having several warriors in this settlement, Han Xiang knew clearly where they were. The highest strength alone had only reached the peak of the Silver Realm and that was him.
Since the beginning of this settlement was established only as a temporary residence, the Beast Man Race has always moved around to avoid human hunting.
Even though knowing the victory of his side was almost nil Han Xiang still went there, he told his wife to stay at home.
Han Xiang and the guard then left, not long after Han Lilis who had already cleaned up came, he heard the commotion earlier but not too clearly, he asked what had really happened to his mother, he said, the face of the teenage girl turned pale.

Dozens of human beast races stood before the gate, they were already carrying armaments complete with swords and arrows.
One of the officers approached Han Xiang and explained the situation, the human race who attacked their residence turned out to be a group of robbers.
They have launched a threat before, if the residents of this settlement do not open the gate for 5 minutes then they will barge in.
"Have you tried to negotiate with them?" Ask Han Xiang.
"Chairman, from the very beginning they're here to attack our settlement, whatever we're talking about won't affect their intentions."
Han Xiang's face became tangled, there seemed to be no other way for him to use violence in this situation.
"If you don't open this gate and turn yourself in, don't blame us for killing you all! Quickly open the gate! " Suddenly a rogues rang out behind the other side of the gate, his tone sounding annoyed and angry.
Han Xiang ran up to the guard tower to see the thieves, even though he had heard their numbers from his guards but he was still surprised after seeing them firsthand.
The bandits seemed to have run out of patience from waiting too long, a dozen of them finally started to draw arrows and release them towards the settlement.
The prepared guards immediately sought shelter while the others used shields to withstand the attack, no one was injured but their premonitions grew worse about the situation.
"Chairman, how will our next move be?!" Ask one of them with a hunting breath.
"Stay close the gate, lest they break through. We have to evacuate the others first while the rest hold the bandits..."
Not yet Han Xiang finished talking to his guards suddenly the rogues started to forcefully break down his gate using large pieces of wood.
The gate was only made of bamboo, its durability was so weak that it did not take long for the bamboo gate to be pierced by the rogues.
Han Xian and the other guards were already holding their own weapons, not letting the rogues go deeper into the settlement.
"Boss, see we find a lot of their races here?!" One of them exclaimed, he was the grown man that chased after Han Lilis earlier.
The rogues boss smiled broadly at the settlement built behind the fort, he could imagine the wealth gained if it sold all the girls and youths from this settlement.
"What's next, boss, catch them?"
"In addition to girls and not a swordsman, we kill them all!" The rogue boss laughed loudly.
Hearing this made Han Xiang and his guards hold his sword even tighter.
Han Xiang clenched his teeth, in one look he could see the strength of the bandits and realized their strength was superior to his side. Just as Han Xiang was still thinking Han Lilis suddenly came.
"Lilis, what are you doing here!?" Han Xiang was surprised not to play to see his daughter come here.
"Dad, i..." Han Lilis swallowed her saliva, she actually wanted to see the situation but did not expect it to be like this.
Han Lilis then sees two grown men chasing her last night among the bandits, the girl realising that they found this settlement because of her.
The bandits and Han Xiang's group couldn't hold out any longer to clash attacks, as both sides wanted to battle suddenly something quickly fell in their midst.
It was like a meteor that descended from the sky and landed violently, causing tremors on the ground as well as a lot of dust to reduce the surrounding visibility.
As their gaze began to clear, the rogues and Han Xian group were shocked to find someone behind it, that person was Zhou Yuan.
