Eps. 228 — Rainstorm
"Why does it rain so often?" Zhou Yuan sighed as a single drop of rainwater touched his face.
Three days after Zhou Yuan parted ways with Jian Chen, he then continued the delayed journey towards the Moon Empire.
Not long after he left the city, Zhou Yuan had to face something beyond his control: the weather. Zhou Yuan had to land several times to take shelter before starting his journey when the rain subsided.
Zhou Yuan's current place is indeed entering the rainy season so that every day there will be rain for several hours.
On the third day since he left the city, Zhou Yuan had to return to seek shelter when droplets began to hit his body.
Zhou Yuan could not fly in the rain as it would reduce his visibility, having no choice he had to find shelter.
Before the rain became heavy, Zhou Yuan's gaze was then fixed on the dock of the docked ship.
On the dock there are several ships anchored, from small, medium, large, and luxury ships.
Right now Zhou Yuan indeed had to pass through a long river path to go to the Moon Empire, though, Zhou Yuan could have crossed the river quickly by flying but because it would soon be raining he chose to descend around the pier.
Zhou Yuan then landed after no one saw him flying, he then approached one of the ships and bought a ticket to board it.
Zhou Yuan planned to board the ship for a while while it was still raining, he also deliberately boarded a large ship that usually had more complete facilities.
As he boarded the largest ship, there were many passengers besides him and on average they were merchants.
The large ship that Zhou Yuan was riding on could at least accommodate two hundred people including animals and other heavy items. Large ships like this are usually used for long voyages.
"Can I rent a room?" Zhou Yuan asked one of the crew.
"There is a young master, if you want to rent a room then there are other rates to pay, the price may be a little expensive but that includes meals and others."
Zhou Yuan nodded then gave the ship's workers one gold coin. "I rented a room, the change you can take."
The ship's worker nodded and thanked him, he then took Zhou Yuan to one of the rooms on this ship.
Their room was actually quite spacious, complete with beds and fruits that had been stored there.
"To eat we will serve it half an hour after the ship sails, the young master can eat fruits while waiting, there will be a waiter who will knock on the young master's room and bring a meal napan..."
Zhou Yuan nodded, after flying for a few days Zhou Yuan had indeed not eaten at all, although he was not hungry as Zhou Yuan's massive physique and inner strength still felt that there was something lacking in his body.
A few minutes later the ship that Zhou Yuan boarded started sailing.
While waiting for the food to arrive, Zhou Yuan spent his time in his room to rest and relax a little. Zhou Yuan then recalled the spirit stone Jian Chen had given him before taking it out.
"Hm, is it true that this stone has properties for warriors, in addition to its color and texture, he is not much different from ordinary stones..." Zhou Yuan scratched his head looking at the spirit stone.
Zhou Yuan grasped one of the spirit stones in his right hand before then absorbing the stone energy into his body.

Zhou Yuan was surprised, even though he only briefly absorbed the spirit stone's properties but he felt the energy contained within the stone was very different much purer and abundant compared to eating the resource pill.
Zhou Yuan started to absorb the spirit stone into his body again, the energy from the spirit stone started flowing into each of his veins before spreading throughout the body.
The spirit stone continued to shrink as the energy in it decreased until it finally broke into pieces when the energy it contained was exhausted.
Zhou Yuan smiled widely, with just one spirit stone alone Zhou Yuan experienced a very rapid development in his martial moreover he absorbed the spirit stone entirely.
Zhou Yuan wanted to practice again but the knock on his bedroom door bothered him, the knock came from the waiter who was bringing the food he had been waiting for earlier.
"Thank you, you can take this..." Zhou Yuan threw the gold coin at the female servant as a tip for him.
The waiter was surprised that Zhou Yuan had given him the gold coins, no passenger had previously given such a large sum of money.
After the servant left, Zhou Yuan did not continue practicing but instead filled his stomach first.
From the outside he faintly heard a torrential rain falling with the deafening sound of thunder. The ship that Zhou Yuan boarded oscillated quite fast due to the heavy rain.
Zhou Yuan was grateful that he chose to take shelter on this ship first or else he would have to face this heavy rain.
"I wish this rain would subside sooner..." Zhou Yuan sensed not only was the rain rushing he was also accompanied by strong winds.

The torrential rain like the previous storm finally stopped after three hours of relentless flushing. When the sunlight began to appear on the sidelines of the cloudy cloud Zhou Yuan finally came out of the room and went to the bridge of the ship.
Zhou Yuan could see the crew looked exhausted after passing through the previous rain of wind, they were busy to balance the ship to stay in the path of the river as it should.
Zhou Yuan took a deep breath before exhaling slowly, the air after the rain was the air he liked the most because of the refreshing terrace.
Seeing that the weather had started to improve, Zhou Yuan intended to lift his foot from the ship by flying in the air, only then was Zhou Yuan about to do so suddenly the sound of the ship's bells sounded so loud.
"Pirates! There's a shake-up on the west side!"
Zhou Yuan frowned, he looked in one direction then found four foreign ships heading towards his ship. The ship was of medium size and could accommodate around dozens of people.
"Pirates? In the aftermath of a storm like this?" Zhou Yuan raised one eyebrow in astonishment.
