Legend of the Heavenly Fruit

Legend of the Heavenly Fruit
Eps. 23 — Worry

Zhou Yuan did not respond to the Night Bats Elder's shock, he continued to play his sword with great concentration while his opponent could only accept his attack with a lull.

The Night Bat elder let out a stifled scream, he tried his best to hold on but Zhou Yuan's sword speed was too fast to follow his eyes.

Slowly but surely a slash wound was engraved all over his body, the wound was not a mere sword scratch but followed by a burn as well.

The Night Bat Elder racked his brain in order to take some distance from Zhou Yuan but the little boy instead read his intentions and did not let that happen.

"Fire Sword Technique — Dusk Fairy Dance!"

Zhou Yuan instantly used the skill set in the Fire Sword Technique. A move that increased his sword speed by tenfold during the first twelve slashes.

The fire on Zhou Yuan's sword also instantly changed color to a dusky purple when using the Dusk Fairy Dance style. A fire that has a different color indicates a hotter temperature.

With his manager Zhou Yuan attacking the Night Bat Elder in a row. The elder was getting overwhelmed especially the wound on his body was getting worse.

It didn't take long for the Elder to be killed by Zhou Yuan, much blood coming out made his gaze even more blurred so that Zhou Yuan's next swing managed to take his life.

The Night Bat Elder died with his eyes open, perhaps he had not expected the end of his life to end like this.

When the elder's body fell to the ground, fresh blood appeared on the corner of Zhou Yuan's lips, besides his face seemed to be enduring intense pain.

Zhou Yuan fell in a kneeling position, he tried to move but his body did not follow his will.

"I guessed it, using the Fire Sword Technique on the body right now was indeed too risky..."

Unlike the Water Sword Technique, the Fire Sword Technique has a condition in its users, one of which is that it must have a strong physique.

Although Zhou Yuan had already managed to raise his bones to a high level yet the other physical forging had yet to train such as his muscles, blood, marrow and five senses.

At least Zhou Yuan could use the Fire Sword Technique without any side effects when all of his physical forging had reached 20% and above.

Zhou Yuan glanced at the sword he was holding, as the flames he had created earlier melted the blade.

The Fire Sword Technique indeed had to be accompanied by a powerful heirloom in its use in order for the sword not to be destroyed or melted like it is now.

If it was possible to choose Zhou Yuan would not use the Fire Sword Technique if the situation was not like this, but since his opponent was an early stage Gold Realm swordsman, he would inevitably have to use the skill.

Zhou Yuan was intending to leave that place when his body started to be able to move back, but before he did so suddenly there was a shouting voice mentioning his name.

The voice came from Zhou Yao, Zhou Yuan's father who was now running towards him. After searching his son everywhere Zhou Yao finally found Zhou Yuan after being notified by one of the officers.

While searching for his son, Zhou Yao's heart was overwhelmed with anxiety and fear, especially when he saw that his son was not in the Xiao Rou residence as he knew it and there was also a masked swordsman's body there.

Zhou Yao searched for Zhou Yuan amidst the numerous attacks around him, he saw when in the middle of his residence, the Zhou Family officers were more domineering than the masked assassins.

As far as Zhou Yao was concerned, there was no swordsman in the Zhou Family who was skilled in archery like this. He could see how the swordsman was very good at firing his arrows on target.

In the midst of his search, Zhou Yao finally found out who fired many arrows that were none other than his own son after being told by his family officers.

His son was also instrumental in turning the fighting situation into his superior family side.

Zhou Yao of course did not directly believe it for granted but for now that was not what he had to take care of, Zhou Yao had to look for the whereabouts of his son first.

On hearing Zhou Yuan was being chased by one of the masked assassins at the level of the Golden Realm, Zhou Yao's worries grew increasingly, without further ado he ran as hard as he could towards the south.

Zhou Yao finally arrived and found his son fine, he also saw that there was a Golden Realm assassin corpse not far from his son standing.

Zhou Yao's breathing was held back, he might have been surprised by Zhou Yuan's extraordinary talent but did not expect his son's ability to be more than he thought.

Now Zhou Yao believed the words of his family officers that Zhou Yuan was indeed the mastermind who killed the assassins in the middle of the Zhou Family residence.

"Dad..."

Zhou Yuan was surprised when he saw his father coming here, he was confused as to what he should say because his father had clearly witnessed him killing the assassin of the Golden Realm.

Before Zhou Yuan wanted to speak, Zhou Yao suddenly hugged him tightly. A feeling of worry evaporates when watching her child be okay.

"Dad, i..." Zhou Yuan realized he had made a mistake by making his parents anxious.

Zhou Yuan was too focused on eliminating the assassins for fear of harming his family, without realizing he should be the one to worry about.

A small child moving in the middle of a battle of hard and cruel warriors certainly makes anyone's parents worried. He forgot the small fact that he was now nothing more than a ten-year-old who was weak in his parents' sight.

Perhaps because it was only the first time having a family in this second life, Zhou Yuan had not thought about that side at all.

"You don't have to explain anything to Yuan'er, as long as you're safe, I'm really happy to see you..."

Zhou Yuan heard that wiping his tears slightly came out before nodding softly. Only her parents have always accepted who she is.

Zhou Yuan released a hug from his father, "Dad, we must quickly finish off the other masked assassins, do not let them leave alive..."

Zhou Yao coughed softly after hearing that, it was hard to accept such a cruel remark from a 10-year-old but upon thinking back, it was hard to accept, Zhou Yuan had actually killed many Night Bats members more than others even he felt fine after doing so even though killing someone needed a strong mentality.

Zhou Yuan's parents may not understand the reason his son said so, although Zhou Yuan was less active in his first life as a swordsman but he understood the workings of a group of assassins in the martial world.

As the name implies, the Killer Group is a group of murderers who are accustomed to murder, even some of them are worse at enjoying the murder itself.

Zhou Yuan did not want a group of assassins like the Night Bats to survive after this attack, otherwise the next attack might happen again.
