Eps. 293 — Blade Sword II
Xiao Fan fell to his knees with blood flowing down his left chest to his stomach, the wound he had sustained was serious enough to make him limp from running out of blood.
Against all three Light Realm warriors at once was not an easy matter for Xiao Fan, from the very beginning he realized the chances of his victory against Huang Zhang were almost nil.
Just by exchanging dozens of moves Xiao Fan was already cornered and overwhelmed in the face of their countless attacks, his body started to get injured until he finally arrived at the present situation.
"This is the end of the Red Swordsman, it's an honor to fight with you, Fan..." Huang Zhang raised his sword, intending to swing at Xiao Fan to end the red-haired grandfather's life but his movements came to a halt as the Demon Sword came towards them.
Huang Zhang frowned looking at the state of the already injured Demon Sword as if he had been in a serious fight.
"What happened to you?"
"Chairman Huang Zhang, you may not believe it but listen to me first, in the middle row there is a warrior who..." Without further ado the Demon Sword instantly told about Zhou Yuan whom he recognized as a high-strength mask swordsman.
"Currently Brother Beiliang is blocking him but I'm sure he's been killed by now." Clearly the Demon Sword ended the story.
Beiliang was the criminal name of the Realm of Light that was previously defeated by Zhou Yuan. The Demon Sword made use of Beiliang's existence as a way to escape and reported this news to Huang Zhang.
Huang Zhang's face seemed to become tangled hearing the story. "Brebrother Beiliang confronted the warrior then what did you do, run away?!"
"Ah... That, i..." The Demon Sword was too panicked to even think clearly about what he said.
The response of the Demonic Sword made Huang Zhang even more furious due to its cowardly nature, the two Light Realm criminals who heard the report were just as shocked as not expecting the infamous Evil Sword in the Earth Empire to have such a timid nature.
Before Huang Zhang spoke a harsh word to the Demonic Sword suddenly something fell near them violently to the point of puffing dust into the surroundings.
Huang Zhang, the Demonic Sword, as well as the other two Light Realm Criminals instantly took some distance from something that was like falling from that sky, they became wary.
As the dust slowly disappeared they then saw a young man wearing a mask standing facing the four. The Demon Sword reacted the most as it recognized the masked young man.
"Chairman Huang Zhang, that young man I mean. He's the one who messed up the middle ranks of our army!" The Demon Sword pointed at Zhou Yuan even his face looked pale and frightened.
Huang Zhang raised his vigilance, without being told by the Demon Sword even though he sensed the intense aura of power from the masked young man's body.
"Who are you? What's your purpose here? Because I see you're not from government forces?"
Huang Zhang really did not know the identity of the masked man, either, he had already planted spies in the government forces to gather information but there were no reports explaining the joining of the masked young man let alone his high ability.
Huang Zhang was convinced that Zhou Yuan was not part of the government army, so he asked for his identity.
"You won't know my identity even if I tell him, I'm here to get rid of you too."
Zhou Yuan's reply left Huang Zhang puzzled, he did not understand the fortuitous definition the young man was referring to.
Zhou Yuan stood beside the injured Xiao Fan before touching the red-haired grandfather's shoulder and draining a deep gust of power at him.
"Thank you, I owe you." Xiao Fan's face did not look pale anymore after Zhou Yuan healed his wounds.
Zhou Yuan nodded, "Senior Xiao, I want to make a request to you, can you leave this place and let me fight them?"
"But, wouldn't we be better off working together?"
"I have enough ability to fight them alone, but you are more needed in other locations to win this war."
Xiao Fan smiled faintly, although he knew the reason Zhou Yuan said was not wrong but he understood the masked man's true intention that if he fought with him, he would fight with him, it was likely that he would become a burden in the fight.
Xiao Fan could not dodge so he bowed and thanked Zhou Yuan before leaving the place.
Huang Zhang cussed inwardly at Xiao Fan who was drifting away, he regretted not killing him sooner but on the other hand he did not rashly act immediately because of the masked man's existence.
Huang Zhang was still measuring the strength of the young man in front of him because seeing the condition of the frightened Demon Sword to such an extent he must have such a high ability.
"I don't know who and where you're from but seeing you on their side means you're also an enemy of us!" Huang Zhang drained his inner power, the two nearby Light Realm criminals also did something similar. "Strike him at the same time!"
The Demon Sword cussed, he actually did not want to exchange attacks with Zhou Yuan after seeing the young man's ability but seeing Huang Zhang and the others move he had no other choice but to join the fight.

Huang Zhang along with the three Light Realm criminals he had brought attacked Zhou Yuan incessantly, not letting the young man catch his breath or giving him a chance to take some distance.
Huang Zhang and Zhou Yuan's battle was gradually fierce and rapidly expanding so as to attract the attention of both sides of the troops, they could see such a fierce high-level swordsman fight.
Huang Zhang exerted all the abilities he had, not the slightest bit underestimating Zhou Yuan even though they were currently gnawing at him.
Although Zhou Yuan was attacked from various directions in fact the young man could defend against all four opponents at once, Zhou Yuan's sword quickly repelled any incoming attacks.
Zhou Yuan's sword movement felt familiar to Huang Zhang's eyes, he was unsure but it felt like he had seen such a sword pattern movement somewhere.
"He can defend against all four Light Realm warriors with 7 meridians opening up by himself, who exactly is this young man?" Inner Huang Zhang.
According to Huang Zhang, Guo Zhengxa, as the supreme leader of the Sky Cloud Temple even though he would not be able to fight against the 4 Light Realm warriors at once as Zhou Yuan did.
At least Huang Zhang could inflict injuries on Guo Zhengxa if he ganged on him like this but Zhou Yuan was able to compensate them so calmly that it made Huang Zhang even more wonder about Zhou Yuan's true identity.
