Legend of the Heavenly Fruit

Legend of the Heavenly Fruit
Eps. 181 — Morning Sunlight

Zhou Yuan opened his eyes slowly as a light gently highlighted his face. When his sight was clear he found that the light was coming from the warm morning sun.

Zhou Yuan then looked around and found himself in a room. Zhou Yuan was lying on the bed with his body covered in thick cloth.

"Where is this..." Zhou Yuan held onto his aching head while trying to turn his position into sitting.

While changing positions, Zhou Yuan discovered there was someone other than himself in the room. The person seemed to be asleep while sitting with his head on top of Zhou Yuan's bed.

Zhou Yuan was unaware of it at first but after being noticed for a longer time he seemed to recognize the person.

With long black hair up to waist and a slender body, that person was a female especially the clothes she wore were graceful white dresses.

"Xia 'er..." Zhou Yuan muttered softly.

Although Zhou Yuan's voice was slow but the murmur was enough to make the person wake up, he raised his head and then saw his face which turned out to be Linxia.

Linxia blinked his eyes waking up several times before then looking at Zhou Yuan from the ground up. A second later he changed his expression into a shock mixed with happiness when he realized Zhou Yuan was awake.

"Brother Yuan..." Linxia directly hugged Zhou Yuan tightly. "I know you're gonna wake up, I miss you so much!"

Zhou Yuan smiled then stroked the back of Linxia's hair gently, he saw how worried the girl was. Zhou Yuan let Linxia hold her for so long.

"Xia'er, are we already in another realm?" After Linxia let go of his embrace, Zhou Yuan then asked the girl.

Linxia looked puzzled by Zhou Yuan's question before answering him with a headband.

Zhou Yuan scratched his head, he was sure that he was currently dead. "Could this be heaven?" Ask once more.

Linxia this time responded with a chuckle, "Brother Yuan, do you think we are dead?"

"Don't it have to be?" Zhou Yuan raised his eyebrows.

Linxia. "We're not dead, we're alive. Looks like we've survived the lightball's attack."

Linxia later explained that there was someone who saved them and had taken care of all four while unconscious.

"I also just woke up two months ago, I'm happy that we're alive." Linxia answered him with great relief.

"Wait a minute..." Zhou Yuan still did not understand the situation. "We live, shouldn't we..."

Zhou Yuan was still reminded of the ball of light Xie Bui was shooting rapidly towards the four of them, Zhou Yuan's gaze darkened when the ball of light was already near him.

Linxia said he also did not understand the situation more clearly, when when he first regained consciousness, he found himself lying in bed like Zhou Yuan now.

The man who saved her said she had been unconscious for three days.

"Three days? Didn't you say it was two months ago?"

Linxia nodded then explained that Zhou Yuan had been unconscious for two months and that it was Linxia who was worried and waiting for him for so long. Linxia was happy that Zhou Yuan woke up this morning.

Zhou Yuan remembered that he had suffered severe injuries shortly before Xie Bui was attacked but now he felt his body had recovered even though he felt so weak.

This showed that the person who saved him had taken good care of himself, Zhou Yuan wanted to thank the person so much if he met him.

"Xia'er, what else is fine as well?"

Linxia nodded, he understood what Zhou Yuan meant was Yifei and Xiao Rou.

"They're fine just haven't woken up like you, according to Miss Yun the condition of both of them has improved and will come to a realization soon."

Zhou Yuan breathed a sigh of relief and was also pleased with the condition of Yifei and Xiao Rou, Zhou Yuan stroked Linxia's cheeks gently, it seemed like the girl was the first to come to her senses among them, Zhou Yuan saw Linxia was so worried about him as he was unconscious.

"I'm sorry for making you worry like this..." Zhou Yuan felt guilty. "You look thinner than before."

Although it still looks beautiful but Linxia's condition is a little not too good, his body looks thinner than he remembers.

That was indeed true because when Zhou Yuan and the others were unconscious, Linxia rarely ate unless forced to. He was not tasteful enough to eat as his thoughts were filled with anxiety at the thought of Zhou Yuan's unfolding condition.

Linxia's face turned red when Zhou Yuan alluded to it, he immediately covered his face with both hands for not wanting Zhou Yuan to see his condition in this way.

The two talked about another topic but ten minutes later a girl entered Zhou Yuan's room.

"Miss Yun..." Linxia immediately moved on and saluted the girl.

The girl nodded softly at Linxia before turning her head towards Zhou Yuan, "It seems like you've come to a realization, I'm glad you're okay." The girl greeted Zhou Yuan kindly.

"Thank you for helping me and taking care of me..." Zhou Yuan saluted the girl by lowering his head.

The girl called Linxia was in fact a young woman whose age looked like a dozen years even almost the age of Zhou Yuan. The girl was named Yun Bailian according to a story from Linxia.

Yun Bailian had a face that was no less beautiful than Yifei, white, his body so slender with short hair to a shoulder.

Zhou Yuan could feel the girl exuding a charismatic aura that made anyone looking at her would feel respect for her.

"I just did what I had to do, my grandmother found you lying in the yard wounded..." Bailian nodded slowly.

Yun Bailian explained Zhou Yuan and the others appeared when a portal was formed in his yard. The portal took out the four of them who had already fainted when it appeared.

Zhou Yuan was surprised when Bailian offended the portal, he was increasingly clueless as the four of them should be currently still in the academy.

"According to Grandma, you guys seem to be carried away by an unstable portal and appear randomly in my yard. I also found this mirror..." Bailian showed a mirror that was now cracked and gave it to Zhou Yuan.

Zhou Yuan received the mirror, it was no mistake that the mirror Yun Bailian had given him was a reflection of his portal which he had bought from the auction.

The moment Zhou Yuan remembered the seconds before he was hit by Xie Bui's light energy, his portal mirror fell down and suffered a crack. Zhou Yuan's memory became refreshed when he recalled a portal appearing a second before Xie Bui's light ball energy hit him.
